Shoulda added code 118 in here. I got 1 and love it.
@@goated313 I'll add it to my ongoing list for another part in the series!
You can slide a card in the rail system btw. That's a feature.
Yep, you forgot the father of all minimalistic wallets. Secrid.
Secrid looks like a female wallet
@@ermal6157yeah I agree with that. Just get a Vulkit it's the same thing without the leather.
@@ermal6157bro what
Just added comment about this to the first video. Secrid kicks ass.
Microchip on your hand is the father of the minimalist wallet
Another interesting wallet is from Lockcard. They are a startup based in Germany and their wallet is very interesting. The wallet consists of two cover plates bound by a strap and you can buy modules ( for example a key module ) to fit your needs. Also they document their progress and how everything is made on social media.
I have the Flipside wallet. Although I was apprehensive about ditching my old regular leather, this one has served me well for several years now.
Flipside I had for awhile but was to big lol 😂
It's smaller that what I used the use & it finally shows it's size compared to the newest crop of minimalistic wallets. But hands down I d still take the FlipSide. Flips open easily to access your cards or wallet or cash. Never bothers me when I use it in my front pocket. No matter what I'm doing. Plus the attachments are nice!
Great comparisons here. Now we need see you do the same for small minimalistic leather wallets!
working on it!
I have the Dango M1 Maverick bi fold wallet and I loved it from day 1. The Dtex material they use was awesome at first but after 4 years everyday use it shows signs of wear.
Dango is the most overrated wallet in the market. Far from a "minimilist" shit feels like your carrying a brick in the front pocket.
its not supposed to be minimalist bro. its meant to be able to actually carry cash and other stuff. if you want a minimalist wallet just use a rubber band
@@ermal6157
@@ermal6157 For minimalist, I suggest the Dango Rail System wallet (no Bi-fold style). I carry 8 cards + cash behind the cards and I could barely feel its in my pocket.
I had thought I would go for the fantomx but now i dont know. not sure if i would prefer the groovelife or the ekster more. I want something small, light, and satisfying. regarding the fantom x, how is it when using less than the suggested cards? I usually only carry 4 cards including insurance and id. does it still function well with only 2 or 3 cards?
I think it works great. I actually just took it on a vacation trip, and I only had 4 cards in it. I thought it was perfect.
Enjoyed the video. Glad I found this as when I watched Part 1 earlier today was like "where are Groove sliders!?!?!?" 😁
I have the Ridge, Ekster and Groove. I like how the Ridge will grow or shrink based on the number of cards you need it to hold. However, the Ridge went into a drawer when the cards went flying while trying to pull out the middle of 6 cards. Lucky for me I was at home and not in a store. The Ester trigger feels cheap. It's not as the entire quality feels and looks really good. But the wiggle of the trigger is a turn off. It also does not really fan out the cards the same each time double stacking the middle cards. The Groove slider has been in my pocket since I got it. Unless I am fidgeting with it. Capacity aside, the only complaint is the smooth face is hard to grip and slide without the grip sticker. I have the money clip (instead of the sleeve) and have used it to hold additional cards, hotel room keys, cash, checks, whatever I can fold to about that size. It holds and does not let go.
Beautifully done. I learned a lot about this new generation of wallets. The ability to hold cash is an important factor that is, however, largely overlooked, even disturbing as the authorities look to move us to a cashless society.
💯 agree. I don’t like being tracked in any way😡
Great content and thanks for the breakdown of all these cool wallets!
thanks for watching!
The fact that people try to "Kill Ridge Wallets" with alternatives, shows how great Ridge is. I love mine and have not had a single issue with it for years now. hands down the best wallet I've owned and see no reason to switch to these cheaply made knock offs.
Ridge is definitely a great wallet
I’ve had the Fantom for 5 years and the mechanism still work. Love it
Great to hear! Thank you for your comment!
I'd like to see a demonstration of removing a card from the center of the Ekster wallet. It looks cool how the cards come out in the step pattern, however it seems like I would need to remove the top cards until I get to the card I need to use.
you can push down the cards in front of the card you want. 🙂
Only note I have is that I’m pretty sure that’s the largest dango wallet that they make. I have T07 and it’s very similar in size to the ridge wallet. I thought about upgrading to the adapt but, decided that it was a bit on the big end for my needs
Since you tried these all first hand, which one do you prefer? I would use it for 4-6 cards and cash. Any assistance is appreciated.
Nice video btw
I bought a cheapy ROCO thing. It's 2 plates with 2 different rubber straps (for different card capacity). The plates have an hour glass shape so you can push cards out from either direction. place my ID cards facing out on one side of my stack and debit/credit cards facing out on the other side. I carry 15 items. I can eliminate 3 store loyalty cards as you can just tell them your phone number. I bought it because my 8 year old leather wallet is starting to fall apart and didn't want to drop big money on something, only to find I don't care for the minimalistic approach. So far I kinda miss my old school back pocket leather wallet. But it's only been a week and I've not been shopping anywhere yet. I carry a separate money clip so I don't need that function with one of these things. Of the ones you reviewed, I think the Aviator would fit my needs better, but I'm cheap and $90 for the cheapest one is more than I want to spend. After that the Ekster. As far as tracker and air tag things. I've never once in my over 50 years of carrying a wallet, not known where it was.
I own a couple ridge wallets and trayvax wallets and grip 6 wallets and bellroy wallets but the one I'm using now is the cheapest is the nomatic black card holder its great
Your videos are super good quality! ❤🎉
Thank you so much!!
Just placed an order for Dango D01 Dapper Wallet, thanks for the review!
Also added an AirTag band
Clicked the link you provided in the link, hope it helps ;)
Hope you enjoy it! Thank you!
How do these work with embossed cards
I’m down to Aviator vs Fantom - both superbly functional and well-designed… so which looks the coolest?
Both are great! I think from this list, those two are my favorites as well. I know it's personal taste, but I will tell you my experience. I recently went on a trip to Florida, and I figured I would use an RFID blocking wallet just for peace of mind. I ended up using the Fantom X and I LOVED it. It's such a small package, and the ease of use for getting cards out is intuitive, easy, and even fun. When we came back home, I accidentally left my Fantom wallet in my back pocket of some shorts I threw in the wash. I didn't realize it until I had my clothes in the dryer and heard an awful clanging sound like something heavy was rolling around. I looked inside and my Fantom wallet was just sitting there, damp and warm. When I took it out to survey the damage, not a single scratch or mark was on it. The mechanism worked perfectly, and the only thing I needed to do was air out my cards! Needless to say, this was a defining moment for my experience with Fantom! I'll mention this later on my channel. :)
Very helpful thank you 🙏
Have you checked out the Masverano wallet? Any views?
@@fastboy64 I haven't yet! I'll add it to my list! Thank you!
Another great review!
Thank you!
doesn't matter how many more features they have you can;t beat a life time warranty companied with their quality. Ridge till I die baby.
I have a leather wallet, the design was adapted over centuries, it's perfection ;p
The reason why ridge style wallets don't have a tracker card is because or the materials that they are make of a tracker card won't work because unlike with exster wallet their is no way to attach a card although you can get a dedicated model that can hold an air tag which only works with apple phones
somehow for me this video turned into a tale of how Ridge design is better
for some, it does. And that's okay! I just offer these as alternatives to those who do not like Ridge.
I’ve had the trayvax 2.0 for 3 years and it is by far the best wallet that I have had
I still have the original trayvax from when they started and it works fine still, but also have the contour and element both are just amazing. But at the moment using the rustic heirloom hitchhiker
What do you think about the Amarillo aluminum Wallet?
I’ve used my Swiss Army aluminum RFID minimalist wallet for over a year now and it’s been amazing for me. My wife grabbed it and a pair of Swiss Army gloves from the store on one of our runs into town and their products have been really good. I’m pleased with it at least.
You missed the Trove wallet. I've been through several and Trove is it for me. Smaller & lighter than any of those shown here.
that's a different style of wallet, but I'll definitely look into them for a minimalist wallet idea.
was hoping that the Trayvax Summit is included in this list
I need to try more from Trayvax. I'll look into it. 😁
Hey, my favs: Ekster and Groove Life ;)
Is the Groove LIfe heavy
Please try Vice Hardware F1 wallet, want to know your thoughts on that one.
I'll check it out! Thank you!
Just the fact that there are so many Ridge wallet vs whatever im going to get the Ridge. Because if it sucked so much it wouldnt be the base for comparing it to so many other wallets.
Ridge is an excellent wallet. The video isn't trying to say it's bad, but use it as a baseline to compare other minimalist style wallets. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy your Ridge!
Thanks for the Video. After watching this I am definitely buying a ridge wallet
Secrid goes way beyond these pretenders. I’m glad I learned about their product before I wasted money on the sub par exster
Everything on Earth with moving parts eventually breaks. Any wallet with moving parts is eventually going to break because people drop things.
Awesome selection…and made in USA too. Nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
All of these are really really cool, but look like they'd be bulky, hard and uncomfortable to carry in your front pocket, which is where I carry my current leather card case. None of the reviewers talk about front pocket fit or comfort. Can anyone comment on this please?
I think the ones in this video are tend to be more bulky, but the ones in my first Ridge Killers video are all pretty slim and small, and good for front pocket carry.
Dango is cool, but many of their products are listed as out of stock. I wonder when they will get more made.
Hold on to your first edition Ridges! Great options that are not ridge, but hate to say it, Ridge in the wallet world might turn into rolex form the watch world. The Nike Jordans of shoes, you get what I mean. I had mine since jan 2018, yes screws came out over the years but i banged it up so much and dropped it so many times it took forever to notice the screws were gone. Of course competition exists, to try to overthrow the legend wallet.
Love my ACM wallet. Hope they come back
Leaning toward grip6
If should've did the review on the Contour by Trayvax....
I will look into it, thank you!
And how about wallets for the left-handed? 😁😁
The prices on these card holders are wild.
Well , after your review I do like the Wallet. The only problem I see with it is the fact if you strap cash to it, the cash will block the one side of the cut out. This may or may not bother someone, but I personally don’t like that
i've tried most of these but I keep finding myself going back to my ridge. One I havent't tried is ekster, but they're so ugly to me
I like how ridge is so small and forces me to keep only what I need I just cleaned my wallet out so much usless things
Grip 6 should come with warning it literally launches the cards lost the across the ground so many times
Great video. Ridge was good and I like the size but not practical
Thanks for watching!
Dont see the flipside wallet. Been using that one for years now.
I still need to try that one
Nothing beats the ridge, hands-down the winner
I’ll stick with my Trayvax Element. Great looking functional wallet
Need to check out SCUDO wallets
I think you missed the Flipside
the trayvax contour is the best wallet out there, disappointed to not see it featured
I can always make a Part 3. 😁
definitely ridge's competitor. I only heard solid reviews of this piece of neat gear.
@@philipwillingham5950 dango wallets are pretty good too, but some of them can get pretty bulky
Some of these do not feel like wallets, more like glorified cardholders since they only hold cards no cash, coins or keys (some of them) the ridge type like wallets can.
if you don't carry cash, any wallet is a glorified cardholder.
So 2 that maybe to check out the decadent minimalist and vice wallet
I never got onto the ridge wallet trend bc i refused to pay 50-100 bucks for that when my 12 dollar one ive had for damn near 10 years still works fine
9:16 "You pull the lever on the side and each card fans out perfectly. Each time. Perfect."
Yet as you are making that statement your video shows two card in the middle that are NOT fanned out.
There was some interesting wallets on both of these videos, but none of them look better than the Ridge to me. 🤷♂️
Different strokes for different folks. 🙂 Part 1 had wallets that were closer to Ridge in their design or aesthetic. I think Ridge is a great wallet, so some people will still prefer that one.
Trayvax has always been ahead of ridge wallet no matter what
Best wallet is from “Andar”, hands down
great wallets! I have a video about them coming out in the future.
Westmade Arrow is hands down the best wallet I’ve owned. Does what I want at a minimalist level.
Grip 6 belts and socks. Excellent. The wallet. HUGE. No thanks.
Anything destroys ridge! Don't know why people buy a 100 dollar peice of metal and elastic!!
Yep, especially when Rossm makes the EXACT same product for 3-5x less while offering the same lifetime warranty now. People are getting suckered for their money with Ridge.
Who carries that many cards?
Cool wallets but I wouldn't say ridge 'destroyers'. That's a bit of a reach, especially when every wallet is bigger and the only reason you like it more is it's easier to deploy the cards than the ridge...
Personally I think these are all better than Ridge. But I can't make the title of a video "Wallets that many people might possibly consider moderately better than Ridge"
@@BeastMadeReviews understandable, I mean it did make me click on it after all
@@oliverkloezoph69 thank you for watching! I appreciate your comments.
@@BeastMadeReviews no problem, I like your videos. I guess I was just being pedantic this morning. Keep up with the grind though man, you did actually ear new subscriber that's for sure
@@oliverkloezoph69 thank you!
Fragrance Bros 😂
You forgot the Secrid and Ohsnap
Let me be clear the ridge wallet didn't set the bar for anything
I disagree. It’s popular for a reason.
Hate trigger wallets
These are not wallets. These are card holders.
I just wish Fantom had better colors.
I don't believe these wallets are Ridge killers. They are more like novelty wallets. If you want a bulky wallet, just use a normal wallet 🤷♂️
I disagree. I think they’re all better than Ridge.
Ridge wallet is 2 pieces of metal plate slapped together with an elastic band that is prone to fray and elasticity. Its functional and stylish but it is not top tier design honestly.
People are still struggling to handling cards.. And in India we don't need cards.. Its simple done by UPIs. 😅
Well all are too expensive.
Silly gadgety wallets all.
well yeah, that's the point of the video.
These are not the wallets, wallets hold cash and coins, i wish they would make something like this but add a littel bit space for coins and cash.
They do make that wallet! It's the Aviator Wallet, and it's phenomenal. Video here for more info: th-cam.com/video/-Nk9zPXUAzQ/w-d-xo.html
@@BeastMadeReviews not very convincing, still as it may can hold SOME coins, am type of person which after spending cash i get coins and just dont use them and overtime they stack on me, so idk, aviator seems nice but still i need a littel bit bigger for a littel bit more coins, i dont believe those trays hold that much.
althought i really like the design.
@@matas_1 I think they have a double-width coin slot option for their wallets
@@BeastMadeReviews can u link? 😄
@@matas_1 sovrn.co/172o72k this link should take you to the wallet. They have different colors and options. In the drop-down menu, they have a double coin tray option.
Dango Wallets are the top of the line.
hah funny, this is only party of American's subpar copys of the original.
None of those wallets are even close to as good as The Ridge. Grasping at straws there, dude.
I disagree. I think they're better than Ridge. Ridge is a great wallet, and if you prefer that, more power to ya.
Meh. I have a vulkit minimalist wallet where you push out cards quick and easy. All these new wallets I've seen so far are all gimmicky only a few are good for certain needs if you're not a minimalist. I just need a minimalist wallet that can hold back up keys.
Ridge wallet sucks... only good for holding cards....
Confused… are you advertising for ridge or against ridge? I think you lost the plot my dude. All the wallets you showed are bigger than ridge.. whole point of ridge is to be smaller than anything else and comfortable. You just made their case for them lol, so if that’s the goal you nailed it
Ridge is a good wallet. Some will prefer that. I think these are better. Did you watch part one before this video? Because part one answers your objection before you even wrote it.
How are some of these wallets RFID proof if a majority of the design is open and not enclosed?
You called ekster "extra" in video timeline
Was it the timestamps? If it was, that was automatically added by TH-cam. I usually try to add them manually, but I've forgotten on a few recent videos and just never changed it.
@@BeastMadeReviews yeah 👍
