Other freedom fighters are Gopinath Bordoloi, Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Maniram Dewan, Kushal Konwar, Hem Barua (Tyagbir), Bhogeswari Phukanani. Other prominent freedom struggle unsung heroes from Northeast India are Major Paona Brajabashi, Bir Tikendrajit Singh, Rani Gaidinliu (13 years old Naga girl), Haipou Jadonang, U Tirot Sing Syiemlieh, Moje Riba, U Kiang Nangbah, Pa Togan Sangma. Usually I avoid crying but I don't know why eyes are full with tears right now. The most important thing about this video is that they are not glorifying only some particular personalities like bhagat singh, netaji etc to humiliate the contribution of other freedom fighters like aruna asaf ali, pandit Nehru, c. Rajagopalachari, tilak, gandhiji etc because unfortunately this has become a trend specially in some sections of North india. We must understand that the freedom of a country with 370 million people could never achieve without the collective effort of every section of society. Every one has their own contribution in our freedom struggle so one is smaller or bigger than anyone

This is by far the most unbiased and correct history anyone can narrate. Kudos to Annu Kapoor for being honest in today's times when everyone is following a right wing agenda and distorting history and insulting Gandhi ji and so many Muslim leaders!! We fought this battle togethe.Everyone contributed in their own way! The revolutionaries sent a msg to the British that we will not quietly endure their oppression and Gandhi ji sent a msg that we will not co-operate with you in your development ( we being their workforce). But the bastard Britishers divided us even after leaving!! Gandhiji never wanted us divided! Never.
That is perhaps the biggest disaster in our history! 🙏

It was the Naval mutiny and the ultimate success of the revolutionaries to stoke dissention among the armed forces which forced the British to leave.

Even despite having just watched a video that showcased how different ideologies contributed to our freedom, there are people apparently fashioning themselves as connoisseurs of freedom fighters thinking they are worthy enough to sort who is a good enough freedom fighter and who isn't. I'm sorry, but bluntly put - _aukat nahi hai aapki_ . People in today's India don't have an ounce of the courage our freedom fighters had back then. That people think that they deserve to vilify any freedom fighter with their nuggets of misinformation, half-knowledge or agendas would be laughable, if not so distasteful.
India's journey to freedom was long, complicated and arduous. It was not obtained at the hands of one man or one event, but with a series of struggles sometimes holding even conflicting ideologies. The more you read about it, the more you see the picture unfolding and even sometimes going all over the world including Britain and America. So here's a crazy idea - you can respect all of them. You don't need to bring down another to bolster the one you ideologically agree with. Because all of them respected each other and were certain of their patriotism even if they disagreed.
I may perhaps be old-fashioned and I'm not saying that they were perfect, but people should at-least have the decency to not disrespect freedom fighters during their historical crises. Chances are far more likely than not that your opinions have not been circumspect and thorough enough. And where would that leave you except as an ungrateful prick.
