  • we use watches for several reasons like to see time and date. But nowadays we use watches for several reasons most used for passion. But when the battery gets down we feel dangerous because we do not know how to replace the battery. Sometimes when trying to replace the battery we destroy our watch uncharily. To solve this kind of problem I make this video. if anyone sees this he can change the battery very easily and he can use his watch properly. Many thanks for the video! Same on the PAG-40 and most likely some other types too. Pretty easy maintenance task. A few tips:
-Be careful not to overtighten the screws, I managed to destroy the threads of two of them...
-Make sure to connect the AC (4 recessed metal dots, mine are golden, can also be silver) with the + pole of a battery to make the display light up as mentioned in other comments. You can use anything conductive I think, I didn't have tiny tip tweezers so I used a paper clip.
-The batteries can be a bit tricky to find as they have a lot of different codes (all for the same thing) they can be listed as, here's a list (may not be complete): 395, 399, G7, AG7, LR57, LR927, SB-AP, SR927W, SR57, 280-44, 280-48. Also make sure they are 1,55V silver oxide batteries!

@@ciolobmw you're welcome, haha I don't know much about it all, I just thought I would share my experience and summarise the stuff I learned while planning and doing the battery swap, maybe it will make someone's job easier. Have a great day friend!

One thing that I noticed ( which is CRUCIAL ) you must use tweezers to make the AC contact, or you will not get a display. Other than that, this helps very much, thank you 😊

What do you mean by the AC contact and tweezers? I put my new batteries in and no display!

@Goyahkla100 Sorry I didn't get back sooner I just saw your question. O.K., so, there are "four" batteries. Directly across from the two center batteries you should see two recessed silver contacts. Use tweezers (or a paper clip) to make a complete connection from one of the contacts to the other ( tweezers are easier to use ). Anyway, once you've made a complete connection your display should " re appear ", and then you can set up your watch.

which of the two silver recessed contacts should be used ?

@Goyahkla100 You may have already figured this out, but ( if not ), when you have the back off of the watch you see the " four battery bay's, to the left of them you will see four exposed contact area's, put one side of the tweezer into the " port " that has four tiny gold contacts, and the other side of the tweezer into the port directly below it. It should now illuminate the face. If not, there may be a different problem with the watch. Also, it's O.K. if you should " accidentally " touch a wrong port ( it won't hurt the watch ), atleast it didn't hurt mine. Sorry for any confusion, you should be good to go now. Good luck 👍
