Chad, really like your style of teaching. I feel as if I'm there in the garage with you. Note, my friend, that grinding the areas you cut out, to leave a smooth trim edge, is important. As a retired FoMoCo frame designer I can tell you that jagged edges act as stress risers that lead to metal fatigue and cracking. Take the time to make smooth areas you cut out like the large holes you opened up in Elvis' A arms. A few minutes of smoothing those edges creates a way stronger part.
So I had to.
My hubby watches you and mostly I'm in the kitchen cooking but I hear what your up to. Sometimes I sit and watch your shows also.
But I just wanted to tell you and Joleen your great doing what you want to do. And dont listen to the angry people out there in la la land. They are just jealous they can't do what you do.
Stay true to yourselfs, that what only matters your just giving us a peep into what you can do.

Great work from both of you. You are 100% real not fake like all the shows we see elsewhere. I've been interested in cars all my life. Your name comes very often in car meetings. Everybody I've talked to have a great respect of your work. I'm proud it's from our nice Atlantic area. That's a proof, we can do great stuff out of nothing here in the Atlantic. I might drop by sometime to say hello in person.
My apologies for saying you never complete anything. I obviously wasn't looking at it in the right perspective. This is just the way you work apparently the tv show is over with and this is what you are doing now. Inspiration inspiring others to do it. I would have to say this is historical. Most people never seen anything like this especially from some of the great car customizers of olden days. And to be honest I don't think that those would even compare to some of the things that you're doing today. It is a bit annoying and it sets my OCD off but I guess I just have to understand that this is the way you work. You're building these cars for yourself and you're allowing us to have an insight and see how it is done and gain some inspiration from it. Again I apologize for insinuating that you'd never complete anything.
Not often do you see a mercury with a dodge grill but this is bad chad and he'll do what ever it takes to get the job done all the while having fun doing it ! I applaud him on creativity Thumbs-up Chad and Jolene 👍 on a build that's going to be a epic build !
Another great video once again. I couldn't help but notice the bracket fabbed up for the top of the front airbag appears to be fairly close to the bag's protective cover. If so, it will not allow for the bottom of the airbag to move inward without touching when cycling the suspension up, unless the bottom attachment point puts the airbag on an angle kicking the bottom outwards. If it does not, it looks as if when the suspension is extended, the bottom of the airbag assembly on the lower control arm where it is attached will be moved inwards. This can be seen now, but greatly exaggerated with the lower control arm dangling past where it would normally bottom out if the ball joint was still attached. Just giving you a heads up just in case you haven't noticed this potential problem. Looking forward to tomorrow's video.
This is another really good episode. More ways to modify a suspension. Chad and John are moving it right along. Jolene is doing her usual great video work. Fina is supervising from her bed under the Bugatti. I like seeing the short videos on Facebook - they are helpful.
unless you are really into this a person will never understand how it works!! Money is the killer of all projects being it a car truck or home project. The key is to multitask and work on bringing whatever money you need to continue and keep the dream alive. I have projects that are moving along but are over 30 years old!!! My enemy is time. I have to work to support my family and steal a few hours here and there to get things done.
Never feel that you need to prove anything to anyone. obviously they really aren't fighting the same fight. I totally get doing everything in house and can't agree more with that concept for many reasons mostly money.
You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes you get what you need!!!!
We are all so fortunate that Chad and Jolene do this and Chad takes the time to explain all the steps to do something like air ride alway wondered how much work it was with all of the other shows i watch that do it in two mins it seem... and now i really know what it really takes so far thanks for that

Its good to hear Chad explain how passionate he is about his work. My son is an artist and I can appreciate where he is coming from. Faceless critics have no idea how much effort artists put into their creations. Yes I was referring to Chad as an artist because he is. Great video as usual.

Hope the upper brakets clear the shock/bag when the lower section is mounted. Are you just going to tack before you fully weld it up then check for clearance? I can't wait to see this functioning because I just put air ride bags on my 55 chevy and tried over and over before my external shocks cleared right after making my own mounts from scratch.
It all started out from cardboard too before I made them out of sheetmetal. Oh yea you call it Bristol board. I can't wait to see these work. I like how yours install but I got my shocks for free from a friend who bought them for his truck and never used them. I made them fit my mounts before the A frame. I'm dropping mine low with 2"drop spindles with disks on all 4.
I had a car named Elvis that had air ride, but he was an '84 Continental. Among other things.... best automotive party trick ever!

The shims were to adjust caster & camber. Not because of incompetent installers

Liking all your videos. One suggestion on the front air ride, you say you are going to raise the front hub all the way and put it on the ground. I would raise it so you have 1" clearance in case you lose your air in the front and still need to drive your car. If you what you are saying on the video and loose your air, you will need a tow job. Keep these educational videos coming, there great!

Awesome of Henry to donate the air ride and good to see it used on Elvis...it's perfect. Jolene's Bugatti just needs a small pump so you're not using that foot pump to air it up before leaving a show. Can't wait to see what you pick for Elvis' paint job.

Every day they come on here telling you how great, wonderful, fantastic you are. You know how good you are you don't need to be reminded. Guys like my self we give constructive criticism.
