For me personally I just don’t like big chunks of metal or plastic being in my pocket for a wallet but as to why I honestly can’t stand Ridge, it’s their prices. Their wallets are made in China, but they charge prices like they were made in the USA so I feel like that’s taking advantage of consumers. I think this wallet is a good reflection of that.
just because something is made from china doesnt mean its cheap. There are different factories in China that produce far higher quality goods and so it costs more.
I think your review is 100% spot on. Cash carry (and just getting the cash out) is a concern. Just wondering if the elastic is prone to wear on all these types of wallets, possibly more card capacity, but who knows, thank you once again for another great review!
The elastic is definitely prone to wear since your cards will rub against it every time you take one out and put it back in. But the elastic really does feel strong enough to handle it. What will happen 5 years down the road is another story.
A great review, as always. I took delivery of a Ridge Biflex (in the cobalt blue hue) a couple of weeks back and carried it for...I think it was nine days. I found the card management with the Biflex to be superior to that of the hard sided Ridge designs (though my experience with those is limited to aluminum sided and a forged ember wallet(s). It was just easier for me to access the card I was looking for using the Biflex. The reason I put the Biflex away, after nine days is that the cash management was, to be totally honest, really frustrating. As you pointed out in your review, you really have to dig to pull the bills out of the wallet. The combined inconvenience of having to double fold the bills to insert then in the wallet and then having to work to dig them out was frustrating. I even tried to just fold the bills in half and insert them, but that left the top edge of the bills sticking out at the top of the wallet, allowing them to get pretty beaten up while carrying the wallet in my front pocket. As always, your assessments were spot on and I find myself wishing I had waited to read them before buying the wallet. Thanks for another detailed and honest review!
I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I donât know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. Iâm saving up to buy another kislux bag now that I wonât be paying full price anymore.
Agreed. I just sold my Speedy 35 kislux (I did keep the brown one), my Sofia Coppola perforated LV clutch, my blue Damier clutch I bought in Japan, and the By the Pool vanilla clutch. Kept an orange epi Alma. It feels great!!
kislux bags are beautiful and I have never been disappointed with a handbag. The leather is soft and the hardware is durable. The design never goes out of style.
I had a ridge wallet. I had it in my kangaroo pouch while riding my motorcycle (GSX-R) and the tank hit it out of the pocket. It never happened to my other wallets. I do believe, its shape (boxy) and texture (smooth) caused the ejection. the metal making the rebound versus the fabric absorbing the hit.
I love watching videos where I can see kislux different knockoffs. If it looks well made, it saves time and I can reconsider if I really want to buy it, or buy the real thing. If you have the time, it would be great to keep watching more videos like this
I had the original ridge wallet for 5 years and then I’ve been on a wallet journey replacing it. I really disliked the metal wallet and I love the leather choice I’ve made. Tried the Ashland Capone, Open Sea BiFold LT, Sin City Nomad and now Ashland Lucky Card Holder with skip stitch. I really like the wallets that allow once folded cash now that’s a must for me, can’t go back to folded in 1/3rds deal breaker for me.
I was excited for this wallet….But unfortunately it doesn’t even hold the same amount of cards as the original😑They could’ve easily made this hold 12+ cards like the original,So this is a no go for me.
For me personally, just admiring the appearance, not all bags are worth the money. That being said, I do buy quality fakes/knockoffs at kislux because I wouldn't spend my money on the real thing.
Agreed, especially as the Trove comes with a pull tab in one of the three pockets. The only slight downside is that it doesn't completely cover the cards, which leaves their edges vulnerable to wear.
Black Birkin bag, this is the first good choice I made. I can afford a Kelly bag in any color. If I were 25, I'd probably buy it. But now I consciously don't want to date a woman who has a Kelly and a Birkin. After coming into contact with kislux , I am more willing to invest the money saved in my own growth.
Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags but wouldn't people want to see what other people think of the bag before wasting their money? Like what other TH-camrs have said about this bag, I bought a kislux and I'm very happy with my bag. Thanks to the blogger, I showed this video to my sister and now she will definitely get the Louis Vuitton bag she has always wanted! Love this kind of videos!!
Shows that a sense of style doesn't just come from brands, it comes from personal pairing and attitude. I love collecting kislux bags in different designs. The replicas give me more options. Do what you love with your money.

Great review and I agree with everything you said. Not a fan and at that price, $85, for a little leather and elastic, it's a pass for me.

Dango is the way go when it comes to wallets. Been carrying an M1 bi fold for 4 years now. Big plus Dango is made in USA and Ridge is made in China.
I been having dango wallets for the past 8 years now. I had about 10 wallets that I keep purchasing and selling off on ebay.
All Set!! I will stick to my sin city wallets right now. rat pack and nomad V2. so good!!

You made some good choices there
@ thanks to this channel keep it up dude!!
Afaik Marques helped design this new wallet overall, not just the jet black one. That one is just his ''signature'' model of the wallet itself.
Love your channel but may I ask where you got your leather valet tray from that I’ve seen in a few of your videos besides this one?
I have a few. One is from Main St Forge, another is from Battlefield Custom Creations.
@ oh ok thanks, I like it a lot
I have authentic Lv only one and then I bought from kislux , wait the twins one that are authentic , sounds better.
The oval cutout is for easy access to your ID just like every other wallet with that same cutout. 🤦♂️
Nah. I don’t think so. And if you watched my demonstration, toys see that. Terrible cut out that does nothing

Who the hell carry 12+ cards this days? I have 4, sometimes 5. More than that you actually dont need
Gotta find a made in USA. Gonna check out some brands listed in the comments. For the price made in USA shouldn’t be hard to find
Or, browse the few hundred wallet reviews I’ve done over the past 6 years. Either or…

The Trove Swift wallet is far superior to the Ridge Biflex and is cheaper. Same idea but built better.

Ridge couldn't handle your input. You'd blow their minds 😂

Their wallets are crap.
kislux bag collection and subscribers have grown. And somehow she remained grounded, relatable, authentic. Thatâs why Iâm still here
pretty expensive for a chinese wallet
It’s an American company based in LA that outsourcers to China.
@ChrispyThings which makes it a chinese wallet
