      thanks for that list of useful videos - might need that new player tips video again soon, that had some great tips in it if I remember correcly
      been holding off on the game for now cause my pc cannot handle the game as it is but hearing how matchmaking times are I might just get it on my switch (sadly only a lite tho, but I guess it will run okay, as the games did before as well back in the psp days)
      sorry if this comment is all over the place I rarely do comment but I thought I'd share a bit seeing how you asked for it so nicely and I've not commented on the other MH videos I watched while playing other games so far.
      keep up the good work, it doesn't go unappreciated

    Congrats for hammering in the FACT that graphics don't mean much if there isn't substance (or in this case player base). Though here's hoping to a future where all games can/will be cross platform so that people aren't fragmented by the hardware they choose or can afford to play on.

    Switch doesn't only have the most active community, but in my opinion the community is also far nicer. The majority of players I've come across are great whereas the PC community tends to be more toxic. On PC I've been kicked multiple times for not dealing enough DPS.... IN HIGH RANK.

    • @BluntyTV
      @BluntyTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

  • @Alacod19

    I think it's fine which ever platform you like go for it but this logic don't really add up MH is not a mmo or live service game it's content on console is finite so a "healthy player base" is less important or I should say, reason to choose one over the other. Most people will play solo or within their already established small circle of friends, even still the surge of players on both platforms will be more than enough to carry it through it's content release. PC doesn't just stop at better visuals and fps there is mod support which can extend a games appeal far past it's content releases MH:W is proof of this.
    The only reason I can see a plus over getting it on switch over PC (outside of hardware availability and or personal preference) is portability. If you are just chilling at home playing and have access to PC then get it for PC both will have strong communities come Sunbreak. I just started playing A month ago haven't had any multiplayer bottlenecks and mod support is booming (if you into that kind of thing).

    The answer is simple.
    Did you play Rise on Switch at launch? Then you have no choice but to play on Switch for Sunbreak, UNLESS you want to do everything over again.
    I have 200 hours on Switch, I'd love to play through PC on my shield TV/Moonlight app. But I'm not restarting.

      I don't think it's that simple for everyone. For me I just love the series so much there was no way i was waiting for a pc release to dive in. Soon as pc version dropped I switched over and if was a tough grind to do it all over again I'll admit...absolutely horrible haha. But like the video says towards the end (just grinding for sets) I was frustrated with the lack of joinable hunts. I went back to the switch and it was success every time so I'm like hmmm....maybe I will stay switch for sunbreak.

    If you base it solely on health of the playerbase then I can tell you that it's a hasty decision.
    Rise on PC in general didn't perform very well solely BECAUSE everyone already experienced the game, be it themselves or watching streams etc.
    Many even decided to opt out from the game because Rise wasn't what they hoped it would be.
    Sunbreak coming out, while it is still too soon to make any decisions I do believe in general it will be a better game than base Rise and as such you will have just as healthy playerbase on PC.
    On top of this there might be executive decisions made now that Sunbreak isn't solely on Nintendo's pocket to decide.
    For example the lobby restriction to only 4 players is specifically a Nintendo limitation. And we have seen that Capcom can actually make drastic lobby changes depending on demand.
    For example on the Nintendo Wii lobbies in Japan were 8 players, and were limited to 4 players on the western release simply because people wanted WiiChat enabled on the lobby.
    Now can I say for a fact that they would make Sunbreak lobbies 16players on PC and 4 players on Switch. No. It would be a big punch in the face for Switch players.
    But at the same time it is something that isn't in Capcom's pocket to decide and they might make other executive decisions that favor either or platform.
    So it's still really hasty to make a decision now imo. I would even wait for the actual release if I had both platforms available to me.

    • @BluntyTV
      @BluntyTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Manual lobbies are not the issue. Pretty sure I made that EXTREMELY clear. And what's your source for Nintendo being responsible for the 4 player lobby in rise? I'd LOVE a source on that, it's new to me.
