- When Bethesda celebrated their 10th re-release of Skyrim, they pulled out all the stops. They added fishing, farming, the Bow of Shadow, the Fists of Cuffs and even horse armor. But more important than all of those, Bethesda finally heard our cries and added a Hard mode to Skyrim. Can You Beat Skyrim: Survival Mode Without Eating, Drinking, or Sleeping?

Can You Beat Skyrim: Survival Mode Without Eating, Drinking, or Sleeping? (in text form)
Survival Mode for Skyrim has been around for quite a while. Initially as a mod for the base Skyrim that launched around the time of the last global conflict and more recently as a micro transaction for Skyrim: Special Edition. In my lifetime, it was made available for “free” in the Anniversary Edition of the Elder Scroll 5. As the name implies, Survival Mode adds many exciting new features to the game to make surviving out in Skyrim harder. The big three additions are Hunger, Fatigue, and Thermometer. Not eating gradually increases your hunger, which reduces your total stamina, attack speed, and effectiveness of both sneaking and using shields. Fatigue is directly tied to your energy levels, the stamina of your soul, sleeping. Not getting enough sleep lets some of the air out of your inflatable magic pool, makes you more susceptible to disease, and reduces stamina and magic regeneration speed. Potions lose some of their effectiveness as your colon starts to power down from a lack of sleep. The worm needs his nap. Luckily the potions are not a problem for me because I’m not allowed to drink. That leads us to the third aspect: the drinking. I put “Eating Drinking or Sleeping” in the title but there is no H20 meter to keep track of, pour one out for the hydro homies, drinking is not relevant in this video. Up in its place comes thermo-meter. Temperatures range all across the continent, from warm fires to freezing skies atop the throat the world, I will conquer it all in my birthday suit. The real challenge is: Can you beat Skyrim’s survival mode without eating, sleeping or wearing clothes. Now, there’s more to Survival mode than what I’ve mentioned.
Just like in Oblivion, in this Skyrim survival mode playthrough you can only level up by sleeping in a bed so this is also the Skyrim at Level 1 challenge. Why do I get the feeling I’ve done that before? Carry weight is reduced a tad. Health doesn’t regenerate by itself over time. Animals out in the wilderness carry infectious diseases like Rockjoint or Brain Rot. Spending a lot of time feeling like sh*t will give you afflictions, you got a 55 on your test but you were in a bad mood when you took it so your teacher knocked it down to 45 to send a message. And, lastly, fast travel is disabled. This sucks. Let’s do it. - เกม

Well, to be fair, before germ theory took a proper foothold, you had to pick between either booze, tea, milk, or potent stomach curse that makes you crap out half of your digestive system from drinking even seemingly clean water. And so, nobody had a good idea why unprocessed water is borderline lethal, and before tea made it's way to europe in XVI century, it was milk, which wasn't very healthy for most adults, or booze.
And so, humany spent most of it's history on various levels of smashed.
Rest well, Paul. In honor of your legacy, I booted up skyrim, hiked across the map, slayed several dragons who got in my way. Found bucket, stole a wooden sword, stole the broom from an elderly woman, and walked the thlusand steps up the mountain.
I hiked to the top of the throat of the world, which at the peak i placed bucket with broom, wooden sword and fork. Closest point to the stars, where you are now.
I then booted up fallout 3, and gave grandma sparkles what was coming to her. I love you always, Paul.

i still cant believe how miniscule skyrim's main quest line actually is. its like 5% of the game lol.
That's why I usually save the main story for last. Out of the 1500+ hours I've played Skyrim, I've only beaten the main quest like 3 or 4 times.

Extra funny because calculators were once a term for people who worked calculating with paper and pencil all day, and the majority of them were women, so much so that it was considered a "woman's job" kind of like being a cashier or hostess.

I’ve never used the carriages as much as the first time I played survival mode. Never knew Dawnstar had a boat that serves the same function!
Really? I hated the carriages seeing as I had to almost always eat and sleep before using it and then again after arriving at the new location. But the boat from dawn star/windhelm/ solitude was the best
Really don’t know why they took away the fast travel function if you were going to take the wellness hit from the time lost anyway.
Yep, reminds me of playing morrowind in a way, though skyrim is a million times smaller than vardenfell. Still it can get tedious having to go way out of your way to get somewhere like when you have to do that dark brotherhood contract to kill the wandering trader. That shit sucks if he's all the way in solitude. Cant fast travel with carriages because he'll just move locations before you get there most likely.
There is a bug that lets you fast travel after you exit from an area as long as you stay still. Well sometimes it works
It's all fun and games until you get on a carriage to winterhold while not wearing your traveling clothes

An actual decade with this game and I just found out that using a carage makes your horse teleport to you.
That comes with the classic Bethesda small--print of "Usually". But it is nice in survival mode.

I just started that and WOW it’s so different. Enemies take almost no damage it’s insane
@@raulw858 you always need to prep for encounters and adventures out of town, and using Npc’s basically required cause you die in 2 shots.

I remember it making your health go down 🤔 or maybe that was when you were cold. It's kinda odd how how his health didn't drain. Or is it only stamina and magic that is drained without sleep or eating.

@@TheRealGameTime Not sleeping drains your Magika, not eating drains your Stamina, Cold drains your Health. The cold is the only one that can actively kill you, because Magika and Stamina are optional.

Since he was using AE, he could have made campfires for warmth. You make them at any forge with firewood and shit. You build them almost anywhere with the only issue being that it has decent weight but that usually not a problem. I always build a campfire atop TotW for when I have to deal with paarthurnax or alduin.
Is that with the free AE version or the paid version? Because Dear Hod do I need those
@@katiebrown3811 Paid, which gets you all the CC content of which camping is one of them. Camping is actually somewhat overpowered as it comes with a bed and the campfire which both warms you and allows you to cook some vanilla recipes.

I think it would be cool to do something like a no healing run where every bit of damage you take and every debuff that’s inflicted is permanent but for Fallout. So if you have to fight The Legate with four broken limbs and 1 hp then that’s what you gotta do. No reloads to take less damage. Then if you die it’s start from scratch
if youre immersed enough you dont need to sleep eat or drink while playing.. OHHHH you mean in- ah gotcha...

Bethesda will remaster/remake Skyrim for EVERY LAST console, but will never remaster/remake Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas for ONE console.
They never remake games. Skyrim is a port.
