For the first time in history, during the Royal Funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, the world saw a coffin lowered into the Royal Vault at Windsor Castle. As the widowed Queen and her family including Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex looked on, Prince Philip's coffin was slowly laid to rest below the floor of St Geroge's Chapel.
