So for FF6 rages, wouldn't you be limited to Gau (and by extension Gogo) and that could be problematic in areas where you have to split your party (Kefka's Tower primarily). I'd probably say it's ok to use a specific character that you cast Berserk (allowing Umaro for endgame) on themselves (since anyone can learn it, I'd suggest Locke and Celes) but limit shenanigans like 8x attacks not allowed. Final party I suppose would have to be Gau, Gogo, and Umaro all taking on the tower + Kefka in single man parties (which is possible if they are grinded up because some of Gau's rages are particularly strong and Umaro with haste should be plenty strong enough). I limited myself to 3 characters once and if they are sufficiently leveled it's really not too bad to finish off the game, but being uncontrollable would really necessitate using the proper Gau rages. Mog might be an option as well if he only dances, I guess. FF6 autobattler challenge.
Back row + sadness is what FF7 low level runs live on from what I understand. I used that strategy to get Beta from the big scary swamp snek as soon as possible the last time I played.
I was expecting to see you using ???? a lot more before this started but then again you still steam rolled it after getting beta so it makes sense. I think if I do this I’d do attack only until I have the enemy skill materia without modding it in. That way you don’t have to do that level grind just to get through those early bosses and you can learn beta not long after.
you mentioned not being able to restore your MP untill you get the highwind, However, assuming you went fourth to do the Wutai side quest before the highwind. you can get the magic hammer Enemy skill. Which steals mp
Love the videos, they're always fun to watch. Some suggestions if you ever wanted to play them; FF9 - No Gil spending (including hot&cold, auction house etc) which is pretty chilled as a playthrough. FF12 ZA - Only bare hands (no magic, damaging items except maybe knots of rust, tekniks that aren't magical such as numerology and horology are allowed due to flying enemies) which isn't terrible to play through. FF 10 - Only auto abilities such as counter (can be done without steal but would probably be more difficult and you'd have to mod in a counter weapon/auto potion armour) from the start. I'm sure you already have a huge list of videos you already have though. Keep up the great content!
I've done this before. Even beat Ruby. Also maybe try Initial equipment and no materia except ES/Manipulate. Its still extremely doable and really not that hard Also the star of ES only runs is ???.
I feel like this run gets really trivial once you get Cait Sith... aside from maybe a handful of attacks. It's difficult to heal your characters with white wind after supernova for instance.
As far as Roth-Goth's Supernova skill, the whole 2-minute animation was added in for International releases, the original animation being much shorter and a fair bit weaker. According to some sources, the attack is simply a powerful illusion (and considering the attack can't even kill people, being an over-glorified Demi3 Spell...)
Dude, couldnt you have made things easier for yourself in midgar by giving matra magic to Aerith, being the best magic user at that point? Cheers for the videos mate 🤙
I'd personally put a few addendums to this challenge: 1. Put Chokobuckle on the initial Enemy Skill Materia. 2. A softcap on Chokobuckle. 300 Damage for Midgar. 1000 for the rest of disc 1. 2000 for disc 2. 3000 for disc 3 3. No items in battle. No exceptions. You only get 1 Chocobuckle.
@@calemr true but the enemy skills you can get make up for it. (Protect and Shell for all team members, full heal plus removal of negative states, auto revive, magic restoration, powerful abilities, plus other skills)
FF7 but you can only use each type of Materia in one battle. So you can't use Bolt again after Guard Scorpion, then if you equip Fire for Air Buster you can't use it again.
This should be fun. The only torturous part would be the learning process Other than that, just get magic Hammer, Beta, and Shadow flare. Wash, since, repeat
Ok the Reno fight was hilarious. 10/10 luck. Like me Dragon agrees Tifa is over rated. Went about as I expected. Well done, a bit more grind then i thought though.
In FF5, could you try a Blue Magic Only challenge run please? I do quite enjoy these challenge run videos~ ^^ Edit: I'm told bosses can be mathed to death w/ Dark Spark, LV5 Death, and LV2 Old. Let's not be using those 3 blue magics in particular~ ^^ >;D
Its way to easy man. Nearly every single boss can be mathed to death with dark spark, level 5 death, and level 2 old. In a four job fiesta the blue mage is considered to be a god/s tier class as getting it basically guarentees the triple crown regardless of whatever you roll. will be pretty easy and omega weapon and shinryu are instantly beatable. 1 crown is credits 2 crowns is credits + 1 superboss 3 crowns is credits + both superbosses
@@alexsklavenitis302 How about no LV?-status skills in particular, and no Dark Spark? Anything else in the Blue Mages toolkit that's too good too early too cheesy, that if use of is allowed; renders the rest of the otherwise-decent Blue Magic moot, and therefore wouldn't really result in a showcase of the variety of the Blue Magic toolkit?
@RadiantDarkBlaze that could be fun. Lots of unique strats even if you just remove dark spark/lv 5 death and old. Leave in level 3 flare, and gravity cause it would only work on mobs that are already that level. Cool things like goblin punch doing 8x damage to mobs of the same level. Actually using aero, vampire, snapping rods. I still imagine it would be pretty easy but i've personally beat the whole game with just freelancers at this point. I wish i could play a four job fiesta blind again but those days are gone :(

Magic hammer saved my @ss against carry armor when I was a kid. That thing killed me so many times, I think I was only around level 35 and mostly relied on summons to beat bosses. Not a great strategy 😅
About Carry armor even at lv 60 with 9999 HP 999 MP I'll NEVER fight it UNLESS you use Knights of the round on IT making magic hammer completely worthless. But Trine/Magic breath won't actually DO 9999 to it per use AT lv 60+.

I personally abused the hell out of it in the similar challenge run.
Oh well...
The Supernova attack from Safer Sephiroth is basiccally a Genjutsu attack like wht you might see happening in Naruto.
Kinda surprised you didn't go get Goblin Punch as soon as possible, just for a free attack
On disc 2 Goblin Punch is pure CRAP in this one.
@@veghesther3204 Ah gotcha. I wasn't sure damage wise how it compared, just knew it was free to cast
Love the videos, they're always fun to watch.
Some suggestions if you ever wanted to play them;
FF9 - No Gil spending (including hot&cold, auction house etc) which is pretty chilled as a playthrough.
That ff12 challenge would be a go
I've done this before. Even beat Ruby. Also maybe try Initial equipment and no materia except ES/Manipulate. Its still extremely doable and really not that hard
Also the star of ES only runs is ???.
Other sources say it's teleportation magic. That Sephiroth sends the part to a far off space and time
Dude, couldnt you have made things easier for yourself in midgar by giving matra magic to Aerith, being the best magic user at that point?
Cheers for the videos mate 🤙
actually depending on levels, shes not always the best
I'd personally put a few addendums to this challenge:
1. Put Chokobuckle on the initial Enemy Skill Materia.
2. A softcap on Chokobuckle. 300 Damage for Midgar. 1000 for the rest of disc 1. 2000 for disc 2. 3000 for disc 3
3. No items in battle. No exceptions. You only get 1 Chocobuckle.
Yes, that's how you do LLNIIENACMO challenges
I can't figure out what NACMO stands for.
@@velvetbutterfly No Accessories, Command Materia Only
Could you mod an all Tonberry run?
Low damage Karma at first but devestating at the end?
Or an all cactuar run if you feel blessed by RNjesus
I see enemy skill in FF I watch :)
Bahahaha. This mf said 'onlyflans' man thats fkng excellent
This pud’s for you, prince!
Im sure you could. Because that materia is broken. Big Guard, Magic Hammer, Angel Whisper, White Wind, etc.
And yet, since it doesn't work with most blue materia, it's far Less broken than a lot of other materia can be.
@@calemr true but the enemy skills you can get make up for it. (Protect and Shell for all team members, full heal plus removal of negative states, auto revive, magic restoration, powerful abilities, plus other skills)
Primal, you truly are the master beta
thank you, i do try to be
Enemy Skill materia walked so Quistis and Quina could run.
you should do a Vincent only limit break whenever possible
Would obviously take some modding - but would be cool to see you try this on FFIX only using Quina’s blu magic
FF7 but you can only use each type of Materia in one battle. So you can't use Bolt again after Guard Scorpion, then if you equip Fire for Air Buster you can't use it again.
yes i have u need magic hammer white wind and 1 decent 1 trine is best for the MP cost
1 more tip for beta also put her on the back row and dont attack zolom with her that way the zolom wont flip you away
This should be fun. The only torturous part would be the learning process
Other than that, just get magic Hammer, Beta, and Shadow flare.
Wash, since, repeat
If the motorcycles are the worst mini-game the snowboarding must be classified as something else... perhaps inhuman torture?
Ok the Reno fight was hilarious. 10/10 luck.
Like me Dragon agrees Tifa is over rated.
Went about as I expected. Well done, a bit more grind then i thought though.
In FF5, could you try a Blue Magic Only challenge run please? I do quite enjoy these challenge run videos~ ^^
Edit: I'm told bosses can be mathed to death w/ Dark Spark, LV5 Death, and LV2 Old.
1 crown is credits
2 crowns is credits + 1 superboss
3 crowns is credits + both superbosses
I wish i could play a four job fiesta blind again but those days are gone :(
2nd time watching whole way through, good show
Im currently doing a modded run with a solo character mod on new threat 2.0. it's kicking my ass... give it a try
If anyone can do this challenge then its you Primal... your the best 🎉😁
Should do a bravely default 1 no exp run next.
Merry Christmas all.
How did you got the first enemy Skill materia in sector 5
I'm surprised how little you used Magic Hammer in this run! It's so useful when you need an MP boost!
Great challenge mate, I loved this!
cant actually get it until after the highwind and by then i had enough mp for most stuff
You'd most likely have to do the whole Wutai sidequest but pretty sure you can get it once you have the Tiny Bronco. Pretty sure you can learn it from the weed looking mobs around Wutai.@@Primalliquid92
@Primalliquid92 I usually get it as part of the Yuffie side quest with the enemies outside Wutai on Disc 1 but I appreciate you didn't recruit
Very nice challenge
FF9, skills only. Grace until you rescue Vivi and Steiner. If a Vivi solo run is possible (+ Ozma) then that should be easy!
Big dog, have you had a go at bg3?
Thanks Primal.
