    Ingredients:
    1 cup (140g) Raw almonds
    4 cups (1 liter) Water
    1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
    Directions:
    1. Place raw almonds in a large bowl, cover with cold water and let soak overnight. Drain and rinse the almonds
    2. Place the almonds in the blender or food processor, add water and vanilla extract. Blend at the highest speed for 2-3 minutes, until looks smooth and creamy.
    3. Strain the almond milk through a nut-milk bag or cheesecloth, squeezing well to extract the extra liquid.
    4. Pour the milk into an airtight container. Store in the fridge up to 4 days.
    Notes:
    • If you want to make a sweet version, you can add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or one pitted madjul date when blending.

making almond milk is the first step when I make a smoothie. I don't soak the almonds. I just throw a handful of almonds into a high speed blender along with about a cup of water and blend on high for about 30-40 seconds. then I go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients and blend. no need to strain the almond milk for a smoothie. I think the pulp adds fibre and you can't notice it in a smoothie.

Almond skin contain high levels of lectins, hence seems the idea of soak and peel before making the milk. Although this video doesn't suggest peeling, generally it's recommended to peel, and we don't need to stain the milk.

Thank you for sharing how to make our own organic almond milk. I'll look for a bag of organic almonds, and get a couple glass jars, cheesecloth to drain. That was super easy and loved that creamy texture, with vanilla extract. I will use honey in case the vanilla isn't much to my liking. Thank you so MUCH!!!

I love almond milk it is so popular now and can be found everywhere. I also like rice milk and oat milk. Popular dairy free milks available now are pea milk, peanut milk and flax milk. They all can be used just like regular milk and are more healthy generally. In much of the world milk is plant-based, and only in the west has dairy milk been regularly used.

It helps in their growth and only causes harm to human health. mother's breast milk is natural for the human body. We don't need to consume milk past infancy, it is not required. Great in a pinch, though. Cute bottle to save it in. Just almonds and filtered or spring water is all that's needed, but you can add whatever you want.

How to Store Almond Milk. Homemade almond milk will last for up to 3 days in the fridge, though it's best fresh. So I don't recommend making a large batch or more than you'll think you'll use in a couple of days. And it's so easy to make when needed, there's really no need to make extra!

Cashews are much easier. You don't need to soak OR strain..quick and easy and rich and creamy. Really the best milk! Delicious with a splash of maple syrup and splash of vanilla.
