It always amazes me how we spend hundreds of dollars on kittie toys and scratching posts and the kitties still go to the simple paper bag for playing and having fun !!
Watching that crushed fender lip unroll and slowly get worked back in to place like a missing puzzle piece was simply amazing. How can a video like this only get 30k views?
I know you, ( unlike 99.9% of other TH-camrs) put down your skills and joke about them, but,I have to say, what you do with bodywork, especially pieces like this, that most people would chuck on the scrap heap, is nothing short of genius, you are a genuine craftsman, and what you do is simply amazing, (and funny to boot) Brilliant😉👌👌👌👌👌👌
I learn so much from this channel but who would have thought that archaeology and story time would have been included. One thumbs up just doesn’t seem enough so I have generously included more. Don’t thank me, you’ve earned them. 👍👍👍👍👍
The effort you put in on that shark-bit corner starting around the 14 minute mark may be the most insistently I've ever seen you retain original, unsalvageable metal. Oddly satisfying to see you unravel that.
Truly a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC moment !! The study of earth as was in the millions of years ago. Bondo was a as natural as the clay is in the earth, I learned a lot so keep story telling ALIVE !!!
I really enjoy the real time footage. 40 minutes of it? Probably not. But I think you had a nice balance between real time & fast forward. Thanks for another great video.
I like the short stories, especially the ones where it's only funny till someone get's hurt then it's hilarious type. Always amazed at how you manage to make something usable from something that can only be seen as beyond repairable, that is, except for you.
I would not have believed it if I didn't see it. In the beginning I thought this was a joke. You work is amazing. Thanks for including a picture of my brain. Joseph and Mary get excited when the names come on because they know the boys are coming. Thank you for your time.
I'm one of those that likes to see Real Time. In fact, I would have liked to seen you go all the way & make that Fender Perfect! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the Video!
Yes please Kyle more Bodywork Storytime. I think you ought to do a scary version of Bodywork Campfire Storytime. One story in particular I would like to hear more of: The Pennsylvania Porcupine Technique that ate Pittsburgh!😆
Another great sound is when a high fly ball hits directly on the top of someones head, bounces like hell too. I used to play and when that happened to one of my buddies I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. Dropped him to the ground, that was almost 50 yrs. ago and I'm laughing right now.
I had been looking all over the internet for someone who had the skills and practical ability to demonstrate them. If you were working on a Yugo I’d watch. Keep up the great work and interesting content. Thank you.
Your Archeological research and documentation was impeccable! I think you might have missed your calling. Please continue on what ever path you chose to take and keep making your well produced videos. Thank you for the great lessons.
You have an exceptional eye and exceptional patience. I am impressed what you can do without Bondo. With a skim coat of Bondo, you would have perfection.
I watched and still can’t believe you transformed that wrinkled mess of metal into something better than passable. Appreciate your videos. They are unique on TH-cam.
Amazing young man!!! The world needs people like you who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and actually work for a living!!! Today every body wants to play with their phones and get paid for doing nothing!!! I respect you and I enjoy watching are real master at work my friend!!! Thanks for sharing bro!!!
Great work Kyle. When you were telling your story, what was going on in my head was…. “Geee Wallly, I been working real hard on this headlamp bucket for a long time. I think it’s some indestructible material. Hold my beer Beav…. Thawunk… Owww! Ward will you go see if the boys are alright? No honey their too stupid to get real hurt, besides I don’t want that to rub off on me.” Haha😅 that was a good one!!😂😂
Enjoyed body shop story time. Reminds me of cold cocking myself in the temple with a crow bar, not once but twice tightening the alternator belt on a square body truck. Still has not knocked any sense in me.
Amazing accomplishment. I initially thought the introduction of this fender was another of your fine pranks... but no, you actually fixed it! Good video by the way.
I think that most people, if they ever would get to the stage of 24:00, in that particular moment would start to mix Bondo. Great work, more than one could ever expect!
I swear this is a big 'ol Scamola! Admit it, you make these videos starting from a new fender and then beat them into crap and reverse the playback! Nice work Dr. Carter
You took me by surprise, I thought this was going to be your first video of properly applying Bondo. That fender looked unrepairable, you did an incredible job smoothing it out. Thank you for this great video.
More bodyshop stories!
Saw notification, clicked on video, hit "like'...
....and NOW to watch the recorded presentation....
Yep a thumbs up for Body Shop Story Time.
It always amazes me how we spend hundreds of dollars on kittie toys and scratching posts and the kitties still go to the simple paper bag for playing and having fun !!
Yeah the cats seem to be a lot smarter than we are haha
Vintage character is still there on this old fender, a job well done!
Thanks!
Watching that crushed fender lip unroll and slowly get worked back in to place like a missing puzzle piece was simply amazing. How can a video like this only get 30k views?
WOW!!! You’re so good at that!!!!!!!!!
You are a Master Metalsmith brother. The true Tinman.
Thank you!
I'm laying blame on Ancient Astronauts. You have a helluva skill set.
Yeah everything is the ancient astronauts fault!
Tony Robinson and the team would be so proud to see such a knowledgeable excavation .
Thank you, I was hoping it would live up to their expectations!
Permission to enter the trench ???
I know you, ( unlike 99.9% of other TH-camrs) put down your skills and joke about them, but,I have to say, what you do with bodywork, especially pieces like this, that most people would chuck on the scrap heap, is nothing short of genius, you are a genuine craftsman, and what you do is simply amazing,

Brilliant😉👌👌👌👌👌👌
Thank you!
No comment. Just one for the algorithm. Thanks for the good work and inspiration
The algorithm says thanks!
The bodyshop story was epic. The way you told it so deadpan you sounded like Red Green and adventures with bill.😀😀😀
Haha thanks!
Loving this cosmetic hack
Thanks!
A truly talented metal man and not a half bad comedian. Fender looks 100 times better.
Thanks!
I would most enjoy more body shop stories.
I learn so much from this channel but who would have thought that archaeology and story time would have been included. One thumbs up just doesn’t seem enough so I have generously included more. Don’t thank me, you’ve earned them. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks, it's much appreciated!
I am always amazed at what you can do. Thanks, cheers.
Thanks!
I love that fact that you're a "bodyman" and NOT a "mudman"
At least not on camera haha
Your resuscitation of that crusty corner was a marvel to behold.
Thank you!
Kyle very nice job looks great
The effort you put in on that shark-bit corner starting around the 14 minute mark may be the most insistently I've ever seen you retain original, unsalvageable metal.
Oddly satisfying to see you unravel that.
Haha! Thanks so much Phillip!!!
Who knew an old Chevrolet fender could have so much history attached to it. You have quite the discovery there Sir.
Truly a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC moment !! The study of earth as was in the millions of years ago. Bondo was a as natural as the clay is in the earth, I learned a lot so keep story telling ALIVE !!!
A save worthy of Bernie Parent!
Kyle you literally took trash and turned it into treasure. It looks great!
Thanks Brian!
I never knew I could laugh and learn at the same time.
The more you know! Haha
You've amazed me again. Thanks for another great video.
I really enjoy the real time footage. 40 minutes of it? Probably not. But I think you had a nice balance between real time & fast forward. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks Phil!
I think you're going to have to use your super powers on this one Batfink
Well if slathering on gallons of bondo is a superpower, then I'm all set!
The longer I looked at that fender images started to appear. I can see a piggly wiggly face, Alf, and a Starfish. Good work.
Yeah I saw Alf too! Haha
That’s years of nasty repairs.
Hamburglar wheel. Lol.
Man, you are a master at metalworking
I like the short stories, especially the ones where it's only funny till someone get's hurt then it's hilarious type. Always amazed at how you manage to make something usable from something that can only be seen as beyond repairable, that is, except for you.
Thanks Kenneth, it's always funny when it happens to somone else!
8track please.
Excellent job, Time Team would be proud.
He brought it back to life. It looks good.
I like that 77 Malibu you have.
Thanks!
The cat's are cool.
Body work . ..😐 awesome !
I've never seen a metal panel that damaged turn out so well. Kudos, much skill on your part.
Love your bodyshop memories stories
Glad you enjoyed it!
I do love your sense of humour, makes me laugh, keep up.the good work. 👍
I'm glad you get a laugh out of this stuff!
I would have thought that fender was hopeless, well done sir.
I would not have believed it if I didn't see it. In the beginning I thought this was a joke. You work is amazing. Thanks for including a picture of my brain. Joseph and Mary get excited when the names come on because they know the boys are coming. Thank you for your time.
It is a joke! Allan and Poe say hi to Joseph and Mary!
Shock and Awe😯 Amazing!
I'm one of those that likes to see Real Time. In fact, I would have liked to seen you go all the way & make that Fender Perfect! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the Video!
I’m a story guy. The world needs more good story’s.
It sure does! Haha
Absolutely need more bodyshop story time.
You did a great job fixing that really badly damaged fender.
The time team would be proud of you Kyle.
Thanks John! I was worried that they would think my methods were a little too invasive
Really appreciate your work
Thanks for your sarcasm👋🤠👍
You're welcome!
Yes please Kyle more Bodywork Storytime. I think you ought to do a scary version of Bodywork Campfire Storytime. One story in particular I would like to hear more of: The Pennsylvania Porcupine Technique that ate Pittsburgh!😆
Craftsmanship! Thanks. ~~~~~~~~ The house assistants are very attractive also.
Love the Time Team reference in the beginning of the video. That is a great series and that fender was a historical site! LOL🤣
Thanks haha! Time Team is a fantastic show!
@@CarterAutoRestyling it is a great show.
Thanks!
Thank you Scott!
You are amazing.
Add even more Bondo to give future archaeologists something to discover!
My thoughts exactly!
Excellent work Sir!
Haha the thought of that made me laugh too!
I am amazed how you can switch hands with that hammer so effortlessly. You must be amphibious!
Haha must be!
I had been looking all over the internet for someone who had the skills and practical ability to demonstrate them. If you were working on a Yugo I’d watch. Keep up the great work and interesting content. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Time Team and auto body metal work, what a glorious union!
Who would have thought they would go together so well!
It looks like the Master has been watching alot of Time team... but still has the golden touch.... great work....
It's a great show! Thanks!
From the Moon’s surface, to mirror-ish finish, in record time, or time lapse-ish, a great job, I say! Good show ! Keep on truckin’
Thank you Ken!
Legend! More stories 😆👍🏼
What an amazing repair you did there, your patience is second to none.
Good job on the fender.
I watched and still can’t believe you transformed that wrinkled mess of metal into something better than passable. Appreciate your videos. They are unique on TH-cam.
Thanks!
That definitely looked like more work then that fender was worth. Keep up the great work.
Thanks, I definitely should have just bought a new one!
Amazing talent! Your sense of humor is almost as good as your metal work, Thank You!
Thanks John!
Yes I can always enjoy a good story time thanks 😊
Beautiful job on that fender
Kyle your fender now looks better than my Fender guitar 🎸!
Mysterious lol😅
That is nothing short of a very good working the panel back to as new.
Thanks! Being paid for doing nothing does sound appealing!
You're a freaking body panel savant, a whisperer of rusty metal.
Thanks!
Wow, from moonscape to silky smooth.
Great work Kyle. When you were telling your story, what was going on in my head was….
“Geee Wallly, I been working real hard on this headlamp bucket for a long time. I think it’s some indestructible
material. Hold my beer Beav…. Thawunk… Owww! Ward will you go see if the boys are alright? No honey
their too stupid to get real hurt, besides I don’t want that to rub off on me.”
Haha😅 that was a good one!!😂😂
Haha, what was going on in your head is pretty accurate to real life!
You are proof that with determination and competence, you can accomplish the seemingly impossible.
Thanks, although determination and incompetence is more accurate haha
You sir are the Robert Ballard of the automobile
Haha thank you Chris!
Enjoyed body shop story time. Reminds me of cold cocking myself in the temple with a crow bar, not once but twice tightening the alternator belt on a square body truck. Still has not knocked any sense in me.
Haha I hear ya, it's always a good day when you can injure yourself multiple times doing the same thing
You amaze me when you make a fener look that good,
Amazing accomplishment. I initially thought the introduction of this fender was another of your fine pranks... but no, you actually fixed it! Good video by the way.
Yeah it was a prank gone wrong!
Thanks for the history channel documentary! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
13.5k subscribers. Still growing. Awesome. The surface of that fender reminds me of old ladies in shorts.
Hahah gross!
Your awesome 👌 👏
Great save on the ratty fender! Great hammer between the eyes story!
My comment is just one word - Amazing.
Thanks!
Bravo!! I loved the English wheel but lol😂 makes anyone look like an expert! Including us!
Thanks, although I'm pretty convinced that you actually are an expert!
@@CarterAutoRestyling hahahaha see I even have you fooled!
I'm impressed with your patience and skill. The results speak for themselves. Nice job.
You tackle fenders ,that most would replace,,,much respect!!!
Turned out great!
Kyle love your magic show making junk turn into something beautiful. just amazing and spell bounding to watch A+++ video entertainment
Thank you!
😅😅 , thanks for showing your skills
💥BEYOND FENDER DOM 💥 i thought mel gibson and tina turner would show up or maybe Indiana Jones
Indiana Jones was set to have a small cameo, but we had a scheduling conflict when my private jet got a flat tire in Burma
I think that most people, if they ever would get to the stage of 24:00, in that particular moment would start to mix Bondo. Great work, more than one could ever expect!
Yeah if I wasn't filming I'd probably do the same with the bondo haha
I swear this is a big 'ol Scamola! Admit it, you make these videos starting from a new fender and then beat them into crap and reverse the playback! Nice work Dr. Carter
Haha you got me! Guilty as charged
Very nice repair. What a mangled mess when you started. Cheers from Michigan
You took me by surprise, I thought this was going to be your first video of properly applying Bondo. That fender looked unrepairable, you did an incredible job smoothing it out. Thank you for this great video.
Thanks, I'll stay away from making the properly applied bondo videos as that's a pretty controversial subject.
