Hard to believe anyone would sell their Boss once they get one. Good for you fever for finding one. Enjoy :-) I was fortunate in 17 to get a 13 PW. It's staying in my stable :-)
I own a laguna seca.calling it an made in the USA vehicle is a joke. More than 50 percent of the car are parts that are imported. Chinese transmission and rims.hell I haven't driven my car for two years as this imported piece of junk waits for replacement airbags instead of the Japanese crap in it that can kill you. By crap I mean it literally, they,FORD allowed fertilizer to be the propellant to inflate your airbags. It's also classified as an unstable explosive but why should ford care so they continued to use this takata product for years after original recall started. I'm glad car is fast and can hade corners, to bad ford doesn't fix it so I can drive it. Have owned a dozen fords and would never own another car from this company that doesn't give a dam about anything but taking your money made in the USA is dead, all they can claim is assembled here and they suck at that to. Pathetic company. Retired auto worker. Dave
love the video i own a silver and red 2012 boss 302 laguna seca and wish i could meet all the ladies and gentelmen that had anything to do with the design and production of this car #349 it is a blast to drive i am so glad i bought it. thankyou ford and everybody that built it
The government's not involved, the mt-82 is made in china because the company ford sources them from makes them there. It's a global economy, so most manufactures work with other companies across the globe to get a car into production.
not all of the parts in the transmission is made in mexico some of them are assemble their but mainly they are assembled in usa, either way its 80 % is made here
Same here, hopefully ford will get over the initial cost of moving to the use of U.S.-made mustang transmissions by the 2015 model year, cause in the long run everyone wins.
This is a nice car but the aussie ford falcons and commodores absolutely wreck this lol. For you people who dont know what im talking about look up 'fpv 335 GT'. Now thats a car. 335 refers to 335rwkw. Cmon americans go harder!
Hate to break it to you, but no, they won't. You're talking full size sedans vs. mid-size sport coups, using similar engines, making similar figures. At that point, physics take over.
i just want to say thanks to the designers engineers and employees at ford motor company for building this awesome car it should go down as one of great cars of all time really cool
Not sure about the "As close you're gonna get to a race car with a licence plate" quote! How about a road legal Lotus 2-Eleven....Lets compare the lap times (at Laguna Seca): Boss 302LS 1:39 (driven by a pro) Lotus 1:34 (driven by a Jo)
SHINODA NAMED IT THE BOSS. BECAUSE IN JAPAN WHEN THE NAME OF THE BOSS WAS MENTIONED. EVERYBODY WAS AFRAID AND ON THEIR FEET. THE BOSS WAS WHO EVERYBODY FEARED.
Nice try, the 2-Eleven also weighs about 1900 pounds less, and lacks even the most basic features, found In most production cars. Buying that thing is like getting half a car.
Still has a 2 piece driveshaft, a Chinese transmission and Chinese rims. I was sorta thrown back when I took off my rims and saw the word "China" embossed on the inside of the rim.
SS Camaro uses the same trans as a GT500 you 'tard MT82 is made in Nanchang China, and is designed by chinese engineers in china. Getrag used to be a German company but has been owned by the britts for a while now. Who exactly is praising MT82 with it nylon(pantyhose) shifting fork contacts. Thats close to a V6 Camaro in power handling. NHTSA opens investigation into MT82, 1 in 32 Mustang GT goes back to dealer with trans problems under 15K miles, without any modding
Incredible. I finally own my own Boss 302 now. Nothing can describe the driving experience.
2013 Laguna Seca, School Bus Yellow. #701

All those machines are why we can't buy this beautiful car, they took our jobs away!
we need to use American people to make American cars whats with the Japanese machines?

That wasnt i boss that he started that was a gt500 because i saw SVT badges on the car
he never claimed it was, he just said its the first time THAT car has been started, he didnt say anything about it being a boss.
It is amazing car. I have a 2012 boss 302. Just nasty.
love the video i own a silver and red 2012 boss 302 laguna seca and wish i could meet all the ladies and gentelmen that had anything to do with the design and production of this car #349 it is a blast to drive i am so glad i bought it. thankyou ford and everybody that built it
The real boss was in 1969. This is just the son that took over when the father retired.

Really, so the person is saying that this is a better racing car than a buggatti veyron, or any other super car
everybody shits on american made cars but remember its better for the economy and american jobs
and after start up? That's it, its off to the dealer to fix any issues that it may have.
Yea but don't forget: The GTO a judge and Corvette a King. King Judge Boss. Nuff said.
as long as the make good safe product for us i guess thats what counts.
i saw on the sticker price that the transmission is made in mexico
i hope you know that was a gt500 that u started up not a boss.
that guy is in a gt500 not a boss 302 lol
@stangnick really now?
look at my channel i have many carvideos (ford mustang,Ford bronco,..... exhaust sound files; WRC and many more:)
lol he started up a shelby...
it has a cobra on the side..
Same here, hopefully ford will get over the initial cost of moving to the use of U.S.-made mustang transmissions by the 2015 model year, cause in the long run everyone wins.

Muito bom. :D
Lol its a cobra.........
LooooL
How long has dodge been using this Transmission?
And why did you post something about dodge on a Ford video?

@5:40 the Kona Blue Mustang he is starting for the first time is clearly a GT500. See the Cobra badge on the fender and SVT door sill.
this is so bad ass
Better than jaguar
The British "know-it-all" Top Gear hosts need to test this car and leave their precious m3 at the door.
Ford was not the first out of the "metaphoric" gate as you report. It was Plymouth, in fact, with the first pony car called Barracuda.
Nice try, the 2-Eleven also weighs about 1900 pounds less, and lacks even the most basic features, found In most production cars. Buying that thing is like getting half a car.
thanks dude, you know a lot more than I do. I hope they figure out the transmission problem soon cause those are nice cars
Don't get me wrong I love the Boss 302 but its no race car...5 litre V8 muscle beaten by 1.8 litres and 4 cylinders.
I would love to take a tour of that place some day. I could stand there for hours just to watch how the whole car is built. Its absolutely amazing.
Alot of the parts in my 2010 mustang are actually from china. So not really "made in america"
I'll just stick to my 5-speed manual in my 1985 5.0 foxbody. She's a real beauty lol
the blue one he did for a first start up, at 5:40 is a gt500
Yeah the Lotus costs $125,000 and the Boss costs $40,000 but hey that doesn't matter.
Yep i sure the Boss 302 does not have Cobra Badges on it lol
how much faster would a 2012 boss be then a 2013 gt?
@joeyy17 the ford falcon is alright its basically the same
now that would be one bad ass ride
i would love to work in one of those assembly line
I want a boss 302 in a mustang GT body
really? a gt500? ahah you're funny.
i like this sound!!
@1:39 Go home gray Mustang you're drunk.
Not worth 44K....10min car :P
wow!! i want to work there!!!
That was awesome thanks for posting.
Still has a 2 piece driveshaft, a Chinese transmission and Chinese rims. I was sorta thrown back when I took off my rims and saw the word "China" embossed on the inside of the rim.
Scotty N the mt 82 is a German engineered and assembled in China.
i love this sound!!)
Sounds like a good plan.
His transmission shifts and his engine is holding together - more than I can say for my loaded 2012 5.0.
What happened to yours?
la megafabrica de ford mustang
fooooooooooooord
Right on aaron!!!!
A great car!
1:49 Laguna Seca ;D
but the machine that build the mustang is komatsu, it is japanese.
This is a fact
And a shame.
