It was for a while. After said while i got a bit tired of the absolute shitton of backtracking through the same tiny levels. Over and over.... including laoding times that were just long enough to be annoying in that frequency. With the effect that i ignored all the cool mechanics and just ran to the next door, or just gunned enemies (the same phantom every time...) down.
This game has an extremely steep dropoff from one of the most amazing game starts in history (and good first hours) to that kind of repetetiv gameplay. It kinda overstayed it's welcome. In only got to the end because at some point i started concequently ignoring all sidemissions i could.
I know you’ll never get to read this now, but I still wanted it out there. Thank you for the work you put into these videos. I lost my identical twin four years ago and have suffered from depression ever since. Friends and family try to help, but I don’t want to bother them at 2:30 in the morning when my thoughts are at their darkest. Your sense of humor and choice of games kept my interest and kept me company in the late hours. I know we all have our struggles, but I want you to know that you’ve helped me cope with mine. I wish I’d been able to help you get through yours.

I can't do commentary due to living in a multi-unit complex, but I can try to do the wrench challenge and other gear-based challenges for this game. Don't have DLC sadly so no psychic knife only until I get my head straight and hope yt pays me for views.
Prey is such a criminally underrated game. Honestly its so fucking good. The freedom of choice and the possibilities are incredible. And the Mooncrash dlc is its own roguelike gamemode which is also really good.Everyone who hasnt played it should do so. You could get the game plus dlc for like 10 dollars on sale or a key site.

Tried it once on my 37th playthrough. Got bored The hour I spent I will never get back, fruitlessly smacking a nightmare with too much pride just to use psychic abilities or any of my actual good weapons.
@@thelegalmexican9860 On nightmare difficulty, a fully upgraded shotgun takes 9 (or seven, idk) shots to kill a nightmare when you hug it, so combat focus II or III with a null wave device and phantom dash is the perfect way to deal with it. Although to be sure, maybe use backlash I to protect yourself lol
@@Abekiel I disagree. Even with the legendary effect, the Pipe Wrench is only decent in the early/early-mid game. By the late 2nd act, it really falls behind. By the 3rd act, you need to run from many encounters. Near the end, you would have to abandon any hope of attacking the enemies. Then there are the ceiling turrets, that you can't attack because they are out of range. It MIGHT be possible, but I genuinely don't know.
@@Gilhelmi It is possible if you use stealth and with mods it does around almost 40 damage base. Combine it with high strength and the ninja perk and you can do even the late game pretty easy. Then there is also the "dash attack" perk or what it is called in english that allows you to cover distances like teleportation and makes attacking really easy😉 Played F4 around 750 hours and tried every playstyle.

I'd like to see a challenge of, "Can you beat F.E.A.R with just melee?" F.E.A.R 1 to be exact cuz it has a holster option that also lets you just completely hide your weps and use fists instead
People have done, if you can believe it, F.E.A.R. damage-less melee runs. Yes, I'm serious. The AI for the game as well as how the slowdown ability affects it is so thoroughly and completely understood that such a run is possible.

Yunno, played this game enough to have done almost everything, finally fully understand the game, and made the most overpowered shotgun of all time. However, from my several days of playing, countless playthroughs on the highest difficulty, I am still too weak to do this challenge. Wonderful job
I tried throwing stuff at enemies at first but it doesn’t do much damage, you have to get like Leverage 3 to throw objects with damage output enough to kill mimics, and at that point you almost completed the game

This is the first time I have ever watched a play through of Prey and I seen the plot twist at the end coming from a mile away. Even with the limited plot information that you get with a Mitten Squad video

I really love this game, so it was cool to see you play it. Military operators don't respawn infinitely btw, I never tried to block off the dispensers (didn't know that was an option) but they'd eventually stop spawning. They do spawn a lot that way, but not infinitely. Granted, defeating them is much easier when you hack them instead of killing them, so I always ran around glue gunning them and hacking them. Might not have been in the spirit of this particular challenge though.

I'm glad to see this game getting more exposure, while it's not my pick for the most fun game or my favorite game, I do legitimately think it's the best game ever made. It's got great gameplay, it's very organic, and it has an interesting story

I bought it because of this video. I was looking for an RPG to scratch an itch, and this was the best thing I could find. Lo and behold, totally addicted. Still want a half-decent fantasy RPG with a really good magic system, but I ain't found something I've yet to play.
Going into this, the only things I knew about this game are that coffee cups can be crabs in disguise and that you can globs of adhesive. I know even less about this game now.

Now you need to do "object only run" basically you can only kill using the objects such as chairs or crates
I think you have to atleast pick up the wrench. You cant break the window by throwing things at it.

Please don’t give up on Prey. It is a terrific game if you are playing normally and I would love to see more videos on this game if you are willing to make them.

I remember my first playthrough I got the point where you had to scan the coral and stopped for a year because I thought I was never going to finish it then 0payed again and never realized I was 1 mission a way from finishing the game

I really love this game, so it was cool to see you play it. Military operators don't respawn infinitely btw, I never tried to block off the dispensers (didn't know that was an option) but they'd eventually stop spawning. They do spawn a lot that way, but not infinitely. Granted, defeating them is much easier when you hack them instead of killing them, so I always ran around glue gunning them and hacking them. Might not have been in the spirit of this particular challenge though.

My 10 year old brother watches you and started a fallout 3 playthrough just to kill Granma sparkl and then told me the curse of granma sparkle has been defeated.also keep up the great content
I'm glad to see this game getting more exposure, while it's not my pick for the most fun game or my favorite game, I do legitimately think it's the best game ever made. It's got great gameplay, it's very organic, and it has an interesting story

I lasted 10 months
So sad this game didn't sell well, it's one of the best games ever made, hope you'll give it some visibility and make some people buy it, the hope for a sequel is always there.
I bought it because of this video. I was looking for an RPG to scratch an itch, and this was the best thing I could find. Lo and behold, totally addicted.
Still want a half-decent fantasy RPG with a really good magic system, but I ain't found something I've yet to play.
Going into this, the only things I knew about this game are that coffee cups can be crabs in disguise and that you can globs of adhesive.
I know even less about this game now.

I’ve never been this early to one of these challenge videos, probably because it never gets recommended to me until 5 months after release.
That looked much more enjoyable to play than 90% of the challenges you have ever done. I am glad that you try to have more fun.
