Seeing a lot of feedback on the video which I appreciate, but I’d like to know how did you like this type of video? Please tell me if there was anything I missed or did wrong that I can correct in my upcoming videos thank you guys!
I agree with the guy before me about not refusing to show stuff you dont like. Also, i dont know if you're doing TH-cam because it's just fun or because you want to be big, but if you genuinely want to be big and successful and make this a career, then put in the effort. In the beginning dialogue on Winter Contingency, you said you didn't want to put the picture just because the speaker changed constantly. That kind of stuff is what your audience WANTS to see, so if you plan on doing this long-term and not just for funzies, then definitely consider putting in that kind of effort.
Fun fact there’s fish on that halo 2 level that that brought into reach, it orange in a sky scraper one where the engorge sword spawns in the water Also that revamp of the first mission sounds awesome along with a couple others
The Spartan logo actually is an eagle clutching a lightning bolt and arrows, so the eagle landing on noble 6s helmet would have been a cool nod to that
How could you be happy about the boat level getting cut? Imagine sinking a super sized covenant ship the size of an assault carrier, or even underwater combat. Ahh what could have been...
Or even just the addition for forge world. Imagine the custom maps you could do with beach style assaults with boats for invasion or something.. it would've been so rad bro
Or like how mentioned in the cut dialogue part talking about scarabs entering the harbor which could’ve meant that they entered though the ocean and it would’ve been fun to bee on a boat shoot the scarabs and board them to disable them.
Ultimately it would not have worked. The water bungie made in halo 3 wasn't really usable in reach, hardware limitations or something so who knows how a boat level would've worked. It's possible that they'd have to do more work to make a boat level work with the fake water than it would to make a boat level work with halo 3 water
Oh right.. the Kodiac. I forgot about that. The player could drive it around like a warthog but then "lock it down" and fire the missiles/guns, sort of like the siege tanks in SC. I think we were going to use that in the second mission.. but for some reason we cut it. Just wasn't fun enough to justify the expense.
YEAH! That’s what I thought immediatly when I saw that! I can kinda see why it was cut since it would get halo fans calling Bungie ripping off Gears of war, but in all honesty, it would be awesome to see! Like seeing it as a big unit in a Halo version of Total Warhammer or something, but put in a shooter.
adding onto the human APC, recent digsite release for halo 3 has an old APC_MOBILESTATION vehicle that was found in the blockout for a reach MP map called Farm. The design is less interesting tho, and its likely the vehicle was meant to have a Sat-Dish on it.
The dialogue makes it seem like the campaign was going to have the player be spoon fed armor abilities the whole game and im glad they didnt the dot or kat tutorials would've been annoying
It likely would’ve been for easy mode only, or a setting for first time players. After that I feel it was likely a toggle. But I do agree it would’ve been annoying on replay.
I don't get the hate for the farmer weapons. Like sure it's the future, but do you really expect a bunch of farmers barely making ends meet to have hi-tech, military-grade weapons? It makes sense that they'd have very basic shotguns and hunting rifles. Besides, I doubt they'd be usable, and likely just be background dressing/props anyways.
It’s so insanely dumb too! “I hate these designs so I’m not even gonna show you them” BRO WHY WOULD I BE WATCHING A VIDEO ON CUT CONTENT IF YOU DONT SHOW ME.
@@17thmidnight96 Those were insurrectionists that stole those weapons. Pretty sure the farmer weapons would just be used for the regular farmer civilians.
The farmers did have hydraulic systems and computer tablets in their homes so I believe the weapons would have a different look too. Maybe something that makes it less 20th century and more in line with the rest of the game design.
@@SuperCorndog12 You'd be surprised how little firearms have really changed over the last 100 years or so, and how little they're likely going to change in the future. Military-grade stuff is going to advance a bit, but there's really no need to advance firearms for civilian use. What we have now is pretty damn good, so I can believe civilian firearms in 2552 or whatever looking pretty similar to what we have now. I can even see wood still being in use for stocks.

Damn, you just reminded me how much I love the ending cutscene to Reach. Your cracked helmet on the ground, and years later after the planet healed from the glassing was just such a beautiful moment. I always imagined a kid playing in that field hundreds of years later and finding your helmet, not knowing the sacrifice the spartan this helmet belonged to. Looking up to the sky, he would wonder what would happen in his own life. Thank you
Halo Reach’s concept art has even more surprises in them, including an early version of Halo 5’s Kraken. You just got to love Halo Reach, it was perfect already and then you see the little things they couldn’t add that make you want more of it.
Bruh it’s actually so fucking interesting how the early version of the Revenant design actually inspired the Revenant that was actually supposed to appear in Halo 4 but got cut out of the final version of Halo 4

The amount of halo cut content, especially involving wildlife is insane in all halo games, like nearly every halo game has removed a lot of wild life, and ive seen a lot of cut content, being someone who preserves halo cut content, but wildlife is like one of the most cut things i can think of. the hawk may be cut content, as the hawk that is cut content could be slightly different from the one in game
You missed two more cut armor pieces in Reach. The Akis chestplate, an angular chestplate that looks nithing like the collar we have. It's still missing from MCC, likely cause all that remains is a very rough blockout and no textures. It was called Preserve And the helmet that was supposed to go with the collar. This helmet did make it into MCC, called Mariner
The reason you saw a vtol on the mission timeline, is because originally the falcon had a more hind like vtol/chopper design. You should have looked at the original concept art of the falcon because its nice. been wanting to see some halo cut content videos for years. So much of it hasn't been covered and its worth checking out and being put on youtube. Its great for inspirations for my mods. Like the boat mission I made based on the cut halo reach one or the dinosaur mods for halo 3

It’s too bad the wildlife was cut, and same goes for the water level (there’s a Halo 3 mod called Desolate December that adds boats and this big Covenant boat thing to the game. It’s a fun mission, but is kind of janky at times). I have a list of Halo’s biggest missed opportunities, and those are some of the things on the list (the lack of human enemies is also on the list. We should’ve been fighting against humans and alongside Brutes as the Arbiter prior to the Great Schism. Since the Banished will let anyone join regardless of species we should’ve had human enemies in Infinite. And Reach should’ve had a campaign dlc where you play as an Elite fighting humans). Shredded Nerd and I think Larperladed did an interview with one of the Bungie devs and he talked about his experience making 3/Reach. It was interesting. The videos like an hour. I had it playing in the background while I was working, and watch almost everything at 1.5-2x speed. In addition to Digsite if you want a cool look into what was cut from 2 check out C3Sabertooth’s videos animating 2’s storyboards, and Vengeful Vadam’s Halo 2 Uncut mod (you can still experience the latter through playthroughs and watching the guy’s videos talking about the various changes. Also, MCC regularly goes on sale for Steam, and it will run on a laptop since the system requirements aren’t very high). My ideal Halo would be a remake of 2 that gives us Bungie’s original vision.
I think the cut dialogue of destroying a relay core on Long Night of Solace instead of redirecting the ship to the Covenant Super Carrier could’ve been part of a earlier version of the mission, with the standing in the beam to disrupt it being a really cool reference to the beam generators from Two Betrayals from Combat Evolved!!!! >w>

Jorge talking about the jet pack is a little funny, considering that the first appearance of the jet pack (I think) is the level immediately after his death. Edit: I’m wrong
Really impressed by your level of halo expertise. Not enough people know that the hawk exists in game! It isn’t fully developed tho, as you cannot kill it with impact (bullet damage) and it can only be killed by explosive damage. The only way I know how to feasibly kill it is by using the Falcon glitch and shooting it, and it doesn’t just explode like the other birds in the game, it actually just falls from the sky and you’re able to mess round with its model
I think the most interesting thing about the cut content from halo is how much of it was reprised throughout destiny 1 and 2, most notably from this video is the siege engine and how the "retraced path" looks almost identical to the concept art for the focus rifle (which it was based on). Also I'm pretty sure that air vehicle at 15:20 is a pelican, which would explain why it was an easter egg to drive in New Alexandria maybe if it was intended to be originally used instead.
I'm glad all those those tutorials got cut out, though it's funny that they do mention those secondary effects for the armor abilities that nobody knew of like the health regeneration from the bubble shield.
I sorta feel like the timeline you showed with storming the city would line up with acquiring your own Scarab. Maybe the Covenant would have taken over the city and not glass it and you'd have to Storm it with an army seperately or something? Either way, super cool stuff here! 🧡
I think the cut dialogue was a walk through to tell you about the new equipment added. Also the cut part of winter contingency sounds fun. And the scarab par is interesting! Maybe a falcon fight with it...
with how the armor is used in single player and firefight, they would have to add the parts to every single map and mission, befor the MCC it would requier them adding tags to every playable map and cutscene missions, if you recall with MCC, early on you had the smily on the armor, cause 343 couldent add all the emblem tags to the single player maps. any armor add in halo 3, ODST, and reach at the time, would requier every single map edited for it wich explain why they dident had time while taking screenshots, since only the DLC map would have them, while other maps and single player wouldent.
The scarab and the siege engine would have been awesome to drive and then fight against respectively. Good video overall dude. I would watch another one if you made it.
17:39 docked in the space station there top middle is a Marathon class cruiser, from halo 2 which is a more newer and better cruiser than the Halcyon class cruiser "Pillar of Autumn" we got at the end of the game.
I used to imagine if chief was time traveled to the civil war, just wielding a gatling gun like a halo 3 turret (the game darkest of days kind of delivered on this) mc losing his guns and having to be armed by a local farmer sounds awesome. Like he links up with farmer from Hot Fuzz
You forgot there is a cut helmet attachment for the deft helmet and it was only in the beta. It was a brim that went right on top of the visor, 343 actually added this attachment in halo infinite
When it comes to helmets too, If you managed to mod the game, you could actually put vast majority of helmet attachments on other helmets with little to no issues.
I can completely see a mission which takes place on the sea floor, and/or Noble Team boarding a submarine. With a boat, I'd expect a mission where they are transported on some kind of battleship or aircraft carrier, maybe an amphibious assault tank or something if needing to navigate dense forest and waterways, but the kicker would be the Spartans would jump into the ocean, and simply descend in their Mjolnir armour, which we discover can survive crush depth with the shields and/or armour lock. Back in Halo CE and Halo 2, water wasn't lava, so it'd be hilarious to be killed over and over again by touching the water, only to have a mission where canonically the Spartans can survive.
In all fairness, the movies Aliens and Starship Troopers were very heavy influences for all of Halo, but especially CE. (Something 343 forgot when they torched the lore.)
I honestly like how there’s cut dialogue of sone of the characters talking about how each armor ability worked, honestly I wish they kept that because it would definitely be very helpful exposing what each armor ability did in a short tutorial kind of way than just find out for yourself just feels so lame tbh
Its fascinating to see Reach's development early on because at the same time Destiny was being conceptualized and developed. So a lot of things in here also lent themselves to D1.
I'm all the way into Halo Infinite to find out Slugs coulda been here the whole fucking time. Also the armor lock /armor abilities dialogue was probably to help promote armor abilities. It is weird how detailed it is. & of course the one & only Kat who dies the most talks about all of them. The more dialogue the better in my mind.
The first couple levels were probably spartans fighting Insurrectionists before the Covenant find Reach. Probably what the covert boat mission was as well. Heard that they changed this idea because they wanted to "keep the fight against the covenant" thinking that it'd be less "heroic" if Spartans were killing human soldiers that were weaker then them.
ngl hate the unsc lore, they’re objectively aweful and i dont like setting where every side is shit people its just like then why am i bothering? fuck all these people
13:42 Well considering that the Spartans are under command of NAVCOM (Naval Command) (or if you wanna get more specific NAVSPECWARCOM before spartan operations was created.) and not UNICOM (Ground Command for the Army, Marines, & Air force). It makes perfect sense to me that spartans would use boats. Especially considering to my knowledge the UNSC Navy doesn't have Navy seals since they use Navy Detachments of UNSC Marines that are seperate from UNICOM.

A solid Scarab battle and that Siege engine would've really elevated the campaign.
I've always loved how the revenant looks like a 50s hot rod
15:20 Looks like a Hawk from Halo Wars.
guta as covenant mounts would explain why they're called "mule" in the game files, and why there are scrapped hooks for them being a firefight enemy
The Siege Engine just reinforces how lucky Chief is, he managed to avoid all encounters with it.
I sorta feel like the timeline you showed with storming the city would line up with acquiring your own Scarab. Maybe the Covenant would have taken over the city and not glass it and you'd have to Storm it with an army seperately or something?
Either way, super cool stuff here! 🧡
Man, I know that you're saying "Combat Evolved" but I can't help but hear "Comedy Vault" 🤣
Oh man I’m getting flamed for this 💀
@@XVII_RONIN Nah you good man.
It was a good watch though :)
I think the cut dialogue was a walk through to tell you about the new equipment added. Also the cut part of winter contingency sounds fun.
And the scarab par is interesting! Maybe a falcon fight with it...
The Wombat.... But combat.... Combat wombat..... It's.. It's a combat.
Ruby of Blue and his team are going to really enjoy the challenge of restoring all of this cut content for Halo Reach Rebalanced.
with how the armor is used in single player and firefight, they would have to add the parts to every single map and mission, befor the MCC it would requier them adding tags to every playable map and cutscene missions, if you recall with MCC, early on you had the smily on the armor, cause 343 couldent add all the emblem tags to the single player maps.
any armor add in halo 3, ODST, and reach at the time, would requier every single map edited for it wich explain why they dident had time while taking screenshots, since only the DLC map would have them, while other maps and single player wouldent.
Yes please halo CE cut content please
The Behemoth would have been super cool!
The Wombat IS a drone. That's just straight up the Wombat.
12:18 I so much prefer this than what ended up in the game
“Should we send out rescue birds?”
“Nah.”
Great vid, I always love a good Halo Reach video.
Drop pods use to scare me as a kid
Damn, we were so close to a scarab fight.
That killtrocity at the start was CLEAN
It was actually a jaro if ur talking about the start I just blurred it to get on with what u was talking about but thank u tho!
I think I remember some of these lines when playing MCC reach campaign.
Also I love carter's voice it sounds so cool
16:35 there's a video on TH-cam comparing the movie Aliens with Halo's cutscenes and all the scenes that are strikingly similar
Yo you forgot the cut LMG!!!
All of this cut dialogue implying such cool cut moments in the campaign, I wish they could be kept in
You forgot there is a cut helmet attachment for the deft helmet and it was only in the beta. It was a brim that went right on top of the visor, 343 actually added this attachment in halo infinite
Man that hawk on the helmet would’ve been awesome
When it comes to helmets too, If you managed to mod the game, you could actually put vast majority of helmet attachments on other helmets with little to no issues.
18:40 I can see a spartan driving a boat. I've done so in modded halo missions, it's worked
Will be pretty cool when the digsite crew starts digging into Reach cut content
I swear on the Reach Beta, there were some shoulders called “Scout” which looked similar to CQC, the scout version from halo 3
In all fairness, the movies Aliens and Starship Troopers were very heavy influences for all of Halo, but especially CE. (Something 343 forgot when they torched the lore.)
Hi! Cool Video! As another small youtuber its cool that this did so well it has way more views than you have subscribers have a nice day! :D
Great vid man
I think that the hold the line was a mission after tip of the spear before noble team get in the cave
Aquatic scarabs would be EPIC!
Imagine scarab rising out of water like that ship in dune part 1
I'm all the way into Halo Infinite to find out Slugs coulda been here the whole fucking time.
Also the armor lock /armor abilities dialogue was probably to help promote armor abilities. It is weird how detailed it is. & of course the one & only Kat who dies the most talks about all of them. The more dialogue the better in my mind.
Im so glad the GRD helmet was added into mcc. Love that helmet
theres fish on the sky scraper map, bottom floor. u can interact with them
What about the UNSC heavy machine gun? Only appeared as concept art but there are mods that add it to the game
The first couple levels were probably spartans fighting Insurrectionists before the Covenant find Reach. Probably what the covert boat mission was as well. Heard that they changed this idea because they wanted to "keep the fight against the covenant" thinking that it'd be less "heroic" if Spartans were killing human soldiers that were weaker then them.
ngl hate the unsc lore, they’re objectively aweful and i dont like setting where every side is shit people its just like then why am i bothering? fuck all these people
13:42
Well considering that the Spartans are under command of NAVCOM (Naval Command) (or if you wanna get more specific NAVSPECWARCOM before spartan operations was created.) and not UNICOM (Ground Command for the Army, Marines, & Air force). It makes perfect sense to me that spartans would use boats. Especially considering to my knowledge the UNSC Navy doesn't have Navy seals since they use Navy Detachments of UNSC Marines that are seperate from UNICOM.
