Here I am doing a temporary repair to my Ford Transit Connect van that is not Starting. UPDATE: Turns out it is was the starter Motor Causing the issue.

You my friend are brilliant and thank you for sharing. Use my van for work and wouldn't start, was out in the dark last night trying to bump it, wouldn't even jump start. Already had a new starter ( so was hoping it wasn't that). Been out there again this morning, hitting starter and trying to jump and nothing !!. Came in, saw your vid, changed fuse, and bang, she's up and running, so thank you so much, appreciated.
I had to keep doing it for a few weeks until eventually the starter motor needed replacement. I got about about 6 weeks out of doing the trick in the video
Nice one Ben. I got about 5- weeks after doing that, In the end even that would not work - I had to get the starter motor replaced. Still if it got you out of a hole for now. Happy days

My Mechanic has ordered me a new starter motor but to be honest I had doubts..... Then I found your video, it was spot on! P.S. Just subscribed, the least I can do. 👌🏻
Thanks Pal. It turned out to be the starter motor for me but this quick fix got me about 6 weeks before I had no choice but to replace it. Self employed here too. It’s a tough old slog but has its benefits too.
I've just had mine do the same but not blow the fuse. Same symtoms with turning the key and nothing happening though. Guessing starter motor has shit itself

Excellent! It lasted for a few weeks but it turned out I needed a new starter so maybe you might have to change it again if the problem returns 🥺

Does sound like the starter motor. Saying that I don’t know for sure 🤔
just put a 30/40 amp fuse in to get you by till you get to the garage then you can buy any other new parts you have burnt out getting there !
