Maybe it’s because it’s 2023 and a lot of people find Herbert too much of a “pedophile” that if they added him to the newer seasons, the show would be boycotted and cancelled.

I like Boston Stewie and I appreciate the fact that he's not just another evil twin. They're total opposites but get along pretty well. I think they could complement each other and would love to see him come back for more shenanigans. I didn't care for the other plot.

The joke was about how miscarriages are considered abortions/murder in some states now.
And how Texas is so outlandishly evil, that they would put bounties on people getting lifesaving/needed medical situations.

Lydia should definitely do an episode about everyone's favorite pervert named Herbert. I definitely forget he used to be a semi key character in the show. Surprised Family guy hasn't just done an episode yet where he's died or something.

I love the "Last good Jet" joke Boston Stewie did. That was the exact over-the-top joke Family Guy has gotten known for, but with a meaning behind it for once, not just for the sake of being shocking and crass.

I think the writing has changed so dramatically since Disney bought Fox, edgier jokes and characters like Herbert are few and far between, even cut-aways seem to happen less often. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

Stewie is one of the stronger Griffins right next to Peter, and he's a baby. So I don't think the writers really care about how realistic it is.

I think Herbert was removed probably by demands of Disney.

Wow! I like how grown up Meg sounds at 4:17 like she actually sounds like someone who's what? 19? 20 years old at this point? And not like she's still 15
Meg strangely is the only one of the Griffins who seem to age, since she used to go to High School with Chris but now they've been talking about college stuff for her and she became 18 in one episode (Quagmire was quick to try seduce her once she did) but it's actually nice that Meg has matured more

I think Boston Stew’s logic was that obviously Lois didn’t wan’t him since she donated her eggs to begin with so why would he bother trying to get to know her.

I hate how Herbert is barely in the show anymore. Hes one of the few characters that still makes me laugh

According to the wiki, Herbert’s latest appearance was in the last season from the very first episode of that season. But yeah I’m very surprised they didn’t utilize him in a joke somewhere

This episode kind of confirms something rather crazy. Peter has the smart genes, as he has produced Stewie and Bertram (and all of those people from that one terrible episode, but I don't try to think about that one).

Ever since they toned down quagmire all the perv jokes went to Chris, it’d be a shame if they erased Herbert. Since Mike Henry stepped down from being Cleveland’s VA he’s only voiced Consuela once I think but he’s been doing overtime as Bruce so hopefully we’ll be seeing more of Mike Henry’s characters (except Rallo and greased-up-deaf-guy)
Lydia, your Griffin family tree is not outdated. He's Stewie's brother from Lois's side which makes him a Pewtersmidt, not a Griffin. And you haven't done a Pewtersmidt family tree yet ( wink wink)

The whole plot line of Lois donating her eggs made no sense. Lois grew up rich. Why would she ever do that?
Would’ve made more sense if he was one of Peters sperm donations if I remove he did donate like billions of sperm
I really liked the scene where they were throwing shade at Harvard. Other than that, I think Boston Stewie had potential, and there's a lot of Ted type vibes in there I quite liked. I want to see the character again, but used a little better next time.

If Boston Stewie looks like stewie and has none of the intelligence and Louis is the only parent related to Boston Stu. That would mean Stewie gets his looks from Louis. Which also means he must get his intelligence from Peter?! This might be a Homer situation where he is actually really smart but did something dumb as a kid or had an accident (also why Lisa is really smart because she gets it from Homer). Another similarity between Peter and Homer, what a shock right.
I forget where I heard that cake-crushing thing was a fetish, I think it was on some TLC show, my strange addictions or smth; this guy was into women sitting in/stepping on cakes, specifically in like fairytale costumes. so when meg posted that pic of chris I was like "oh no..." lol I understand the fetish of watching someone covered in frosting or whatever, and I hate to kinkshame, but just messing up perfectly good food is never gonna sit right with me...uh no pun intended

So, I was under the impression that the “football-shaped head” gene came from Peter, seeing as Stewie looked the same as a sperm and Bertram had the same shaped head
But since one of Lois’ eggs produced a baby who is a dead ringer for Stewie, I’m starting to wonder just how many times the Griffin and Pewterschmit family trees have overlapped. If anything, Stewie’s head might be a product of inbreeding
Does this mean stewies intelligence comes from Peter. I mean Bertram was Peter's kid and he was super smart just like stewie. I'm not saying Boston stew is dumb, but he's no Bertram or stewie.
I completely agree with thinking his brother would want Stewie’s “loving” family! When the scene of Lois kissing Stewie’s head came up I was like “Oh is this where he sees the love and wants it for himself?” But nope! And I like it that way. I really don’t think we need another evil/antagonistic half sibling. I also feel like if they did do it that way, people would complain about rehashing an old trope. It did seem like the plots wrapped up pretty fast though. I feel like we only needed the one Peter diva scene, plus that way we could’ve gotten more Chris. Agreed as well with the motives for Chris leaving. What was the point of showing he’s embarrassed being called a “sit slut” if he’s gonna leave bc of his ego? Lmao

I actually really liked that he didn't turn his aggression against stewie at all, it really looked like it was going to be that once again so I was pleasently surprised how it turned out. Since this would have been like the third time we would have gotten an "evil" twin/clone of stewie, someone he gets along with is really better. But I would have liked if he was introduced as a character that has the chance to show up again because I honestly don't think we'll ever get to see him again
I think the whole twist is supposed to be that Bertram's intelligence came from Peter's side of the family. But from Lois's side Boston Stu got Lois's aggression.

Herbert disappearing was the only thing I liked the most with the newer seasons, from the early ones I always skipped when he showed up
I would not be surprised if there were a throwaway line in the future that Herbert died of age, or someone's in a graveyard for some reason and Herbert's grave is just in the background.
Those Meg cutaway’s are far more entertaining than mayor Wild West and Peter with his friends episodes!

As a NY Jets fan, that scene made me bust out laughing, was not expecting that at all. Definitely the highlight of the episode for me! The Chris/Meg plot was okay, but the Stewie plot was pretty funny to me. Always love when they make fun of Boston lol
I think with Boston stewie one they probably didn’t want the episode to feel like a cliche “I’m going to take your mom from you.”/“Steal your identity.” EPS that’s probably why they didn’t have Boston stewie try to fit in with the family.

I don't know if you were aware of this before but in the earlier seasons the one voice actor who voiced Cleveland was also the same voice actor who voiced Herbert as well and the last time I checked the original voice actor left the show entirely after the Cleveland show was cancelled so that might be why he hasn't shown up in family Guy since The Cleveland show
At this point you should probably just go back and rank every episode of the show that would be fun😅
