    thanks for the video ❤️. after watching your video, I remembered the initial difficulties with my mamiya 645. without an instruction book and videos, I started learning how to use the camera, at the same time I fell in love with that device forever 😄. your video was good and educational 👍. p.s. you have indescribably beautiful fingers..

    one more important tip, with the metered prism, TAKE note of how to install it, from the manual, esp. how to change lens with this on, the pin is NOT lever connected to the meter!, there is a delicate fusse chain (like on clock movements) and if you do it wrong, you can wrench the chain off the pin, and wreck it.

    Glad I found this video - I just picked up a 1000s and have never used one! One note: you must press in the center of the shutter speed button to get it to turn on the 1000s, but most else is the same.

    Thank you for this video. I am renewing my interest in film cameras and your video was helpful for me to understand how the light meter prism works.
    Is the process for exposure to set an aperture then you adjust shutter speed to get proper exposure?

    If I have a PD prism finder that does not work, what do I do with both shutter speed dials if I plan to use
    an auxiliary lightmeter?

    • @brainyphotographer2474
      @brainyphotographer2474  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just juse the dials directly on the camera. The camera knows only that there is a prism finder with an integrated light meter if you are setting the on camera shutters peed dial to the red dot. If you don't do so it should work fine with the dials on camera. Don't let the prism finder sit on camera when you are not using your camera for longer because it could soak the in camera battery empty. That happend to me some time.

      @@brainyphotographer2474 Thank you very much, I'll follow your advise and see what happens. when I bought the camera I had no idea that the PD prism finder integrated light meter was not functioning!
