Torcendo muito pra família Drago, apesar de saber q ele não ia vencer a luta... Mas o abraço entre eles depois q o Ivan joga a toalha... Pqp, q cena!!!! Preciso de um filme da família Drago!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ikr. Man, this gave me chills watching. What’s interesting is that you wouldn't imagine this type of entrance for the antagonist, as its reserved for the protagonist during their triumphant climax at the end of the movie. Goes to show how C2 was about people just doing things for the sake of their loved ones.
@@plumpstery5199 Viktor even wore the same colors. White with red. And a red and yellow robe. (Rocky's robe was red and yellow with a meat sign on the back).
This is the first movie in the franchise where we got to see the ‘villain’ entrance from his point of view. It wasn’t a big reveal since this was partially ‘his’ story as well
Don't get me wrong, I admire Creed, but I gotta give the due respect to Drago. He came outta nothing, trained like hell, raised his ground and fought not only for his country, but his father. Just like Creed, he's a real fighter.
I always thought that Creed and Drago completely contrasted each other. Creed was angry and ashamed of who his dad was in the first film. Wouldn't use his name. Shadow boxed against Apollo to old fights. He basically had to be forced to accept that he was a Creed. Whereas Drago was all about doing whatever he could to win back his father's lost honor.
I love that right as he enters Viktor looks nervous and uncertain, almost overwhelmed. Like his father in Las Vegas though for different reasons. Ivan's was a mixture of confusion and disgust because he felt the display was overdone and propagandist. Viktor's is more of fear about being in his father's home country mentally saying "I hope I don't disappoint them or Papa."
I loved how this movie captures the humanity of every character where you don't necessarily like or hate anybody. Viktor Drago was not a bad man. Imagine growing up where your life is boxing because you don't have a choice. The father lives his dream through his son. Imagine all that knowing your own Mom left you and your Dad simply because he lost a fight. And when you want to forgive her, she walks away again during your boxing match when you start to lose but shows up when you win. Viktor just wanted to win like everybody else. And he wanted a Mom that would actually be there for him. He fought with honor.
And the heavy, unwanted burden of fighting the son whose father was killed by his own father. I’m sure Viktor would have preferred to fight anyone but Adonis to win, but destiny had other plans.
You can also see the contrast between Ivan and Viktor. Ivan was like a well oiled machine, stronger than anyone and trained with the most advanced training system (don’t forget steroids). Viktor is a warrior who spent his entire life in hard ship and honing his skills as a boxer not taking any short cuts, he climbed the ladder the hard way
If you haven't seen this in movie theatres, you MISSED OUT!!! This felt GODLY on the SilverScreens. Just amazing!!!! And the Surround sound was perfect.
Drago’s story was sad yet defiant, like this score. He was a brutal underdog and not a bad person, just unfortunate circumstances. His lonely hunger can be felt with the vocals and his quiet strength with the swell of the orchestra and the drums.
I like how both intros in the final match reflect Adonis and Viktor state of mind coming into the match. Viktor was fired up to fight in front of his home crowd while being sure of winnig given how the first match went. Meanwhile, Adonis came in to this fight brooding and determined to win.
Drago ain't no villian, he did and he became what his father told him to be , he was being emotionally black mailed everytime by his father by saying "this is why she left us " . In the end he got his dad's love ,that is most important.
This entrance is just dope. And the way how the romanian (Florian Munteanu) boxer made this character is just splendid. 🔥🔥 Way better than the 1st Creed movie for sure and the story was great. But this entrance made the whole movie🥊🥊🧨🧨
I loved drago in this movie. You can feel he is not a bad person. He just wants to make his dad happy and proud and prove to his mother that they did not deserve to be abandoned by her. In the end you were rooting for viktor as much as you did for creed
This is the theme of man fighting for more than a title, he's fighting for redemption. His name means nothing, his father was disgraced by his own people. His mother left them behind. He has nothing but this fight to look forward to in order to restore honor to his name, this is Viktor Drago....
I like to think that the reason why they showed Drago's entrance intimately like this (from the very beginning and camera behind him as he walks out, as opposed to Conlan in the first movie just walking out) is because both Victor and Ivan are just as much as the main characters in this movie as Rocky and Creed are.
Nowhere near the adrenaline pumping music score of Drago Sr theme when he ringwalked in for Rocky 4. That music sounded like a ferocious dragon breathing hard. It was mesmerizing and arresting. Amazing memories. 🥊
Bobby Rascal when they layer multiple video clips together. It's an old technology, just looks weird in this shot after seeing the behind the scenes with all the blue and green screens.
At 0:47 , that look in his eyes , that's the emotion of innocent person who want to achieve something & worked hard for it & after that at 0:57 to 0:59 that's look of confidence & achievement after success .
Idk about scary. Definitely intimidating but more on the sympathetic side for Viktor who sacrificed a lot to be in his position but all he wants is his father’s love. Scariest entrance would have to go to either Pretty Ricky Conlan or Ivan Drago himself
One thing about the Creed series is that there really hasn't been a clear cut bad guy in my opinion. Ricky, Viktor, and Damon all have likeable qualities and reasons for fighting Adonis.
The movie makes it seem like the ring is a mile from the curtain like Wrestlemania 8, but a quick jaunt through the flame bursts and he’s going through the ropes.

Man that score is beautiful, didn’t sound evil but more menacing and at the same time it had an undertone of sadness, perfect music for Victor.

That's exactly how I felt. POWERFUL!

Creed comes out with a squad. Drago, with the only person he has - his father. He has a team too but they're sorta hidden. That symbolism.
