It's shamess people who are the problem not the bible.

@@efef6853 you cannot overlook that the bible killed more cultures than any other book. The amount of wars and subjugation over it is unparalleled in human history. The consistentency of violence through history is a direct effect of its claim of exclusivity over a truth claim rather than random acts of individuals.
Just to be clear this violence has not gone away even today, it is just gentrified into missionary activities, conditional "aid" in exchange for conversion and resources; and even covert wars particularly in African continent.
Whatever people subscribed Christian or Islamic fairhs refer to as "culture" be it Christmas, Halloween, Lent or Nowroz is a bastardised funneling of thier pagan roots.
The world has lost a great deal of philosophies, sciences and epistemologies due to these books.

@@shravandikshith "Our ancestors were afraid to question the wrongs, standup with courage and fight back!"
You make it sound like Indians had no morals. That Indians had no moral code of conduct. That India had no warriors. That there were no men of honour in India. You make it sound as if there was no Dharma in India. I know of my ancestors. I know that their Dharma was the Kshatriya Dharma, and many of them followed it. And I know most citizens of our country today had ancestors who were honourable, who had their own system of morals and ethics.
You say that our ancestors were afraid to fight back? Have you read your own History sir? Have you read nothing of the great warriors and freedom fighters that have graced our nation? Have you read not of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Subhash Chandra Bose, The Queen of Jhansi, the 21 Sikhs at the Battle of Saragarhi, The Marathas, The Rajputs, The Sikhs?
We were not united and that was the problem. Britain simply played dirty politics and used Divide and Rule, better technology and control of sea trade to their advantage. We did not lose because of the reasons you mentioned. Perhaps your choice of words is so poor that I am unable to grasp the idea you are trying to propagate. Or maybe you actually have no idea about your own history.
All due respect, your comment is complete nonsense. Absolutely nothing about Indian history is anything like you surmised. Instead in fact, its the exact opposite. Indian history is a struggle filled with brave men and women fighting for their rights of self-determination on all fronts: against the British, against Islamic invaders, against social injustice and as a result, amongst each other.
I suggest you read your History books again. Our education system has clearly failed you.

Please tell.me you are a 5th fail.. coz otherwise I m ashamed.of the education system in india.
Laxmi bai died in 1857,bhagat died in 1923,. Bose (Nazi lover bastard) absconded in 1945 to save his life...
Wow.. idiots are everywhere in india these days..
None of those ppl deserve any commemoration .. not even laxmi bai, she refused to listen to her experienced generals and that is why she lost like a bitch.
Read some history and not the one being taught by fraud ganjedi ravishankar...
Be useful to india.. stop listening to modi. He wants to sell india to please the people in rss whose plates and homes he used to wash.
      Use your education.

The brutality of Muslim invaders was multitude of atrocities. They killed 80 million innocent people and sold 2 million women and children in slave markets of Yemen and Oman. After treading them across desert chained and naked. The world discusses about world wars with the greatest tragedy, in comparison to world war casualties here were 12X and the killings by British is 20 million who again is 4X of world war casualties!

There's a difference though. Americas, Africa, Australia etc contained people who didn't even invent wheel or mostly stuck in pre iron age. India was a complex society with emperor to grass root level governing systems, taxation, property structures, vast industries of textiles, spices, diamonds, jewellery, silk, cotton etc. It had vast literature bigger than the combined literature of Europe at that time, with religious and cultural influence Pan Asia. It had the largest tax revenue and biggest economy in the world. The tax revenue of one emperor out of 4 in India exceeded that of the combined revenue of top 10 European monarchs. Now you know why Britian become the richest and greatest empire in history leaving behind other Europeans. Now you know why such extravagant buildings like Red fort and Taj Mahal was possible to build. India was the most important colony. By controlling India and to some extend China, Two of the world's biggest economies of that time, Britian become the most powerful empire in history. They called India, "The jewel in the crown of the British Empire"

As well as civilizations like mesopotamian, egyptian and greeks and nortechico and china were as old as indus river valley civilization.Wheel was invented in mesopotamia. Mesopatamia, egyptian and greeks and china also had complex civilizations. I think it would be better to say that asia and africa as well as greeks once rule the world with their beautiful and wonderful literature and knowldge maybe. Europe exploited everything even resources of america. You are true they should pay 45 to 60 trillion dollars.

    Watch "Bose: Dead or Alive"
It is a series when India struggled to get Independence, when Congress party and Gandhi tried to take over things and just become the other dynasty who wanted to rule India according to there whims and wishes (and did). It really was Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose because of whom we live in an independent country, he is the one who really made British leave our country. Oh and btw, he was made to disappear when the Congress party, especially Jawahar lal Nehru our first prime minister was scared because of Netaji's rising popularity and following. Hence it will always remain a mystery as to where did he go or how he died after Independence.
If you have any interest in knowing about India's Independence story, its one of the best series to watch. Try it!!

We have an interactive classroom in India and we often engage in debates beyond our one sided textbooks and everyone who is pro British colonialism often bring up the whole railways and roads thing and when we say that it wasn't really constructed for the locals the rebuttal is often "Well it was constructed in India nonetheless" and to all of those people I say- "Many countries have built railways and roads and are doing rather well for themselves without colonial oppression."

There is no need to fact check what Mr. Tharoor is saying. If we use a little bit of common sense it is understandable that- The fact that Britain and other European countries were desperate to invest so much time, money and effort into finding an alternate route to reach India, itself is proof enough that India had something that European countries needed/wanted but didn't already have! Also the fact that they stayed in India for 200 years, is a proof that they found what they wanted. And when they were done looting they finally left!
