Chad I got rear-ended in 2008 really bad and had to have a total of 7 back fusions and I worked in HVAC for 29yrs and since 08 I haven't worked and was afraid to try anything at all and since I started watching you I started working on small things and today I redid my in-laws bathroom and I completely redid the entire rear suspension on our 07 gmc acadia and my wife is so freaking proud of me which I haven't seen in a long time. Anyways I just wanted to thank you for being so inspiring.

Thanks for doing such a good job of filling in all the blanks Chad. Knowing the missing history of how you and your creations have evolved makes us feel like we're working along side you.

It is good to be honest with people and explain the progress on vehicles. I have been following you for a few years and you explained this a few times but hopefully it gives a perspective for those wondering. This is a much better way to approach things rather than putting up a video when you are angry. Keep up the great work!

Chad , I like to build bicycles and have two project builds lined up for myself this winter to keep me busy . Like you I try to be frugal and usually shop around for used parts or something I find for free . One of these days I`ll have a decent shop instead of my living room , haha . Thank you for doing what you do cause it inspires me to do what I do and I love what I do .

Thanks Henry Verryydt you made it possible for Elvis going up and down. Like Chad said he will always own the car. I know what it means to be given something. I have things friend's that gave me that long past away and to this day I still have those things hanging up for show. I pretty much know where everything came from in my little museum.

Like so many others, I had looked foeward to a Bugatti or two being completed, rhen the COD, racecar, erc. But, my intemperence was driven by my age. I also have cancer, so every day that comes is not guaranteed. We've all heard that it's not the destination that is important, but the journey. We've been invited to join Chad and Jolene on their journey, andd I've decided to enjoy it as long as I can. Elvis is going to be fun.

Bad Chad you are an amazing Man, truly amazing and I can see why Jolene is in love with you…. Keep on doing what you are doing because obviously it’s working and your channel is growing like wildfire !! I know you know this but don’t let the little fellas who are jealous and say negative things ever get you down and you never ever have to explain yourself to us true fans !! 💃🏻🕺🏼🥰💥⚡️🥇🥇🥇🍻🍻

Chad! Nice to see you opening your mind to doing something different. And explaining why you do things the way that you do. That 5 letter word...Money. You have the time, but it's about the money. Sad but true.
You have made do with what you have or found along the way 😉! I totally get it and understand your way of thinking!
Keep doing what you are doing Chad!
I still say we need to hear Jolene more, even when she is filming (videoing) .
I am beginning to see you talking a little more time, slowing down because you are having to think about doing things that are new to you! Good for you.
Please don't get so frustrated with the negative comments. The more popular you get, seems like they come out of the wood work.
Keep on doing what you do Chad!
Jolene,Keep Chad on the straight and narrow. Speak up ! Let yourself be heard. You have some good ideas. And it will help your viewership go to the moon!
Chad, listen to that soft calming voice your partner has 😌 .

Looked with interest at the car collection episode. Don't think anyone can dispute that you're a hard worker. But when you're having fun it's really more play than work!. You mentioned that the cars are always going to stay there. There you and Joleen's sort of kids. You also used the word perspective many times. I personally don't "get" the looks of many of your cars... Except for the little dump truck, it would look lovely in the office area of the shop. The vehicle with the whale fin in the back. I'd glance at it. Same with the one you drive from the trunk. Saw it a sema! Its Hum doesn't know? .......... As an audience member, I don't connect with your viehicals. However, I love how you build stuff out of what most people would haul away to the junkyard. I love that you're making a TH-cam and Facebook show out of it. I love it driving you and your Laday a good living. Happy for you that you're doing what you love. I'm also learning some tricks and shortcuts from you..THANKS! In the evening, when I'm finally done with my day's work. With whatever I'm having for the evening meal. Switch on Bad Chad to see how much he did on his project today. I was very interested when you were working on that truck. Or cab-over, as you call it. But you just quit?? Someone sent you a Freightliner step picture for your cab over. I think it would look good. I'm anxious to see the thing. But out of the blue, you switched and went and made a race car now it's parked.
Caused me to lose interest. Same as the Bugatti. I was really looking forward to seeing that finished. It's actually when I started watching you. To put it into perspective!!! it's your show and you can do whatever you want. I'm your customer and if I'm no longer interested in your product...... I go find a new product,

I restored a 1964 VW bus that turned into a massive money pit. Kinda
Stopped having fun with it after 30,000 dollars..LOL finished it and sold
It and made a couple of bucks. I and other builders know exactly where
You are coming from. It’s easy to get real broke real quick when you
Fall in love with a project. It’s not about the destination it’s all about
    The ride.

AirRide designates the units your putting on the Merc as "Shockwaves". [Bag & Shock combo] And then the ones on the Bugatti are "Air Bags" [just a Bag, but needs a outside mounted shock to control it] We call them this to designate the difference between the 2 so it's not confusing.....and is specific.... :)

I loved your show on TV, now Facebook and TH-cam. I’m amazed by your visions and incredible talent, I can see your mind on constant override when you’re walking around a project, taking in all the views, planning as you’re moving!!! I wouldn’t worry about the negative feed back, probably from a bunch of couch potatoes who keep grabbing the wrong end of the one and only screw driver that is under the sink in the apartment they live in!!

It is not permissible for you to be alone to enjoy other people’s cars as well. After you get the money, you can complete your projects. This is the car market, making, selling and buying. A choice ride Hiltz Co. You work smart...Your dedication reinforces the need for people to be dedicated to their dreams and desires. Opportunity does come with a pair of coverall work clothes. A famous inventor coined that phrase. I can't remember who it was though...I apologize. During the Art Renaissance time period: Wealthy patrons supported great Artists. That makes me think:: What can we do to help you? Love your show...Thanks for sharing your world with us. It's a great place to be...A place away from the realities of life. Peace be with you two.

Hey Chad, I would like to suggest for a moon tank on the race car, you could use an air pig tank. Decent size for gas, right shape for the look, obviously built to take pressure so it could handle the expansion of the gas in the heat, and you would likely find one cheap or free on one of your wrecking yard trips.

  • @douglasnicholls1366

When you said it was pink underneath, I thought "I dunno about that." But the salmon pink down there is a nice color, and would make a great 2-tone accent color. I think an inch lower is about perfect. This one's going to be fun, can't wait for the powerplant.

The Elvis Merc is cool. If you don't have the Tail Lights sorted, you could put a strip of small Red LEDs down the Body Line just with the tips poking out (Frenched in?). I've seen it somewhere, and they sequenced the the LEDs as Turn signals and Brake Lights. Similarly for the Front, they make Round Headlights with LED Hi/Low Beams in the top 2/3 and Turn signals in the lower third. Again a cool solution. Maybe if Jolene found the OEMs, they would sponsor these installs, or at least donate the parts.
Another thought, I think it's time you, and the friends that help you, get off your backs doing the mechanicals and got a Lift. Contact Wildfire and see about them sponsoring you by putting it in your Collection storage building; as it has the roof height needed. They've done quite a few TH-camrs recently, and seem to have good equipment.
Lastly, I think it would be better to get the powertrain into the Merc before making it pretty. I expect you are going to use one of the numerous engines & trannies you've accumulated in the last couple of years. Please don't put the Jag engine in. Make it something from Detroit or Windsor. That would be fitting.

Can’t wait tell the color is on.

To those that complained about Chad not finishing projects. Chad does not live in a warm climate like Texas or Florida, he's in Nova Scotia he could have his first snowfall within a few weeks and that would be it for the projects outside. If you notice his hoist is outside. Also if you haven't been paying attention it is been very hard for these car builders to get parts. They have to jump around on projects to keep giving us content. You were only seeing one hour out of each day. You have no clue if he's working on the other vehicles or not. Please stop whining and just watch and enjoy.

Glad you are showing that you don't need to spend thousands of dollars to customize a car. You do beautiful creations on a budget.

As a car guy that grew up in the 70's working on my personal cars and at various muffler shops I put on a ton of air shocks to give cars that 70's "jacked up" look but found that if the cars weight road to much on the shock mount the mount had a tendency to snap since those mounts weren't designed to hold the whole weight of the car for extended periods of time...so my question is after seeing this is are you concerned of the lower mount snapping under the weight of the car especially if you were to hit a bump in the road.

Chad, to prevent rear end wind up and axle hop with the single leaf, traction bars should be considered. Good luck with Elvis. Tom Martin.

The pink color you are referring to could that be coral sand..... I believe it was a 55-56 Ford color.... that would look awesome with the black....

I don't think black is the colour for that car. The pink colour I believe was called "salmon" which was paired with white. Also the turquoise/ white was a great colour combo for the '55 & '56 Mercs. (one of my favorite cars) Whatever you decide I'm confident it will look great, as your other builds do. P.S. If you do go with the black and the pink under the side windows, the top should be white. Not many cars can wear a 3 tone paint scheme, but the Merc can.

Air shocks and air ride suspension are two 2 totally different critters. A fou4 link suspension is used with the air ride eliminating the springs completely. Sorry to be bearers of bad news here. Air shocks are WAY cheaper than what's been given here. Watching a few TH-cam video on such subjects Chad would make this build a diamond in a goats ass over a hacker rendition of whatever they think works. TOO cool of a ride there to be quite over.

Pearl Peach/Tangerine with metal flake black maybe, but please no pink. It will look like every other Elvis car if it’s painted pink. Please please not pink :)
