Having this done next week on Wednesday. Thanks for the description of not feeling too much pain the very next day. I was so afraid of it.

No worries, hope it all goes well for you. I did several other videos showing my progress and the exercises I did. I really didn’t get any real pain in the weeks after surgery. Just a lot of frustration that I couldn’t do much for the first 6 weeks. My big tip is to make sure you do all the rehab you are told to as it makes a huge difference in terms of how quickly you recover and can get back to doing stuff.

I'm about to undergo surgery in 3 weeks and you're a powerful inspiration for me. Thank you. Just wanna say I'm a bit nervous about the the potential pain after the surgery.

Hi, hope it all goes well. I honestly didn’t have any pain after surgery. The numbness I described in my first video post op (from the nerve block was weird but stopped any pain.) I had a bit of trouble sleeping at first but nothing too bad. The worst thing was not really being able to do anything for the first 6 weeks and things like preparing food was awkward. My biggest tip is to make sure you really do all of the physio therapy exercises you are given. It’s a long road back to being fully recovered but it will be so much better if you do the exercises every day. They can be difficult at times and not much fun but they do really help. My shoulder is completely fixed (although slightly reduced range of movement) but it’s got me through two Ironman races in the last two years. Good luck!

Hope it goes well mate. I’m sure you’ll be able to sleep once the nerve block wears off. Let me know if you have any questions.

Emmanuel Nocum hows your shoulder doing now? I saw my surgeon today and can now start to move on to some more advanced exercises which is good news. Still no driving or running for another 3 weeks.

@@ArunsTravels my shoulder is recovering and i can finally notice it on the 6th day. I can start stationary bike and walking activities.
I still wake up like 6 times at night since i get pain on my shoulder. I am guessing it because blood is being rushed there? I have to sit up for the pain to go and then i go back to sleep.
I start PT tomorrow. Can not drive for 3 more weeks. I have to see the surgeon in 4-6 weeks from today. I got 5 anchors and the injury was from 5pm-6pm. He did it very well and showed me all the photographs. Very happy knowing i the procedure went well.

Emmanuel Nocum Glad to hear it’s starting to get better. Sorry to hear pain is still bad but hopefully that will improve soon. Interesting how different surgeons give quite different advice. Mine told me not to drive until 6 weeks which is a pain but he felt driving was high risk in terms of shoulder strain if you need to turn sharply or swerve to avoid something.

Well he still has to clear me to drive. He actually has a website. He said 6 weeks but he told me in 3 weeks should be fine.I see him again on December 4 and he will let me know again then. I start my pt today. I already notice changes in my physique. It’s sad.
I usually hear it’s easy to gain muscle mass and strength once you already had it. I hope it’s the same for cardio.
