Brian needs Loz to help smooth out his rough edges and temper his apparent fixations on certain topics which made them an incredible team but I distinctly remember Loz having several moments where he comes across as a petulant child when things aren’t going his way. They were perfect counterbalances for each other and made great content because of it. I am rooting for each of them individually but the Club boys have left a sour taste in my mouth with how they have also handled the situation despite all the mitigating factors.
Fair play to the lads in The Club, for seizing an opportunity that presented itself. But . . . fuck me, I would never leave my wallet on a table in a room they were in.
Laurence still said a whole lot of nothing with Goldbridge. Feel bad for Brian in the sense that he made one joke which so many people have made similar and nothing has been said but also that joke was set up by Laurence and no one seems to acknowledge that in the whole situation
I know nothing about any of this, including Football in general. But basically they took the opportunity presented with Geordie’s cancellation to make more money. To hell with whether or not it was the right thing to do and to hell with their friend. Maybe it was necessary to move on but it seems like it was handled extremely poorly. They obviously didn’t really care about Geordie as a true friend just what he could do for their pocket book and careers. Obviously, we have no idea what happened behind the scenes but what we were shown in public is not a good look for any of them.

Worked in professional broadcasting for over 20 years. The problem with TH-cam is that the majority are amateurs running on ego. They buy into their own BS and in their minds think they are seasoned pros. Just like with the boxing it’s embarrassing. Everyone wants fame but nobodies prepared to work for it. The talking over each other did my head in and just wreaks of amateurism.
The Club is a slap in the face to the football content community. Not only is their branding almost 1 for 1 plagiarising The Kick Off but the unnecessary shots they take at The Kick Off are childish. The Club was something that clearly was in the works behind True Geordie's back for a while before they got canceled again before the 2022 World Cup and I knew as soon as Buvey came into the fold more and more that he would be the snake that would drive it all forward. Mckola handled the situation with some class, but Rory "the salesman" Jennings and Buvey "the narcissistic snake" are pathetic and even Rory admitted that he wouldn't have as great of a life or career if it wasn't for what True Geordie and Lawrence did for him.
I dislike most of these guys but theres always been something about Lawrence that Reminds of of Jimmy Kimmel in a very disgusting arrogant holy-er than thou stance along with the way he talks down on others sometimes and enabled Brian in certain instances. I think you vastly understate the impact of the show getting canceled like that right before the world cup. it would have been the apex to get money fame exposure everything. And that guy killed it all for them refusing to do what was necessary to get it back for them.
True Geordie is a bit of a buffoon but he is obviously harmless and a decent guy, the way they all threw him under the bus was disgusting, especially Laurence. Fairweather friends are not friends at all.
I honestly feel for Brian, when the tough times came none of his so called loyal friends had his back, they all left. None of it had to with Islam, they ran because all the sponsors canceled their deals. Never believe someone who use religion as an excuse.
I never understood the hate McKenna would get. Yes from time to time he could be biased but that’s literally every single football podcaster and in reality everyone that’s a football fan. But his takes I always thought were reasonable but often times got taken out of context bc McKola, Jennings, Brian would just talk over him and not give him really a fair chance to speak as he was always one that didn’t get caught up in the loud shouting aspect like the others did.
It’s so strange for me to see the fall out I remember when Lawrence was on football daily and true Geordie had his own channel just talking about premier league games and I remember watching them meet each other when they did commentary on a charity football game and got along really well. Geodie cancellation was crazy especially how KSI said an equally offensive joke after and had all his friends laughing and all he had to do was say sorry and everyone carried on like normal. on the comedian point i do think if stephen tries or W2S or someone like Jimmy Carr said it no one would have blinked
Difference in my opinion is the persona put across and how accountable they are, for example everyone knows with Stephen tries 99% of what he says is a joke that has no real meaning and with jimmy carr he’s purely telling jokes and pushing the boundaries. Brian multiple times went on record calling people out for being wrong (which was part of his charm initially) with the likes of Logan Paul etc. if he’s going to have this power to call people out when it comes to social media it also comes with the responsibility of being perfect from a pr side yourself, so yeah he can say Logan Paul you are awful for filming that Forrest, but he can’t then make a racially motivated joke and have that be looked at as a joke and overlooked. Just my opinion though if you get what I’m saying

They had good reasons to leave because it's not like Brian fucked up once, he has said and been caught up in shit multiple times. It was time for them to leave, and to me The Club was a good move for them.
I personally find it very enjoyable, and so does a lot of other people clearly. Almost 200k subs is very solid for a football channel considering it's quite new.

I find celebs more so have freaky fetishises that only come out when someone gets screwed over, geordie just has a really weird fetish. Nothing criminal about it
It's not what got him cancelled. Even at the time when he said it, nobody really cared too much. The problems started when he "apologized' with the lamest shit possible and then ended iot with "like and subscribe". Instead of coming across as genuine, it came across that he doubled down on it all.
I actually prefer the kick off now. They don’t shout over eachother and you can actually listen to full debates and hear viewpoints from both sides.

Rory Bartholomew Jennings for a reason
Brian needs Loz to help smooth out his rough edges and temper his apparent fixations on certain topics which made them an incredible team but I distinctly remember Loz having several moments where he comes across as a petulant child when things aren’t going his way. They were perfect counterbalances for each other and made great content because of it. I am rooting for each of them individually but the Club boys have left a sour taste in my mouth with how they have also handled the situation despite all the mitigating factors.
Imagine of all people in the space...Buvey, being the one to talk about "getting football insight"
The problem obviously is the joke was offensive.
I mean he's a grown man in his mid thirties, he should know better then to say that stuff.
@@jonsnow2791people shouldn’t be so sensitive.
To be fair I don’t think they claimed to be true friends, we all assumed they were because they were great on camera but really they were just coworkers clearly.
