Great fix Peter. TH-cam has helped me out many times it’s a fantastic resource thanks to people like yourself and I feel guilty sometimes because I don’t contribute.
The amount of hard repairs that I have fixed with a TH-cam search is unbelievable. Even just for a run through on what is involved in a awkward job, it’s great. Thanks Kevin 🙏🙏
@@kennedysgarage3281 only last week needed to replace a steering angle sensor on a MK5 golf quick look on TH-cam some nice guy from Poland had taken the trouble and ok yes I could have worked it out myself skipped through the video and memorised had it done in 20 minutes probably an hour otherwise and a broken clip or two! After that a door card on a Jag👍
Ahhh the Transit van. Such a great vehicle when they are running. No 1 vehicle used for bank robbery get away in the world! True facts. They are magic to drive. But jeeze they are unpredictably unreliable buggers 😂
Nice work, ive had this where it starts and cuts straight out, no codes everything is fine when it starts, but a real pain!!! Its great you have many different vehicles in keep up the fantastic service
I've just ordered that part as my van hasn't been running for a few weeks. The part hasn't arrived but this morning my Mrs was moaning at me about not going to work because of no van and it started. I let the van warm up and then went to work. Van wouldn't start so I had to pay someone £50 to put it on their lorry to drop it off home . I won't say but my Mrs is really pissed off with me over the van . She offered to buy me another second hand van but I'm not going to be accountable to her over one . I will put this thing on when it comes and let you know .
Had problems today with a zafira b all sorts of strange codes for 4wd and autobox faults car was manual and they don't come with 4wd 🤨 , under bonnet fuse box was at fault fitted one from my local breakers and had a no start quick search on here and another you tube legend mechanic matt had a video on how to swap the immo unit over from the fuse box had i not seen that video i would have gone back to the breakers for ecu and keys etc and probably still a no start🤣 . Thanks for sharing 👍💯.
Isn’t it just brilliant when that happens. Pulling your hair out then you come across a good source of information, Like Matt & straight away you know this video is going to help me. Well done to you John & Matt for sharing the info too 👏👏👏💪💪
The elastic bands in the transmission will go next.. :-) These also hate booster packs - usually you have to bang in a fresh battery. Nice fix Peter. :-)
These do drive nice & are super economical when going - has to be said. Them elastic bands in the transmission take a little getting used to - but beyond that.. There's always that gnawing thought that the woodworm are chewing away underneath & most of the important stuff is made out of Playdough - but those aside,,,they drive nicely. Vague - but nice. If you ever get a mk5/mk6 golf, key hard to turn or jammed in ignition, it's really common. Loads of videos on TH-cam. You remove the whole steering lock , complete with barrel & switch. Dismantle the whole thing (seems daunting) & there'll be a tiny bit of broken metal in the steering lock. Once reassembled, key will turn perfect. No new parts needed, just follow the video!
I haven’t got a clue, I’m awful on Mk’s on Fords 😬😬 I’m very good on recognising Mk1 and Mk2 escorts though 😂😂 I have an old rusty Mk1 with 30 years, I have to do something with it 🤷🏼♂️

It is very simple to change Justin & well worth doing if only to avoid it failing totally. Thanks mate 🙏🙏

The owner is trading it in against a new transit in January, once it stays going until then 😬😬😂😂

It is a really easy repair, good luck with it mate 🤞🤞🤞
Hola me puedes decir dónde está la ecu en esta furgoneta ?
Unfortunately I’m not familiar with these so don’t know off hand. Surely a fast google should find it 🤞🤞
Mk 7 mate. Mk 6 has the gear stick from the floor
Thank you, I’m not so good on transit models 😂😂😂
And the Mk 6 2.0 Di was a much better van engine wise than the Mk7 Tdci....imo. 👍
@@yensabi the newer they get the softer they get 😬😬😬
I’ve used TH-cam videos a few times to fix things. There often your videos Peter……..
I’m finding that I’m now starting to search myself to see how I fixed things prior 😂😂😂
