- This video shows drone footage of the homes hit hard by the 1/13/2024 storm which had a very high tide combined with storm surge. Wells Beach Maine Flooded is a topic I'm all to familiar with because I used to live on Crescent Beach. Houses on Crescent Beach take Heavy Damage in this storm and the damage on Wells Beach Maine here along Crescent beach was extensive. Watch my other video as well which shows during and immediately after the storm:
• Wells Beach Flooded | ...
Although the Wells Beach Flooding from this storm didn't set a record, it was the worst I had ever seen. I'm explaine what is happening with erosion on Crescent beach as well as perform a fly by the ocean front homes so that you can observe the destruction yourself. If you are not aware, Crescent beach is a public beach right off of Webhannet Drive.

Airports: 40 minutes to Portland (PWM) and Portsmouth (PSM). 90 minutes to Boston (BOS) is best to use in the winter. This town is only 20 minutes to Sanford Airport if you have your own plane.

MUST WATCH VIDEO FROM JAN 13, 2024: th-cam.com/video/DhNbEh7ofIs/w-d-xo.html
Hey love these videos I grew up always vacationing to wells Beach Maine every summer it's very cool to see your videos, I hope to be back this summer
Thanks for the comment and for vacationing in Maine. :)
All boarded up, two sea walls look breached and the ocean looks like it is making the roads into tumble stones? One more storm on the next high tide. I have to see what happens. These are great videos. Thanks so much.
Thank you for the comment. I hope to be there at the next storm. It's still early in the winter.
@@livinginsouthernmaine GOOD LUCK
Good explanation about how the tides behaves over there, and I believe those ones who have their houses damaged very much, should take the opportunity to rebuild them higher up, and the same goes to the barricades ahead, I mean, that concrete shield should be increased and become higher than it is right now....
Agreed. Unfortunately, the Department of Environmental protection sometimes gets in the way.
@@livinginsouthernmaine Oh, I know what you mean... and that's a shame.
Great video. I'd be interested in using portions of your video for the work that I do for the State Geological Survey. Let me know if that might be possible.
You bet. Go right ahead. Maybe you have a contact for me at the Dept of Envir Protection. I have some questions about how much people can repair and how they should go about it.
Yep, glad to have bought in summer village. If you’ll be our friend, we’ll bring you the best green chili Albuquerque has and I’ll even serve y’all up chili Rellanos, green chili stew, posole, enchiladas …authentic and magnificent ! The likes nowhere to be found in all of Maine! ☺️
My dream to live in Southern Maine someday
Can you head down Atlantic towards the big harbor parking lot? How did the houses beyond Lafayette’s heading towards harbor?
I wish I could. I have a busy schedule this week. From my experience, the very end of Atlantic Ave may see high water but, very little wave destruction. I'll see about heading down there this weekend and I'll film if it is interesting.
I checked it out today. The dunes were erroded quite a bit but, all the homes looked structurally okay. Some got flooded. Some debris on the beach. Not as bad as crescent beach.
Can you go north of the Atlantic hotel, on Atlantic ave? From 50 to 100 Atlantic ave?
Someone else asked about this. I'll try to this weekend and I'll film if it is interesting. Atlantic Ave generally doesn't see as much destruction as Webhannet Drive.
I checked it out today. There was sand in the streets so water went between houses. I didn't see any damage structures but, some were flooded. waves went around houses and into the street carrying sand.
@@livinginsouthernmaine thai for the update. Much appreciated
You bet. Thanks for the comment. @@miguelmagapa
How far is Cornville from here?
Conville? Cornish?
Hey Can you get drone footage of Moody point
I really wanted to get down there but, the roads were closed and it is a long walk from Fisherman's Cove. I'll try to this weekend.
I did that today. Dunes on the ogunquit side were erroded quite a bit. Sand on the moody beach side was 2' lower or so against the sea walls. It will come back. I didn't see any homes with structural damage. Not sure when I'll post the drone footage. It really wasn't interesting due to light snow cover.
Why don't you do Ocean Ave?
I wish I could have, it was a long day already. I'll try to get down there this weekend.
I did today. it wasn't that interesting due to light snow cover. dunes were erroded quite a bit but, I didn't see any homes with structural damage.
Yes all will be rebuilt with public assistance and insurance money. The first thing will be to put up the “private road” signs to keep out the rabble!
Thank you for the comment!
Move away. You have been warned. Leave your stuff and save your life. ❤
Well at least you weren’t trespassing on peoples property and video taping their interiors. I’d sue you if you did that to my house.
Come one dude. Give the guy a break. If you wan tto be a Karen, go somewhere else. He's trying to be informative.
DUDE, He can be informative from a distance. This video is fine. Yesterday’s violated peoples privacy.
@@willburrito9710 Do you live there? I bet you don't. However I do know most of the poeple who own a lot of those homes and I can tell you they don't care
I was passing police and fireman the whole time. Some houses in the first video are 4 feet from the road, you can see right in side without going onto the property regardless, I WILL BE MORE CAREFUL. Thank you for the comment.
You obviously have no clue what this ocean will do to your house in a couple of years …They stand no chance to push back the ocean.
