I got the novablast 3 and ninbus 25 and the novablast definitely feels more springy. I find myself wanted to start running when im walking around at work with the novablast. I like both of them a lot
Novablast 4 didn't gain any stack compared to the previous model. Asics changed the way they count stack in their shoes to keep it consistent with the competition.
I am trying to decide between the Nimbus and the Novablast. I would be using it as a daily shoe i would be using them for walking and workouts. I am leaning towards the Novablast because of the price and the fact that it's supposed to be a little more roomy in the toebox. I tried the Nimbus on and liked it, but it was a little tight. If i were to get the movablast, should i get a wide in that case? I dont know of anywhere that i could try the Novablast on is my hesitation.
I've tried the Novablast and you feel high off the ground and its not the most stable of shoes. So depending on how you run, biomechanics (maybe you have joint issues) it might not be what youre after. I have dislocated my kneecaps because of acl ruptures and running in the Novablast can only be described as feeling perilious! The Nimbus has a much wider base throughout so I am inclined to give that a try instead. The Cumulus offers something inbetween the two with better stability. In fact, for walking and workouts I might take a look at the Cumulus 25.
sorry sir, i'm bad at english, for bad healthy like my leg (I already get 3 times ankle sprain in my right) should i but the soft one or the stiff one? Or should i get Novablast 4 or Cumulus 26? thank you
I think you should get stability shoes like asics gel kayano if u injured. While novablast, nimbus and cumulus is neutral shoes, it doesnt offer much stability.
I will need a new Easy Day shoe pretty soon. At the moment I am using the Cumulus 25. My other shoes: - Endorphin Speed 3: Tempo & Intervals - Superblast: Long Runs (fast) My Easy Runs are usually 8-12k. Which of the three would you recommend considering the other shoes in my rotation?
The Nimbus 26 is a pretty great shoe, but I would recommend the Novablast 4 because it will fall in line as a strong training companion to the Superblast. - Brandon
Novablast is a good shoe, but not the best when in the hot summer/weather run. I prefer to run in cumulus 26> Novablast 4 which more breathable for 10k-21k run
I like the look of the nova blast and considered it, but I don’t know that it is a better option for me than the Rebel v.4 or the Mach six. How would you compare it against those two models?
We compared the Rebel and Mach here: th-cam.com/video/e6w1pIE-c6c/w-d-xo.html All good options and most likely depends on the type of underfoot feel you prefer!
@@sonnguyenhoang8771 yeah, very comfy! Using it as my daily trainers now. Got it a week ago and used it twice, need to break in more I guess to experience its full potential.
I recently went to buy some shoes @ one of your stores. I tried on the Cumulus and the Nimbus. My Asics GT-1000...which are probably an old model felt softer than the firmer cumulus. I ended up purchasing the Nimbus 26 but now I doubting if it's too thick. I like cushion but I guess I'll find out when I wear them on my first run . I tried wearing them to the gym today but it felt like they were too thick to walk around in and should only be used for road running. The employee was nice but wasn't too much help, I'm hoping that I made the right purchase. Like I stated I have the Asics GT-1000, I would like a similar pair but with a bit more cushion. If you can help, that would be great. Just FYI, I have orthotics for plantar fasciitis to place in the shoes. Thank you!
I have a very similar experience with cumulus 26, decent shoe and cushioning for road running but in the gym them cushioning feels weird esp when I'm lifting weights. My previous shoe was Gel Excite Trail it had a better ratio of cushioning vs stability in the gym as compared to cumulus 26 for my use case.

@@fleetfeet699, is it better to go with Stability Kayano or cushioned Nimbus for someone who has knee pain (meniscus)? on recovery and usually for long walking and short jogging.
And after all this empty talk… the elephant in the room remained! Cumulus is a supinator shoe! You just cant appreciate it if you are normal/overpronator! And vice versa, I cannot worn a nimbus! NB is kind of a bland over-stacked and would dare to say unstable shoe! If it was a Super Blast, than that is a good shoe! But not the NB!
Nice review! I have a dilemma...........I weigh 73 kg H 180cm and I ran the last 100km with the Novablast 3 in 9 hours and 45 minutes............For the 100Km del Passatore, in two months, I'm undecided whether to use the Novablast 4 (less reactive than the 3) or the Cumulus which I was pleasantly surprised with in training, especially in the uphill/downhill sections which seem to create less pain and tire the quadriceps less when going downhill ...........What do you think? Do I lose performance with the Cumulus compared to the Novablast 4? And also: is the Cumulus 25 or the latest 26 better? Thank you!
I would like to point out that the 100km Passatore race has around 17km of uphill, where you reach around 1000m, then immediately after 17km of downhill. Are you sure that the Novablast 4 is better than the Cumulus for cushioning the stress on the quadriceps when going downhill? And also, it doesn't seem to me that the weight is that different, we're talking about a few grams! And in terms of speed, do you think I would lose something or not?Thanks!@@fleetfeet699
