I have the Nimbus 25 , I went to try out the cumulus 25 at the store today, they share some similarities but they are both very different sneakers. I feel like Cumulus 25 is the more balanced versatile can do anything with it while wearing it sneaker out of the 2
I totally agree. They share very similar traits, and yet both very different. If you like the knit up material that’s more elastic and pliable then the Nimbus 25 is for you. But if you want a more structured and stable shoe then I would recommend the Cumulus 25. I ran 5 miles in the Cumulus 25 today and walked 10 miles in them and they felt good ever step.
Just ordered gel cumulus 25..us size 13..was using asics trail scout 2 earlier..but being a 5k daily morning runner..i would prefer cumulus..only thing is i ordered size 13 whereas size 12 was good enough for me..i hope i wont regret it..thanks for the review
It is good to know that the upper is more resilient this time around. A few previous versions of the Gel-Cumulus that I had always had some hole appearing in the upper. The 23rd version was the most breathable but also the one with the most fragile upper ... Most years that I had the Gel-Cumulus I also had the Gel-Nimbus ,and they work well in a rotation. Only the 24th versions that both shoes had about the same weight... better just to buy the Gel-Nimbus 24.
Yes, I’m so glad they made the upper stronger and better than before. They definitely did a really good job on this iteration. The nimbus 25 felts good as far as the midsole is concerned, but I didn’t like the upper or the tongue as much as the Cumulus 25.
@@filoIII it is almost impossible to find the Gel-Nimbus 24 at this time. The Gel-Nimbus 26 is about to launch early January 2024. I loved the 25th ,but I preferred the 24th version for its versatility. I guess ,if we want that we will need to go with the Gel-Cumulus 26 or Nova Blast 4....
Previously bought the Nimbus 23 and Nimbus 24 and based on you excellent review I am going to try the Cumulus 25. I found the Nimbus to be narrow so I had to get a Wide version. Is the Cumulus also narrow or are they true to size?
I have been using the nimbus 24 for the past 1 yr for my daily runs. That's the best running shoe i have had in my life. Super comfy & stable . But after completing 500km , i can see visible wear & tear in the outsole so i thought of buying the nimbus 25. After seeing ur video, i might change my mind & go for the cumulus 25 instead 😊
I'm wondering if the new Cumulus is the Nimbus 24. The outsoles on the Nimbus 24 are RIDICULOUSLY poor quality, and soft. Nimbus USED to be durable as anything.
I live in a hot beach area of Mexico, so for me the breathability and freshness of the Nimbus is priority, i have the Nimbus 24 and love them. Great for long walks. Very cool shoe.
Thanks for taking the time to comment Franco. I really appreciate it. I completely understand. It makes a lot of sense to have a more breathable shoe like the Nimbus.
@@filoIII Both while very similar on paper, I will favor the Numbus 24 due to the better materials on the uppers, the stretchy Tongue is fabulous on the Nimbus 24, and it feels while bouncy and sporty yet very stable. you would need to actually walk or run on both, but you will get a very similar feel on foot. the Nimbus 25 es very different than both, those who prefer stability, will prefer the 24s or the Cumulous 25s. if you really want great comfort and support for your arches, try also the Kayano 30s. I love those also for special runs.
I just got my first run done in the cumulous and have to say I don’t like it. The feet felt like they were heating up in the upper. I am regretting my purchase. I have previously used the Saucony shift and brooks Hyperion Max and they are pure class. I look fwd to wearing them with a smile and I doubt I’ll have a smile when I put the cumulus on next time.
I’m sorry to hear that. I did have the same experience when it came to the heating up. I had some hot spots as well. I can report that after many many runs in this shoe it has gotten better. I feel like that the shoe improves the more you run in it. I’ve done 6-10 miles each run in them and they are growing on me. I agree with you. The Hyperion max was pure class.
I have done 1800km in my cumulus 23 and they are really workhorse.. Recently I tried cumulus 24 , Nimbus 25 and novablast 3 in asics store and bought novablast 3 as I wanted something more cushioning.. After watching your cumulus 25 I am thinking to pick cumulus 25 again.. Are they better then novablast 3 ? I am forefoot striker and do easy run 2-3miles daily
Thank you for your interaction. The Novablast 3s are really good shoes as well. The more that I run in the cumulus 25 the more I like them better than the Novablast 3. I thoroughly think that you will benefit from both shoes.
I have the cumulus 24 and the 25 is a significant design change and upgrade..it's not available at the moment in my country, but I guess it won't be long until it comes out for sale..
I totally agree. It’s definitely a significant upgrade. I’m sure you will enjoy it whenever it is available in your country. Hopefully it will be sooner than later
Hello, I've just tried Cumulus 25 and it is very light, soft and has good transition. I wonder whether it's good for walking/standing between these shoes and nimbus 23. The nimbus 24 is too narrow while cumulus 24 has thick upper so I skipped them out.
Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you had a chance to try the Cumulus 25s out. You’re right. It’s very light and soft. I hope you have a good ride in them.
I did a 2 hour run in them and they help up pretty good. I did have some hot spots in them at times. I don’t believe these shoes are specifically made for people who have plantar fasciitis, nevertheless there is an ample amount of cushioning that could help your foot during the PF difficulty spots.
Hi mate I feel painful for my nimbus 24 the mid sole is too soft making my feet too tired for daily causal walk, I am deciding nimbus 25 or cumulus 25 for causal use, when u firstly try nimbus 25, it is quite impressed but I afraid the mid sole is too soft, any advice for me pls?
The specs might have a better bang for your buck in terms of performance. But in terms of the most important category for me, looks/aesthetic, Nimbus all the way. Yes I’m shallow like that 😁
I bought the Cumulus 25, too. I tried some different models and initially wanted to try some Hoka, but they are too narrow. The Cumulus was the right shoe for me, the Nimbus doesn‘t feel right, i think because i am on the heavier side.
Can anyone recommend a good shoe for jumping rope and running in place? I'm a true beginner and on the heavier side (I need to lose anout 65 pounds). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I understand now :) no worries. I’m my opinion I believe the Cumulus 25 is better than the Nimbus 24. I would say it’s a overall better efficient built shoe.
Thank you so much for the detailed review... I was about to buy Nimbus 25... Now i changed my mind and will go with Cululus 25.

The Cumulus 25 fits true to size and isn’t too narrow. I didn’t have any problems with it.
What about toebox? I like Nimbus 23 (less 24) for spacious toebox. I tried 25 and toebox is narrow.
Compare the Nimbus 24 to the Cumulus 25, plz.

Should i buy this over Nike pegasus 39 ekiden edition?
Please tell, im confused between these two
I personally didn’t like the Nike Pegasus 39…they are 2 different types of shoes. I feel like the Cumulus is more comfortable.
@@JoelLong which one of the two is more durable as i have to wear it all day in Gym, Clases, etc.,.
I believe the cumulus would be more durable and the more comfortable if you are wearing it all day.
