Hi Jenny, How is life? We miss your updates. It helps a lot to know your journey with its ups and downs. It gives us hope. Anyway, wishing you all the best and many blessings always...
Hi Jenny! I cannot express how amazed I am by your courage. I am a 21y/o female struggling from anxious depression past 4 years and I’m about to have ECT. I am scared but I’m hoping it works!
I hope you did well with ECT. I’ve had 11 treatments so far and my memory is not doing great. Everyone else thinks I’m doing much better but I’m not feeling that much better. Please reply if you can.
Been subscribed for years, just came across you again after quite awhile. How are you going now? Hope you're doing well. Not wanting to het out of bed is basically my life right now.
Sorry I caught something I'm doing tms as well but I do it twice a week because that's what works for me. So Idk I don't think you have to do it 5 times a week. Idk if that's what psychiatrist have said but for myself I can do 2x a week because that works. But I'm glad your doing better I also got on new medication as well. So I wish you luck. 😁. Good job Jenny ! You sound good !
Rebecca Bien thank you for calling that out! That’s what I’ve been told but I’m sure it’s different for every person. I shouldn’t have made that assumption so I’m going to correct that next time. Thank you so much 💜
My son has been battling depression for over 4 years. Would you recommend TMS over ECT initially? I am just so scared of these treatments. Is the new medication still working for your depression.
@Craigslist Sales Wow, thank you so much for this information. You do not know how much your response has helped me. I will get him to increase his meds instead and start therapy again. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
@@happytrails699 don't listen to the anti ECT hand TMS people they have some agenda but the truth is he ECT saves lives and if your son has been suffering for 4 years it is something to talk with a good psychiatrist about not some random person on here. I forget the TH-cam video but it's about a surgeon who was so depressed they had given up on him but then he went through ECT and he went on to become a surgeon again and has written many books he's a fairly well-known guy you can probably find them on TH-cam giving his talk if you put keywords in like e c t and surgeon
@@Towervu Why not? I still look for success stories of psychiatry and all I see are a lot of suicides/homicides and very damaged people with a brain that's reduced to mush. 20 years later, this lady here will still try different treatments and meds, promote the shortlifed treatment breakthroughs, while her whole physical, mental and emotional health will decline. But that's not so bad because at that point, her selfawareness isn't there anymore, so she doesn't notice. 😕 If the ect was this successfull, why is she still in so bad spaces after it? I mean, just think for yourself please!
Thanks for these videos. I wonder how you are doing now? I am considering ECT but at the moment I can't get it on the NHS. So will have to go privately which is expensive.
Bro I would say don't have it it messes up your memory both short term and long term like I had 6 treatments also I have asthama so after 6 treatments I don't remember what movie I watched the last night and many more things my learning capacity has been so much reduced if u wanna dot but it should be your last option btw
I was on 30mg cipralex for 12 years i went down to 20mg n my depression n anxiety came back really bad i went back on 30mg for 4 months now n am not feeling its working am thinking of getting Tms
Your videos were one of the things that got me through a depression during the autumn and winter of 2018-2019 (severe enough to require a period of hospitalisation) and now I'm engaged and will be getting married as soon as circumstances will allow. That makes me want to ask: How has your marriage fared with the ups and downs of the last two years? You didn't mention your husband, but I noticed that you're still wearing a ring on your ring finger.
Hi Tom! Congrats on your engagement! It makes me feel really good that my videos were able to help you. My marriage is going strong, but of course, there are always challenges. Adam has been my biggest support through everything. I'm thinking of making a video on how to help your partner when they struggle with depression. What do you think about that idea?
@@jennysectdiary I think a video on how to help your partner through an episode of depression would be wonderful. Lauren from Living Well With Schizophrenia did an excellent video with her fiance on this topic (see th-cam.com/video/p3my8Syp__E/w-d-xo.html). But I'm not schizophrenic myself, so a lot of the advice there wouldn't apply to mine and my fiancee's situation. You could potentially fill a huge gap in the market. In any case, stay strong; however worthless you might feel some days, you are an inspiration to more people than you probably realise.
I had 3 ect treatments due gad anxiety i had lots of chest and stomatch pain now these pains are gone and i have 5 months straight tension headache its so hard to deal with :(
Any updates? Love our journey and you! I hope u are doing okay! Screw yoda lol juts always try your best even if your best is different each day!
Hoping for another update soon.
