We would agree with your thoughts... We spent the month of May there North of Zihuatanejo and spent two nights down the street from your present project. We where very comfortable with all there.. We may be back for longer visit soon after we check out another country.

Thanks for sharing your story. I’m considering Zihuatanejo for my next slow travel spot. Looking for a not too touristy place. Currently in Playa… love the beaches but a bit more touristy than I prefer.
It's pretty busy here right now, but nothing compared to the major tourist and expat cities!

We are in the process of selling our home in the Chapala area. We are interested in finding a property (house) with about at least a half to 1-acre for our dogs and a few chickens . Where would be the best and safest area ?
Zihua is really safe. Spend some time on the ground visiting the different parts of town and you'll find the place that feels most comfortable.

@Prosolar Hawaii Ixtapan is near zihuatanejo and there is a place called Morrocoy i rented a cheap condo for $200 u s all furnished and with security gates " i went to security entrance and they know people who rent on monthly payments the ground s are clean and freindly people "

No idea, but in Mexico anything is possible! If you are a resident or citizen I'm sure it's easier.
