You guys are doing an amazing job, your work is definitely being recognized!
Totally worth it!
This vet really knows her horses❤❤❤❤
I can see your vets assess for whatever is best for the horses to give them care for healing if possible and also giving a dignified death. I was a nurse and understand most of this and respect your work . When I can I will give support ❤
That blue roan was absolutely someone's best horse at some point. It's such a tragedy that he didn't have a "best horse" retirement.
No doubt. Well bred gorgeous boy
I was thinking the same thing, and I think I've seen him on picture somewhere.
As a famous breeding/show stallion . ..!?
I could be wrong tho...., but his head, (broad and with intelligent eyes. ); and his color.... hmmm.... I think he stood for 40K breeding fee...!??
If I'm correct, then it's a CRIME to NOT give him the retirement he's owed !!
😢
Makes me so SAD and so ANGRY !!!
How can people behave like this towards their horses !!!????
@@emmanx011ALL horses deserve a decent retirement. I dont like breeders because they all have excuses not to be responsible for the volumes they breed and where their babies go. We all know they are the beginning of the pipeline, and thank goodness horse Plus and other rescues are at the end or near the end to help every horse they can get. At least some are saved and relieved of torture.
@@topazzsky not all breeders are irresponsible. It doesn't help to tar the good ones with the same brush - its very discouraging for someone going that extra mile to be repeatedly dragged down with the people who harm the animals they love and there are people who do keep their animals very well. The people here are a great example!
At the end of the day, it's businessmen and women causing this suffering for money. I like to reserve the term breeder for those responsible individuals, as a measure of respect for their efforts, people who make not only a job out of it but a vocation. The irresponsible, money grubbing animal abusers are little more than industrial foal farmers.
@@silversiren7046based on what we are seeing here, horse breeding needs to be limited on every farm. Period.
It’s so heartbreaking to see horses get this skinny. It’s called food ,feed the horses, just feed them. How can you not feed them?
That little gray Arab reminds me so much of my favorite horse I ever had, Teke, He was just incredibly smart and wonderful. I loved him and he had a good retirement.
This little hairy pony was bad eyes is so dang cute and lovable
Your vets are so wonderful with the horses. I have been a proponent of your amazing work for a while now. My heart goes out to all of you for having to make the tough decisions. And your fabulous patience. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your compassion and understanding!
THANK YOU FOR SAVING THESE HORSES OMG THANK YOU I WANT TO CRY
I was seven years old when I saw my very first "Horse Love".
A beautiful Blue Roan.
The prettiest thing I've ever seen!!
I finally got my first horse when I was 15 yrs old, he was an older sorrel gelding.
Now at 72 yrs old, I still have a horse, chestnut gelding.
Although, I've never had a Blue Roan 🥺
I'm still blessed with having wonderful horses over the years.
I LOVE THEM ALL, VERY MUCH!
(a "special love" to all the Blue Roans in the world!💕💕💕)
It always breaks my heart when you open that trailer door. Thank you for being rescue heroes.
so does mine they get there last act of kindess so god bless them for doing this
White Arabian,- beautiful and sweet, Blue Roan, Stunning. For him to have ended this way is inexcusable.
Thank God they were given the last act of kindness and didn’t end up in slaughter 🙏🏼
Oh that skinny, old blue roan that came off first is a beauty! Heartbreaking 😭
I want to thank Dr. Lydia for showing these innocent horses (ponies, donkeys, mules) such kindness, compassion and unconditional love. Watching this video, I thought, if I had the misfortune to be one of these horses, I would want Dr Lydia to be the vet to examine me. I love the fact that Dr Lydia speaks to each one of them as if they are old friends, pats/pets them and does whatever she can to put the horse at ease and let it know that they are at a place that will treat them with the dignity they deserve.
I admire all of the people who give of themselves to keep Horse Plus Humane running so that they are able to continue rescuing equines from the horrific death they would face if left in the slaughter pipeline.
Thank you all for saving these horses.
My grandmother was 99 years old and we knew it was just a matter of time but that does not change the fact that it still cuts you to your soul when it happens and it's devastating I will definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers and I give them my utmost condolences
Seeing that degree of starvation on so many horses brought tears to my eyes. It's so horrendous that people can do this to horses in your country and the owners not be charged.
I will never get over it. I will also never forgive it.
They should be charged, everyone of them.
My friend Marie's horse Queenie out lived 10 cows...
A guy from high school asked me if I wanted her but my father was horrified that they let her starve. Marie owned her for 3+ years then she passed.. They fattened her up as much as they could but she never looked like she should have..
Queenie was my horse Lady's best friend.. She whiney'd pitifully after Queenie died.. Going past her house was tough..
I’m so shocked…I know this sounds odd at the kindness and caring you give these lost souls
The trauma these poor horses go through is unforgivable.
The way your vets touch the horses is lovely to watch. The love expressed through their hands is so evident. Thank you for all your vey, very hard work.
First time watching, some people really suck. I had no idea horses are treated like dogs and cats with a much more horrible ending. Thank you for what you do.
I can speak from personal experience. The horse that was so painful in her spine wasn't able to stand still because of that pain. I was born with a congenital condition of the spine. When my pain is high, I can't stand still whatsoever. I rock my weight from one side to the other. Thank God she landed with Horse Plus.
I'm so sorry. I hope you find some relief
Hugs ❤️
Yup, i got EDS and we often are in weird positions and rocking due to pain and instability
From Alberta, where horses are flown over seas for slaughter, we love you horse plus… no need to apologize for staff changes… focus more on all the individual’s that come into your care, whether for the LA-of-K or treatment/rehabilitation. That takes less pressure off ya’ll. Save the nitty gritty for the club members. Your regular viewers I think, care more about the rescues. Love you all though, have supported for years now ❤
OMG please, the blind horse needs food. JAYZUZ as my mom would say. THANK YOU.
THE BLUE ROAN IS BEAUTIFUL AND I PRAY FOR AND LOVE THEM ALL...
Little white fuzzy horse should be called possum that's what he looks like he's so cute
"Possum" is an appaloosa
These trailers are like Mary Poppin's bag. . .horses just keep popping out!
I’ve seen vets that throw around those words that sends shivers down my shine…this horse will be going to a better place….there’s no better place than being able to live cradled in the arms of kindness and hope, if only for a few hours…don’t put them to sleep immediately, let them know kindness for a short while.
Thanks to vet a d volunteers ❤❤❤❤❤❤
There is nothing lovelier sounding than an animal eating.
God Bless you all❤
Thank you all for what you do. Seeing the ponies with Cushing’s brought tears to my eyes. I’ve been blessed to have had 4 Fjord’s over the past 37 years, the last one received the last act of kindness 9/9/2024. We treated her Cushing’s for the past 7 years, and with her thick Fjord coat I would body clip 2x/year. She was really struggling this summer, displayed laminitis again & we were concerned that another of our western NY winters would be a challenge for her. She was born & passed here on the farm. My barn is now empty & my ponies are missed, but I know where they are & i was with them. The strength you all display with what you see is admirable, with such a range of different injuries & illnesses that are left to your hands to make decisions that responsible owners should be making. My promise to my ponies was that they would not leave the farm, they were my responsibility to take care of to the end. As a retired SICU/BU/PICU nurse, I know you see some terrible things. I can understand the stress that you all experience and pray God gives you continued strength to do this mission. The vets are amazing, as all of you are, but the decisions they make can be very difficult. They carry a heavy burden on their shoulders and in their hearts. Prayers to all of you and praying that the pipeline gets shutdown, so our equine friends don’t have to suffer and you all will get a break from the buyout program. God bless you all & the girls and their grandmother. ❤️🙏🕊️🐴
I'm so sorry for your loss margelittleboy 😢
@@karenzmuda2305 Thank you, very much appreciated.
Hugs ❤️
❤❤Jason, thank you for the almost lives❤❤ really great to see all those horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys be helped.❤❤bless all the HP staff.
That blue roan is gorgeous thank God you saved these horses. 💕🐎
I do believe lil man was enjoying the sound of rain and his brushing.....soothes my soul 🩵🙏🏼
❤️❤️❤️
What a BEAUTIFUL blue roan….he reminds me of my boy. Every horse we have STAYS with us until it’s their time to cross the rainbow 🌈 Rainbow Bridge🌈. We may sell a few or adopt some rescues…but, they’re to people we know WELL‼️
Dr Lydia? YOU are my daughter’s FAVORITE HORSE VET‼️♥️ She LOVES YOU♥️ & aspires to be as great as you are‼️ She graduated last year, she finished a little over a year ahead of the rest of her class…& is now a DVM herself!! She takes horses, cattle, buffalo, cats, dogs VERYYY SERIOUSLY‼️She sounds so much like you, when you talk the horse vet talk LoL‼️I know a lot of it…but, it’s music to my ears to hear her knowledge !! My Cowboy ((husband)), is a farrier((primarily our horses, over 5 places)), & now we have a DVM too !! We’re cattle, & buffalo ranchers.
Also, we take rescues when shelters around our places, are overwhelmed with horses. We love helping our furry family members. They ARE OUR FAMILY MEMBERS, just like any of our human family members.
THANX FOR ALL YOU DO!!
We’re going to be going to TN next year…mid summer…to visit friends. We would LOVE it if y’all would allow us to see your facilities. We wouldn’t be in the way…we KNOW how fast pace what you do is‼️♥️‼️
Thanks for saving the skinny souls ❤ when I think about rain I think it grows grass.
Thanks for the work you do.
Thank you for providing all the loving care🐎🐎❤🐎🐎❤🐎
I’ve never seen a vet so gentle
prayers for Haily and Macy and their familes
Thank you for the last act of kindness for the horses that needed it. They knew they were being helped and were in a safe space. They were out of pain and passed with dignity and kindness. Thank you and God Bless you all. Prayers to everyone. ❤🙏🏼
Jason, I love that you and Tawnee continue value your employees and rescues, no need to apologize for the media team! We appreciate the content! Keep up the most important thing, proving dignity and respect to people and animals! Prays for the girls family! Hang in there!
Praying for the Rescue Team and the ladies who had to go and be with their grandma.. I am a big fan and appreciative of all the work that you all are doing… 😊❤
Ich Danke ihnen von ganzem Herzen 💕
Vielen vielen Lieben Herzlichen Dank ✊💟🫶🌻🎉👏
Even with those who need the last act of kindness, they at least leave us with pain med, many treats and a full belly. More than most of them have known in months.....!
U are amazing horse angels❤❤❤❤❤
Prayers and positivity to everyone during this trying time. Even with reduced forces and missing integral people the horses keep coming and the need remains strong. Blessings and heart felt hugs for you all.
One thing that i do know, is maggots actually eat the bad wound, and clean wounds come thru, which is so much healther!
This might sound terrible, but I’m so glad to see other vets with the commentary and speaking roles on the videos. Much better now.❤❤❤
Your vet is outstanding. 😊
Heartbreaking to see the blue roan. Such a majestic horse, cannot imagine how many years of suffering he endured from that painful fracture & also not being able to chew or eat properly. :( No wonder he seems so checked out, like his body is there but his spirit vacated awhile ago. 😢So thankful you guys found him and gave him some TLC in his last moments.
AWESOME Work Guys
Thank you for helping these horses, and thank you for posting the intakes!! I feel like it gives a realistic look at what shape horses in these pipelines can be in; and I love when you guys explain what you're looking at and for and WHY in a veterinary scope, I learn new things every time ❤️
Some of these are hard to watch, but that hairy little old just grabbed my heart.
Mine too.
❤️🇺🇸🇮🇱🇺🇸❤️
I do believe the big blue, at one time, was a magnificent beast!
Poor babies....they seem SOOO hungry!! Thank goodness they have wonderful hay and clean water to fill their bellies.
30 horses saved that's beyond hope❤ wow another good buy out and happy that lives were saved
Oh Dr Lydia and Dr Gina, I can feel your shock and pain at this load of horses. Humans are horrendous to allow this pain and suffering to their animals. I only have three words for those owners…..Shame on you! Dr Lydia, I can hear your anger. 😢
So much suffering. I honestly don’t know how you all cope with this. The only good thing that comes from this is you know their suffering ends peacefully here and not brutally in Mexico or Canada.
Some of these horses literally lace me feel sick for them. I’m so sorry people let you down so badly.
Prayers for Hayley and her family. 🙏🏻
How does a human look into those eyes and not lose their minds over the torture these poor animals have been through
My pally loved pizza😊 i miss him very much 😢
My heart breaks 😭💔 poor babies ugh
Prayers for Hailey and Macey and their families, and for John and Kimberly in this season of their lives.
I just don't get it no matter what. How could somebody send any animal to slaughter? I feel that they don't have a heart. Very cold heart. It just breaks my heart to see this. I want to thank you so much for saving these 14 and I can keep him my forefront of my mind that there's never one out there that will go to slaughter because of you guys❤ that makes me feel better
I love how Dr. Lydia takes so much time and effort before making the call on whether the horse can be treated or not. This was a sad group, so many ribs. Thank you for providing a safe landing.
Prayers for Hailey & Emmie & for their dear grand mother that all is well. Bless them . Bless all of you for the angelic 🙏 work & love you give these animals.❤
Omg the state on them . Disgraceful. Poor things. How are people so cruel.
I think it is so unconscionable that people let their horses get like this and don't care. How can you do that to an animal. It is so heartbreaking to see what these people did to these animals but to know that they came to you and you'll do what's right for them whether it's the last act of kindness or getting them ready for a new adoption and family. 💔💕🐎
No need to apologize about video length Jason. Lots of sad horses, glad they weren't stuck on trailer heading to Mexico. Instead they were given the last act of kindness, all bc owners don't care what happens in the end. Some do, but we still have horses taken everyday to Mexico.😢 Glad that most will have a new life!! Thank you everyone at horse Plus for all your dedication to every animal that you take in!! Grateful for you!!❤❤❤
Thank you for all the Media work to keep us informed…and I love the HP Day lies already…so nice to see the daily happenings, and how all the Survivors start there new life at your place…❤❤❤
Praying for Haley and Macey and their family.
Lots of horses whose journey through suffering will now be over. Thank God they were brought to HPHS where they can have some love and treats before being released to the pastures of Heaven.
Seeing all these horses is sad but at least they made it to you guys and didn't go on to the slater pipe line you guys are angels 😇 to these horses 🐴❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
that roan from the first trailer was so beautiful
Fantastic organization , your standard of care is tip top, so thankful to you all.
God Bless
Greetings from Zimbabwe
Thank you so much for your kind words and support!
I’ve watched other rescuers…don’t get me wrong…most do a good job…but this is my first watching you guys…
That poor roan to make it that long and be tossed however he ended up there
that 33 yrs old horse was still drop dead gorgeous
Please do not worry about daily vids when u r so short handed. Amazing work❤❤❤
Exactly. You could go down to 3 or 4 vids a week and edit the most interesting happenings. Don’t kill yourselves, the work is already stressful enough. We’ll still support you!
I AGREE 💯 % !! ALL OF THE ANIMALS ARE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN A COUPLE/FEW LESS VIDEOS….IMO !!!!
We also gentle horses…I am OGLALA LAKOTA from SW SOUTH DAKOTA~PINE RIDGE REZ. Although we((my husband, & myself))don’t live on a Rez …never have. But, we visit OFTEN♥️. Our animals are FAMILY❣️
Prayers to Hailey and Macey, prayers and gratitude to the entire team, including hard working Keith. Last but certainly not least, Prayers to all Gods creatures 💚🐎🐶🦉
Seeing some of these horses just makes me weep. I am so glad people like you exist to fight against the harms humans do to these precious animals. Rescues always show us the worst, and best of humanity. Without people like you in the world humanity is doomed.
Awe, that last fluffy one looked like a woolly mountain goat. So cute.
You have a wonderful staff. But I have to say Dr Lydia is just so awesome. I love the way she treats the horses you can really see the love in her work❤
Brilliant work, it warms my heart to see the care given to these beautiful animals 💛
God bless you for all you do for these beautiful horses. And the rest of the animals that you rescue. 💕🐎🐾
Sending prayers to Macey and Haley and their family.
that grey is a lovely, high quality horse with a story I'm sure. I'd love to see him as a pampred pasture pet. He deserves more life.
Prayers for Hailey And Macy's Grandmother ❤
You do such great work, thank you so much! ❤ I love to see the successful rescues but I just can't watch your videos bc the really hurt ones break my heart too much. It is unfathomable how human beeings treat animals. 😢 Thank you again!!!
Thank you Thank you Thank you...they are not going to slaughter! The diagnoses are perfect.
My Tiberius is a rescue, been with me a 1 yr 1/2. I ask him all the time if anyone ever loved him. Then we both conclude that if they had, he wouldn’t be with me.
Thank you for rescuing him. ❤️
Hi 👋 everyone from Ontario Canada 🍁🍁🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi Donna, I'm Jo from Michigan. 👋🏼
🙏 for grandma
Thank you for doing your best for these horses. Loved the Arab.❤
All these standys are crushing my heart
WOW, awesome job kids under every kind of distraction, awesome team...and my fave part was Doc Lydia chowing down pizza in one hand, horse in the other...great job Jason/Tawnee...!
Watching from Ontario, grateful for your service and support for these beautiful horses. You are amazing people! From my heart to yours, big big thanks for all that you do! Sending prayers for Grandma.
Don’t worry about the food you are not the ones starving
Without something in the rescuers' tummies they cannot work at peak efficiency nor make sound judgement calls. They are dealing in a triage situation and are stressed with hard to call evaluations.
Would you like to work in such a situation without a full tummy so you have the energy to continue working until the job is done?
@@alycewich4472 Being a nurse that is pretty common

Same for Doctors, meal times & coffee breaks go down the pan ! You don't have time to spit some shifts !
Sending prayers to Haley and Macy’s family
My thoughts go out yto Hayle and Mayce. Hope I spelled there names right. Thank you for saving this 30 precius lives. Im so sorry if my spelling are bad, but Im Norwegian and sometimes I dont get it right. Some heavy rain there, but you keep on going the good work for the horses. Love from Norway.

Thank you all for the great work that you do!
I relate to the little pinto pony, I have severe neuropathy in my feet and my situation is the same way....I can feel my feet but my brain does not know where they are.....
😢
The work you all do is amazing. 30 precious lives were saved from the unthinkable. Thank you for being there for them when others let them down. My thoughts are with Hailey and Macey (I hope I spelt it right) and their family. You have an awesome team of people. Bless you all! ❤
That first trailer had so many pretty horses!! Oh my gosh, that poor grey Arabian! 😢
