Rust repairs and Kyle on fire! What a great episode! 👏
There is always something to be gained from watching others work, great stuff!😊
Ahhh. One of those elites with their smoking jackets I have heard about.
Scintillating episode ! Two thumbs up. It had pirates and fire no less. This Carter guy knows more about rust than Alec Baldwin....(ohhh that was tasteless comment...did I really write that.....what's wrong with me....)
Hahaha tasteless comments are always welcome here!
I've been doing this type of work for almost 50 yrs this craftsman inspires me to keep on doing the impossible great job what a talent this man is
Thank you Lester!
Love the vintage smoking jacket. Thanks as always
Thanks, just trying to give the show an extra touch of class!
Kyle, even when you "fabricobble" it's a great job. Smokin' episode!
Thanks Eric!
Kongrats on 26K subscribers Kyle you deserve every one of them and more
Thank you!
The master is on fire 🔥
You got talent in rust repair
I hope I can get it figured out soon!
Apologies accepted. Dude, I really don't know what you saw in that cab. Fair dues to you on tackling a job of that magnitude. Makes for some interesting viewing.
You said something about being committed to your craft, I will agree in as far to say anyone that takes on the sort of projects that you do needs to be committed.
Ain't that the truth!
I love the sudden cat footage randomly thrown in your videos. Thanks again for sharing your talents.
Haha thanks, there would be no show without the cats
That opening gave me the giggles.
Glad you got a laugh out of it!
Awesome job, it takes a real passion for thim old trucks. To want to spend that much time and effort to save it. God bless
A nasty comment. Thanks for the videos. Be well and keep them coming !
Thanks! I appreciate the nasty comment haha
O:43 seconds in, and I can already anticipate that this smokin' video is gonna to be worth the price of admission..
Thanks Philip, I hope you got your moneys worth out of this one!
good to see you still doing the "easy" stuff....you might not realise it but you have solved a huge problem amateur restorers face when faced with a job of this magnitude...... just where exactly do you start or how to start the first cut,so well done.
thanks for your effort in doing the job and posting it for us wannabe metal workers
joe
number 1
Number two
Amazing to see that rusty mess getting cut, removed and replaced. Thanks.
I'm glad you enjoy watching!
stretching with a chisel edge is old school & completely legit
Crazy firestarter😂 don't let the insurance company see you😮😮
Your wrong there ... I enjoyed this one ... lots of tips and tricks ... lookin forward to part two ... 👍
Jeez you’re on fire again. Been a while- glad to see your fire fighting skills are still top notch
Feels like old times again
As much as I will never perform body repair at Kyle's level, I love the videos and it's nice to see someone who knows WTF they're doing with fitting, cutting, welding, planishing, stretching, shrinking, *AND* fashion.
Also: Nice work with that FUBAR rear cab mount. Super rusted and busted, that one was.
I have to agree! Especially the fashion part!🤣
I actually know nothing about the first six items on your list, but I'm so glad that my fashion expertise is finally being recognized!
But we should aspire to anyway.
You’re mad skills will make this truck come together nicely
I hope it comes together!
Part 2, part 2.......we'll all need part 2
Tune in next weekend for more!
One of your best videos someone working on one of these trucks will get a lot from it . Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I'd leave the speaker holes cause I like my music when I'm cruising and those holes are in the correct location for rear speakers in a pickup. As far as the floor and supports, you've done a really nice job. It don't get much more professional than what you've done. Thanks for taking me along on this journey to restore what others call junk. lol.
Very good job partner Jimmy Mack North Georgia USA
Thanks Jimmy!
@@CarterAutoRestyling thanks man I enjoy watching your videos I enjoy the antics and the funny way that you do your videos 🤣 really cool brother
Nice Lambo save...they are known for rusting, so lots of repair parts out there for 'em.
Thank you. You are an excellent teacher.
Hi Kyle, great video, am watching like a hawk because I ve got to fix my 78 Chev. Thanks and take care
Thanks! Good luck with the 78!
I enjoyed your welding, and watching the truck resume it's shape. Very educational. Thanks!
I always enjoy your content and the burning jacket never gets old
Nothing much new to say here- appreciate you will fix stuff someone else can’t, or won’t, and move it on down the line. Makes a car guy’s heart feel good to see . Way better than the damn crusher - the guys who run those have to be dead inside
They may be dead inside, but there's a lot more money in crushing them than fixing them....gets a lot more views on TH-cam too!
@@CarterAutoRestyling and that is terrible too- those viewers need psychiatric help…but then , who doesn’t I guess
thank you for the incredible fabrication because . . . . . i might have thought it was a cooking channel "with the big fire" and the hog cobblery , did have to pause the video for a pizza and a beer - if i wasn't out of popcorn it would have been a movie extravaganza ... ha ha (lighting the shirt on fire never gets old)
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
That was some fine cobbling with that cab. Now at least you are anchoring it down so it stays as square as it can be. Thanks for the tips.
Nice job! Thanks for your hard work producing this.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
So happy that you worked on that Studebaker and I subscribed. I enjoy channels that are informative yet have creators that have fun and aren’t under the gun like the cable channels, “Oh God, we have three days to get this to auction! What WILL we do?!”. 😂😂
Thanks! I'm looking forward to selling out and getting my own cable tv shown with manufactured drama. Haha
Nice work man 👍🏴
Great job, considering how rotten this truck was, you should be proud of saving a classic truck to pass on to someone else and lets get your channel more subscribers, good luck
How dare you waste my time by making me watch and learn how to manipulate metal and repair rust and dents. The audacity!
On a real note, thank you so much for another awesome video! It amazes me how much I learn every time you post a video. Thank you!
Haha thanks for giving me the chance to waste your time!
Hi Kyle. Love the Cat's in your videos. I still miss Molly something awful. You are the Man and I want to say thank you so much for all the great tips. I know from doing the restoration on my Mustang years ago, replacement body panels can be a pain to fit. When I saw the smoke coming out of your pocket, It took me back to the old days. Many was the time I would crawl out from under a Machine , batting and rolling on the ground to put myself out. : ) As Always I liked and shared. All my very best to you and yours and of course The Cat's : )
I hate rust, but I love watching people that know what they are doing to fabricate and install new metal. You make it look easy and that is dangerous to people like me!
I'm getting pretty tired of rust too! Thanks for watching!
I was a carpenter for 50 years and it amazes me how fast you can swing your hammer. I finally got my patreon bank card updated. I went with the VIP level because I'm cheating the other guy and passing the money on to you. Thank you for the awesome video. I learn on every one of them. The kids say howooool.
Thanks so much for cheating the other guy and passing the savings on to me! A lifetime of glue sniffing is the secret to fast hammer swings
ha ha ha!
I live in Indiana where we can still get the good stuff.@@CarterAutoRestyling
You can hammer as fast as you like with windows movie maker.
Nice work. Anyone that doesn't go insane using those patch panels should be rewarded in the afterlife. But somehow you got them all stuck together. Can't wait to see this project completed. Living in the dessert southwest US, I rarely get to see this type of perfect rust!!! lols.........you are so lucky!!!!!!
Sorry to hear you're missing out on all the rusty awesomeness! If you'd like I can scoop up all the rust and mail you a care package (shipping at your expense) haha
Another smokin' hot, action packed auto repair video! Good luck on this project, it's way worse than I imagined. Seeing that rear cab mount brought back some not so fond memories. Cheers! 😎👋🛻🏁🏁
Sorry for bringing back suppressed rust memories!
You sure do make it look easy
Big MeoW out for the mangle body work that turns amazingly perfect.. Good..
Meow indeed!
Nice to se I’m not the only one that enjoys working on old rusty junk. Here in Massachusetts it’s get harder to find stuff at a decent price to work on.
Your explanation of how and why you do the cutting out step by step is spot on. Many people would cut it all out blindly and then scratch their head trying to figure out how to get it back together, so a logical explanation should help clear it up for a few people if they listen. As for my opinion I think you’re doing a great job trying to show the right way it’s done keep up the good work, thanks for the videos, later
Thank you! I'm not sure if any of this is the right way, but it will hopefully get done!
It may not be the right way but if you can see it working for you then others will be able to see it too. If you think of the saying if you build it they will come, maybe not physically but to your way of thinking and understanding of how to do things
Couldn’t have stated this better!
Gee, Kyle, I am going to have to order me one of your inbuilt centrally heated jackets, you embellish. Have to wait until next year however as the Aussie summer is on it's way, with +40 deg C weather. Can I pre-order for our next winter here? As always I admire your work and decidedly warped, sense of humour. Your channel along with Fitzy and Yorkshire Car Restorations, are always what I search for on my subscriber list. Take care and keep the home fires burning!
The Brothers of Pyromania want to extend our sincerest thanks for setting yourself on fire for this posting. We will be voting on amending our charter to include self-immolation on TH-cam as extra credit for our members. Brilliant! 👀👍
It feels great to finally get some recognition from The Brothers of Pyromania
Good stuff Kyle! One piece at a time as Johnny Cash would sing, and before you know it, she's one solid piece. Looking good!!
Thanks Ken, hopefully when I'm done, the title won't weigh 60 pounds! Haha
Um yes you've totally done it all totally wrong !!! So now you can chop it up and ......... Great job Kyle , you make it almost look too easy , very very much better ! 😉🙃😎 NZ
Wow. Damn fine outro music. Searched and saved.
Great job Carter great videos
Thanks Larry!
Your jacket caught on fire was a classic lol. With working on these projects you have to develop a sense of humor otherwise you would have no fun at all. You definitely are an artist when it comes to replacing body panels and metal work. Thanks for a great information video and love your cats.
Thanks! You're right, things are pretty bleak most of the time so humor is essential
Excellent job as always
Thanks!
That's a really nice,,Lamborghini Geraldo Rivera,,you got there!
Hahah thanks!
If I watch for a few minutes I can say that those first two patch panels fit amazingly well. I had tons of patch panels that were absolute crap. yours are obviously on the better side.
Yeah the quality of patch panels for these trucks has actually improved over the years. 15 years ago on my other 66 the majority of the panels were "universal fit" garbage.
The truss I inherited from my Dad finally rusted almost thru. Thanks for sharing your techniques, now, thanks to what I've learned, and some new webbing made from seat belt webbing from a 74 Caprice Classic, it's as good as new for future generations with weak abdominal walls!
Fantastic!
Another great video! Very informative!
Hold my torch while I put out my jacket…..
Haha!
what a great program.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lamborghini finally figured out to downsize the wheels for a better ride, I see. Great installment as always! Cheers.
It's nice that they finally listened to the complaint letters I've been mailing them for years.
Excellent video Kyle wow keep up the quality work. I am 68 now my craft was wood working and I always did my best to do quality work. I also have done some body work but definitly not at your level 😊 I just finished my 1955 second series had to replace most of the floor and cab corners and much more. Thanks again God bless
Another great video, Kyle, your presentation skills are always improving. I also enjoyed your closing music. Really classes up the joint!
More amazing work Kyle. Thanks for sharing you experience.
Another great video. Thanks Kyle. I can't wait for the next one.
More to come!
I'm enjoying massive overhaul greatly. It make my junk seem pristine.
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
hot stuff
Another great video on how to bring an old rust bucket back and save some history. Kyle, you are a true master at what you do and it makes us untalented people feel like we could tackle the projects you undertake but sadly know we are lacking. Keep it up and I hope to see 100,000 subs soon. You deserve it.
Thanks Mike! Very kind of you to say!
Thanks again for a great video job well done😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it
You can tell Kyle is an intellectual, he's wearing a smoking jacket.
He is a proper aristocrat ,so much so that he disguised his smoking room as a panel shop.
I always enjoy your content the work you do and the burning jacket never gets old thanks 👍
Haha thanks!
You have shown that no matter how bad a motor car may be, there is always hope! I hope your vids inspire others to save 'em, not crush 'em. Thanks for another awesome vid!!
I hope it inspires others too!
This is a very good video. Again, I learned something. Can't complain! Thanks.
Glad to hear it!
Looks like you are doing a great job. Very inspirational.
Thank you!
That was a great episode😎
Another great video. I am so glad to see a young man still taking an interest in the old cars and trucks. We have the same trouble with rust here in Massachusetts. If not for people like you and me these old rusty clunkers would be no more.😎
I think he's older than he looks.
@@gymshoe8862 I think I'm older enough to be his daddy
Thanks, I'd say you folks out east have a lot worse rust than we do here!
Cool video 👍 I liked the technique you used on the patch you made for the floor
Man this thing is even rustier than my 62 was. Fun watching someone else sort out the aftermarket patch panels instead of me. Especially someone who is good at it. Nice work, again!
Haha yeah it's always more fun watching someone else suffer, especially if you've already been there and done that. I love the 60-63 trucks
I enjoy your work, even if you think I shouldn't.
Glad to hear that!
That's going to be a nice Lambo Pickem Up Truck.
Hey there! This is actually nice project to watch. I really like these kind of jobs too.
Nice to see that You also have a "street rod" angle grinder with no fender on it.
You're good. I like this, Thanks.
Thank you!
Content is very good. Wardrobe could use a larger budget however. That was a lot of patch stacking and welding. Wow. I thought the cube puzzles were tough. Dang. Very Good. Yep.
Ha! Smokin' Deal! I was thinking Kyle, since you blew your deal with the Body Filler Fat Cats you should market your own fragrance line. Essence of Smoldering Saskatchewan would be a big seller with bodymen everywhere! Don't get me going about a roll on body filler for one's armpits!😆
The research and development team likes your roll on armpit bondo idea!
The patch panels are made to fit a Chinese Chevrolet
Ahh that explains it!
Loving another video😊JR in Ontario
Love this build but then again my daily is a 64 C10 and I just scored a 60 Apache c30. Live in Alaska so our older trucks are in the same condition. Thanks for your knowledge and willingness to share
Sounds like you've got a couple of great old trucks! Thanks for watching!
Learn something with each of your videos.
Glad to hear that!
And Mom was worried that I'd cut myself with an Xacto knife on my models. Maybe Revell, Monogram or AMT should have come out with a 1/24 scale rust heap with repair patches. Assembled model that you have to take apart and install patch panels on.
I seem to recall that the Amt 1950 Chevy pickup kit comes with the cab corners molded separately for a more realistic kit building experience haha
😂🤣🤣
Yeah great Canadian humor and pretty good skills as well, keep it coming EH!
Thanks, will do!
Great show and you used one of my favorite words "Datum"! Duly not on the wax tip. Thanks
Another great video ! love the cats,🤪.
Kyle, whoever sold you this Lamborghini did not have your best interest at heart.
I'm starting to realize that now!
