    Thanks Mitch, very helpful.
    I am doing a Burgman 650 and the internals are identical except the struts are a bit longer and there is a steel tube on top of the spring to make up for the extra length. i had a difficult time getting the bottom (8mm) bolt out. The threaded tube inside the strut does not have a T55 female receptical but the it is pretty close to the t55 diameter. My tube just spun in the bottom of the strut when I tried to turn the 8mm hex and the T55 wouldn't engage the tube.. Once I wacked the end of the extension stack with the hammer, the T55 wedged in the tube and everything came apart. Just a note in case anyone else experiences the same problem.
    Keep up the good work and get yourself a work bench and a vice for Christmas!

    Hi Mike, a suggestion when opening the forks while still on the triple clamp, is to undo the top pinch bolt, will make the life much easier on the fork cap thread. Excellent video thanks!

    Hi, video is great, I like how everything is clear without the need for sub-questions.
    I have Kymco xciting 500 from 2005 and I can not find anywhere information how much oil goes in to the fork. Do you have any experience with a Kymco? I'd appreciate it if you could help me with this problem that I have, because I do not know how much oil I have to put in the the fork.

    Do you sure about T55 torx bit? I can not open the 8mm allen screw. (revolves around himself)

    As for the TX55 bit: As in Mitch's list it _have_ to be a bit with 3/8" drive. The outer diameter of a TX55 bit with usual 1/2" drive is to large for the lower, inner tube so the teeth of the TX55 never reach to the bottom into the splines of the inner tube.

    At me the problem arises at the moment of extraction of the chromeplated stock, it is not taken out, and if strongly to pull that and generally jams. Peugeot Satelis 250

    Hi. Firstly thanks for the hard work doing all the videos. They are invaluable. I'm having real trouble getting the forks apart. I bought a long, thin T55 but it doesn't seem to be engaging. I had a look at the workshop manual. This shows using special tool Suzuki part number 09940-34531 also known as Attachment A. Could my K7 forks need this and not a T55?

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome Paul! Try to push T55 in harder and hold.... if it didn't work out... go ahead buy the special tool

    что он там торксом фиксирует ? там внутри нет граней под него, как зажать болт снизу при сборке?

    • @scum696ful
      @scum696ful 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      снизу 2 года назад задавали уже такой вопрос. Говорит, мол туда вставляешь, жмешь как конь внутрь торкосом 55 и пытаешь зафиксировать. А если силы слабые, используй специнструмент. Вот интересно, гайговертом выкрутить можно?)))
