The videos with Rory and Alex are proof Alex can transcended the silliness of his other videos and mature to be a much better presenter. These two have genuine chemistry with believable, antagonistic banter, and they should be doing WAY more together.
Taylor started well with Alex but it’s all got a bit pants with him recently.
Much better like this, or when he’s with Gareth, or car throttle etc.

I think someone hasn't measured out the 1/4 mile properly, those 1/4 times are about a second quicker than what they 'should' be in the dry!

Carwow did exactly the same race and the Porsche did an 11.4 and the bmw did an 11.7 in the bone dry. But the bmw just would not launch properly

There’s no way they ran said times in the wet , I mean the z06 in good conditions runs a 10.5 and walks the gt3

No way those 1/4 mile times are real, it's closer to 911 turbo s time on a dry pavement.

That M4 is insanely uncontrollable traction... But when it come with good launch, that thing can beat 911 for sure... What a 2 big Germany monster
On carwow it took 30 attempts to launch the m4 without ut wheelspinning for 5 seconds and even when it did the porsche gt3 still won and i would rather be in a car that launches well everytime
@@hitchy0755First of all the M4 won the rolling race in the video you are talking about. Second, there are two videos on carwow where the newest 911 goes against the newest M3 and in both videos the M3 won almost every race + it's 100k cheaper.

Considering the 911 GTS is NOT about straight lane speed, the Porsche is even more impressive. It always feels like Porsche engineers make a bit more out of every hp

The CSL did surprisingly well on the wet with reduced traction. Probably would have won on a dry runway considering the extra power (actually makes close to 600hp on dyno - tested multiple times)
On the track, the GT3 will definitely win but it should be close.

I’ve heard that all these high end cars advertise theirs HP numbers on UAE fuel, thus getting loads more power than quoted on EU/US fuel
The m4 driver had to stop halfway to discuss a new line in dishwashers his company has just brought onto the market, whilst the proper car was long gone....

They had to race the BMW against the GT3 because the Turbo S would absolutely smoke it. The GT3 is a track car, and still ate the BMW up in a drag race.

I own a 991.2 GT3RS & a CSL and absolutely love them both! In a straight line once it gets going the BMW is definitely faster based on my experience. I haven't had the opportunity to drive the new GT3 so I can't speak for it. Love the content please do more of this...!
I assume on a completely dry drag strip the CSL would be faster. Maybe you can post a video of both your cars on a dry day.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you ask somebody how they can afford the cars they own. I mean the obvious answer is, "With money." Are you asking something more specific than that?

Maybe I missed it but did they mention which tires were on the cars? CSL comes with more aggressive tires which would explain a lot if not most of the traction difference.

Autotrader test track looks remarkably familiar but I can’t remember where I’ve seen it before. Great video on this pairing, I find it very interesting as once a generation BMW takes aim at the GT3. Would be interested to see how they compare on a hot lap as well.
My thoughts exactly. Uhm, there was once three very entertaining blokes long long ago. If I'm not mistaken they once (or twice or a couple of times) let a man in a racing suit drive around a track very very similar to this one 🤔

I have to be honest that was a fun drag race...and have to give it to the GT3 that thing is a bullet, it moves!
The Csl actually makes a little over 600hp at the crank. About the rated power, but at the wheels instead of the crank
10.4 in a GT3?? That’s like turbo s number and in wet! I don’t believe it
10.4s in a GT3 is Fake.
992 Turbo-S mit 650 PS geht 10.2s (AutoTopNL).
There's no way that GT3 did a 10.4 with only 500hp and RWD and in damp weather. that's the same time as an Aventador SVJ or McLaren 720, which both have over 200hp more

A 'proper' comparison would be against the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, right? Nürburgring times are 7:09 for the gt4 RS and 7:20 for the m4 CSL.
BMW beats it and the gt3 by real BMW pro driver this all BMW tracktimes are not pushed to Its limit but they pushed Porsche as they can a lot of videos shows that
@@henzo7087 is it true, that the GT3 series racer also sits on the M4 and is using the same motor as the M4 CSL? There might be a lot of left potential for the M4 because of emission limits.

💯 even though I love Porsche, you have to be fair. I find it a bit silly when these UK channels do comparisons and many times they are in the full wet or damp track.

I really enjoy these videos but wish they'd swap runway positions and also swap drivers between cars to give equal comparisons . It's not just this channel Car wow does the same. Still highly entertaining though 👍
Was there actually a difference between 10.5 and 10.4 secs?? I highly doubt it.
Kudos getting that M4 to launch pretty well in the wet... others have had issues getting it to launch in the dry haha

If I could get any full M car it'd be this M4, or the previous gen M2. It's pretty crazy how finicky the launch controls are for BMW though. That beautiful 911 has clean launches all day though
