Can’t talk about Football TH-cam without talking about Spencer.
From right at the beginning with COPA90 up to the most recent sidemen charity match, he’s been ever-present. The innovation of the Wembley Cup (which inspired the sidemen charity match itself) and Hashtag Utd who are still climbing the pyramid and have former EFL footballers playing for them. He’s certainly a pioneer in this space.

Just want to say please make this a thing the two of you. Hearing your experiences and applying your thoughts to my own life right now, being made redundant has really helped my thought process of not taking the resentful feelings and realising you take the experience and turn it into a strength. Very relatable content that is easily transferable to your own domain. Keep up the great work. Loz it’s nice to see you again and looking forward to seeing more of you on here and anywhere else you work.
Excellent adult conversation, love the fact that there's no stupid screaming and deafening music overlays. Just two real football fans having an interesting mutually respectful conversation.

As a creator myself who started as a football creator, I'm so glad I don't do football content as a career but so glad I get to watch others do it, be successful.
Football YT is an art, goldbridge and AFTV are the pinnacle.
Guys please do more of these I absolutely love the longer form and as someone that didn’t follow TH-cam since the beginning this is such an interesting talk!

It’s nice to see a open free flowing Podcast. I think Loz is a great guest and a really great host. He knows the right questions to ask, when to expand on points. I loved the true Geordie podcast but I always felt Loz was constantly spoken over or not able to host a podcast to the best of his abilities like he is here

Great pod but Goldbridge can make this into a great partnership. The production value Loz can bring is at a very high standard. Especially if United become successful in next few years, the documentaries Loz could make would be ground breaking.
I think Loz seems to be a much more likeable person recently. I always liked him but felt sometimes he was maybe too arrogant (with JaackMate on the Christmas pod especially) but do feel he does have good banter and does think things in depth
I was drunk on the JaackMate Christmas pod 😂 that's just me messing around and being on a podcast. I appreciate your comment but it certainly isn't the place to judge me 😂
He did a show with Rory and Buvey for years. I'd think I was a genius in the room with them too. He was always much better playing off Brian than any of the others. Those times Brian and Loz would duo cast games, ironically, were the show at its best.
Please keep coming back Loz. I really like Mark, Loz, and Will together. No one’s ego is getting in the way of another.
Thanks for this, really great healthy video that football youtube needs and hasnt had before/enough. I loved the point about having these channels helps validate and make you feel apart of a club rather than just watching them play on TV. I loved watching arsenal (wenger ball) when i was younger in 2010 plus (im 24) but when aftv came about it helped me feel more connected to the club and feel like even tho i live in Wales, i can share opinions and thoughts about the club that are relatable in terms of fans and normal people rather than just an ex professional on the TV. I think growing with the fans is a really important aspect, as weird as it sounds because i dont know any of you/them you grow an attachment and seeing them as people outside of pure football chat is great content and adds to the validity of following them and their opinions as they dont just seem like the football robots in the tv punditry world. I'd also love to see people be more real and unbiased about football because a lot of talk is just clearly for content and trying to be entertaining (it just really unintelligent talk), like when people act dumb(biased) for these combined 11s for example, i think you two specifically are really good at that.

Glad to see Redmen TV get mentioned as pioneers, as a Liverpool fan I really enjoy their content. It's only gotten better with time, Paul & Chris have really found their stride as they have matured and it's noticeable in their content. 👏

I want to do aviation youtube, I have the best cameras and all the ideas, but the technical side is truly a roadblock for someone with limited to zero computer skills & editing experience. I don't want to involve other people & this discussion has confirmed my reasons why not, yet that chasm from having so many ideas for content to actually presenting it in a watchable video as I can envisage it in my head seems insurmountable without free help. I'd love more discussion on the behind the scenes side of things, the journey on how you get from talking to a webcam in your bedroom to an editorial team with professional production quality
Feel like this is just the start of something huge for the space. Would love to see them slowly bring all the big hitters together one by one. Proper football TH-cam avengers storyline

I think one of the best thing about fan made content in general is it's really self reflecting and 'breaks the fourth wall' so to speak, and is therefore more intellectually stimulating / less condescending to the audience.

Love this duo. Feel like you counter each other well. I like mark and loz on their own but sometimes loz goes off and over analyzes every bit and sometimes mark is a bit simple or predictable. So for those 2 dynamics to meet in the middle is cool. Keep it up

I remember I used to be so bitter about Arsenal when i used to watch AFTV on a regular. Haven't seen a vid from them in ages and safe to say I feel a lot better watching arsenal even when we lose a game
There is no doubt that ‘ fan content’ engages people and massively increases their interest and connection with their club in an era where it is potentially harder and more expensive to support a team - thoroughly enjoyed this discussion 😊

This was an intelligent, entertaining conversation.
One point I don't think was touched on was the perspective of the clubs and the main sponsors on independent content creators. They see this kind of content essentially as parasitic, they will continue to be the enemy and there are a lot of powerful and nefarious forces around football and the media, limiting the financial potential of these channels.
So it will always be a struggle but I think the online communities it serves like and demand it. They won't accept the mainstream media alternatives because of the various filters and influences on the content. I think those organisations have a fundamentally different perspective on the audience, whereas Goldbridge's audience feel like they genuinely influence the content, as opposed to the content being shaped for them based on what they ought to like.
What I like about Mark and Robby at AFTV is they’ve matured and realised that the content they put out actually holds weight these days.
I can genuinely see the clubs (Arsenal and United) working with them in the future. To help them create more and better content.
Sadly that’s the way the working world is. I’ve worked in a few different industries and have regrettably learned that it’s not the people who quietly work hard and help their colleagues that get ahead; it’s often times the self-promoters, the credit grabbers, the schemers, the flatterers and the networkers who get the plum jobs. Not to mention that backstabbing and politics occurs irrespective of where one works.
Probably the answer is to be your own boss if you can be.

For me the best football creator is Stuntpegg, just consistently interesting, high quality and empathetic content about often under discussed football stories

Never really liked Laurence on the kickoff thought he seemed arrogant but how wrong was i seem's like a genuine nice guy would defiantly love to see a full time podcast between you two Mark.
I remember when TalkSport got Robbie on and scewered him over AFTV being negative and not good fans, and they seemed to enjoy talking down to him a bit too much. Simon Jordon first then Ray Parlour just followed a few days later. Such a hatchet job. You'd hope that more grown up converstaions between the mainstream and the rebels would now be possible and you two with SJ would be good... He really should know what it is to be a disruptor given his successful career in business
