The barrel will be extremely useful for calligraphy because without it the calligraphy brushes have never worked well due to not being able to keep a stub facing the right way with your hand. I have an M1 iPad Pro and considering upgrading for the hover, squeeze button, barrel roll. I’ve always had double tap turned off because it just does not work well for me on the Pencil 2nd gen. Maybe it works better with the new Pencil Pro having ai. Ai should be able to help prevent unintended taps. I hope the squeeze button works well on the new pencil to make it worthwhile but if it has difficulty and registers false presses that will be a bummer.
when i squeeze my apple pencil pro in goodnotes 5, it only shows the undo redo stuff, not the tools, but it works in notes. Is it because only good notes 6 supports that feature? or is it because I need to update my goodnotes?
I wanna know how to use this squeeze feature too. It’s Would be grateful for someone that answer this question.
@@Leo-mx5jd I already know this question. You have to upgrade it to Goodnotes 6 and you will use the feature.
I think it’s only available in goodnotes 6 because it worked when I upgraded
@@ohhsten Absolutely yes. Cause I use free trial version of Goodnotes 6 and it can use every feature that I suggest it can’t use before.

If you are getting it to be able to track if you lose it, just know you can’t track it like you can with headphones. It just shows where it was last connected.

Hi, I use apple pencil pro and good notes. When i squeeze the pencil it’s only shown undo and redo option. There is no pallete option. Do yo know what happen ? Is there anyrhing i should setting first dor good notes ? As with apple notes it works.
Hi so In settings search apple pencil and it should give you the option to change what shows up when you squeeze the apple pencil pro ❤
@@May-4038 I did this, I switched the squeeze setting to "show color palette", however nothing comes up in Goodnotes when I squeeze it. When it is on "show tool palette" the undo button shows up though. I'm not sure what the problem is. It's the newest ipad air, and goodnotes is updated to 6. If anyone else had this problem and fixed it, please help!
@@briannalee980 ah I see I am also experiencing this problem and I believe that the color pallet and erase does not show up when you squeeze because it is only made for the drawing app that came with the iPad which is called "freeform" so yes the apple pencil only has one squeeze feature outside of freeform, to which there is nothing really you can do to fix it, (the one feature when you squeeze that is available outside freeform is to switch between tools tho *sorry if this was a little complicated c:*

@@edavatansever7935 Yes, I realized that I bought Goodnotes 5 a long time ago, and you have to purchase Goodnotes 6 to have the squeeze feature in the app. I thought it "updated" by itself, but you still have to pay for the updated version to get all the features.

It happens to me a lot with scribble that it writes something else or the pencil doesn’t do what I want right away do you know how to do it more efficiently ?
