we visit Zihua at least 3/4 times a year and we always walk out of the airport to get a taxi, its cheaper than getting a taxi inside and they are very reliable

Hey guys! great idea to talk about transportation services from the airport and to the airport. I hope you don't mind to made an addition. I just arrived last Saturday and I paid $580 pesos ( no tip included) to La Ropa (Los Mangos) for a private taxi. A two weeks ago I paid $450 (no tip included) pesos to the airport from Los Mangos. I asked at the airport for the colectivo airport to Zihua and it is $200 pesos, but you have to wait until they have enough people. For the van is $1,200 pesos to Zihua but I'm not sure up to how many persons. Buen dia!

Good info. I looked it up and the collectivo was 135 pesos each last time we used it, but it's been 3 years or so. I"m sure the taxis will be 600 pesos by next high season, and the combi will be 20 or 21. Hopefully the dollar will strengthen up a bit!

Hey! Thank you. I'm taking my daughter down for her first surftrip/vacation for graduation in 3 days. Are there buses that run to central from the airport?

How much more are you at risk for home invasion in Zihua than a typical US city of the same size Matt? Just wondering because there's an awful lot of security people put on their homes.

I think with some security the risks are very low. I believe that most crimes like theft of property are crimes of opportunity, and unfortunately they have a low conviction rate. We have a lot of security measures, but we also feel very safe here.

@@MexicoMattandAli But do you only feel safe because of the bars on the windows and the cameras and all of the rest of it?
Would you feel safe with out it?
I guess what I'm getting at is in the US usually such measures are not needed unless you live in the ghetto of a large city.
I just find it odd you'd have to go to such extremes to feel safe if zihua was a safe city.
