      My problem is the cost for these cheap as can be designed made Taiwanese manufacturers. These Taiwanese companies make the cheapest and most un-reliable products. It's all the same parts from the same cheap companies made as cheaply as it can be made in TAIWAN. I wish someone would make a video about why Western society is so ignorant as to how they are being ripped off by letting these companies overprice this garbage. It's sad but it's all we have. All these companies are overcharging by wayy too much for these poorly designed and cheap components. Corsair, Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac, Asus, Biostar, Thermaltake, Asrock, etc is all just cheap crap that's overpriced. The failure rate at which these products fail is staggering. The failure rate goes up every year, yet no one complains about it and people just keep getting screwed... Realistically you should only pay 200$ for these boards in the review at the most. 850$ for a board like this?? The board only cost about 150$ to manufacture it at the most!!! In TAIWAN! They are literally charging WESTERN labor which the parts add up to maybe a 100$ for the highest end board listed!

      There *are* the few filthy well off gamers or custom loop watercooling enthusiasts that want to show off, but more than that, I think this is due to the "halo" effect of the extreme high-end products. They will give the brand recognition among people thinking of purchasing a much more reasonably priced product.
      It's a bit like the fact that Nvidia has the 2080 Ti, that makes something like a 2060 Super more desirable.
      Also, "Intel is always best for gaming" comes from the 9900K(S) and running low settings 1080p with a 2080 Ti for competitive settings, and ignores the fact that if you *do* want eye candy and don't run such high frame rates, the CPU selection matters a lot less (as long as it's "good enough" - a modern 6c/12t or 8c/8t).

      @FDMtech Having 2 2080 TI's does make sense in one realistic (but rare) scenario. If your wife and you are both avid gamers and want high end 4k gaming. You can build 2 rigs with a 3900x and a TI each, costing 3.500 bucks. Or you pay 6k for a 3960x-based system, 2 2080 TI's, and run 2 separate Windows accounts in VirtualBox.

      People will dislike a video for the same reason people see no comments and shout "first!"
      It gives them a feeling that they have actually done something, "woo first dislike hee hee!!", To them its an easy achievement, Like they have made a difference while in the real world they will likely never do anything.
      They don't realise that it is completely inconsequential and will be drowned out by other "dislikers" and the mass "likers" anyway rendering what they've done to nothing, but by then they've moved on to something else unaware.

      gaming at 4k the bottleneck is still GPU. Even a 2080ti can barely push frames at 4k.
      GPU hardware still really isn't ready for 4k gaming, the only reason it's even a thing is the various interested parties started pushing it super hard to sell better GPU's since 1080p was easily attainable even at the low end years ago. So they start pushing it on everyone despite the minimal visible difference on 24-27" monitors.
      Almost everything I've seen from reviews has said 1440p makes a reasonable difference but 4k is barely noticeable from 1440p at that size monitor.

      @@uglyduckling81 Sorry but I have to disagree-- if you go overkill on the ultra settings even far cry 5 pushes 40-60fps here in 4k, it's highly playable and never "barely pushing frames" to me, sincerely. Don't go insane on the settings and literally any game including RDR2 is playable at 4k, above ps4 pro/xbone framerates.
      I really don't get where the need for 144hz performance came from besides the most extreme CS:GO players, but what's considered "playable" is apparently geting redefined by it.
      That wasn't the point I'm trying to make though.. I just wondered when my i7 will actually become obsolete.

      @@uglyduckling81 GPU's are very much ready for 4K60. It's only the absolute most demanding of games that bring GPU's to their knees at 4K + maxed settings, and even then you can simply adjust a few graphical settings in games like RDR2 and still get a far better looking 4K experience than the Xbox One X at twice the frame rate. 99.99% of PC games will run at 4K60 maxed out with a 2070. More and more people like myself also connect their PC's to large 4K TV's for gaming, where it's easy to see the difference in resolution. I was gaming at 2560x1600 back in 2008 on a 30" monitor and i'm not at all rich. It's pathetic that 1080p is still even a thing.

      @trenteh I was blown away to see a little OC on that 2070 score above it's weight in 4k on the game charts here and Joker's/Jay's/etc. No microstutter, no pop-in. I do run oc'd (air), got mem with tight timings so that could help but as for 4k gaming I *REALLY* hope some of these guys test some more older-gen i7s to confirm. I got the card in advance expecting a need to replace everything else with it, but decided to hold off at least another year now.
      (Still. here comes the *BUT:* just found out while I can capture 1440p60/4k30 and even 4k60 depending on the game, 60fps 4k timeline playback in premiere gets undoable after a couple layers & effects.)
      What I learned a 3770k with a 2070 is still good for so far:
      * PS3/360-emulation upscaled
      * Capturing/editing/playback up to 4k60 if you don't go too crazy
      * Every big game out there (so far) playable in 4k.

    Perhaps it has been explained before but do you really need an entire hour for things to heat up? If you can find out the heat capacity and mass of the VRM + cooling solution you can make a estimate how long it takes to reach top temperatures. For an alu heatsink of 100 gram it takes about 5 minutes to heat up with 50 degree C when blasted with 20W of heat.
    Or you could just check every minute during the benchmark and take notes :P

    I am pleased that there’s no garbage tier VRMs. There’s something bugging me though. I hate all these little fans for both X570 and TRX40. If it was a standardized size like 40mm you could at least have the prospect of replacing a dead fan with some 40mm noctua. But nope we have to have aesthetically pleasing tiny gpu style fans with weird sizes and no obvious mounting hardware like screws, they’re just.... fused into a motherboard that costs hundreds of times the value of the fan.

    • @dier2tte
      @dier2tte 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      1000D Should fit it, because Aorus Extreme should fit in any case with 8 expansion slots and as far as i know 1000D has 8. Gigabyte website says 32.5 x 27.5cm, so it is not a full 34.5cm XL-ATX - it's only 2cm longer (aka 1 expansion slot) than a TX/ E-ATX.
      And for Width is nothing special, 27.5 cm is just like any other E-ATX board.
      But is funny how Corsair made such a big case with only 8 expansion slots when even the 750D or 780T have 9.
      My Aerocool case has 10.
