Hi Lucie, I’m a year behind you, glad you enjoy the content! Bought my first old hulk at age 13, (1958 Edsel Villager Station Wagon) and never stopped wrenching on old cars. Bless you!
This was an absolute joy to watch. The classical music really underscores the drama. I’d love to see this expand to a second channel. Perhaps you could call it “Dances with Trolls”???
As for any recent derogatory comments, now we know who's been paying attention. Looks like you salvaged a lot of good heavy guage pre-formed steel while also keeping the necessary materials for further work on the Chicken Truck to me.
I don't know what was more fun, reading all of the typographical errors in the Trolls' comments (its "You're" for Gawds sake) or trying to think of dry Kyle comments he may have been thinking when putting this together along with the best voice immitation my brain could muster. Oh, and lets call this one "Ode to the cutting disk".
What! You don't think he could do it in an hour long episode. Ha ha love to have that roof skin. We use 70's roof skins here to do door skins for 34's up
This is one of my favorites. It's amazing how many illiterate "experts" show up to tell you that you're doing everything wrong and that YOU are the dumb ass, while demonstrating their own ignorance! It's obvious that a lot of viewers have not been paying attention to your plans for the chicken truck project. I laughed my ass off reading some of those negative comments! I laughed especially hard when I saw that clip of Scott's dog in response to the dog hater. LOL! 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm reminded of an old saying: Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one and they all stink. Full speed ahead, Kyle and thanks for sharing. 😃
The idiot troll haters don't even realize he bought it for parts . On top of that the engine was locked up when he got it and now it will run for the truck project .
Ingredients: Majestic, therapeutic, cleansing, poetic and gratifying. Stir with bravado and apply liberally. Guaranteed 100% to dissolve trolls instantly. I like the way you think, Sir.
There is only one guy that in my opinion creates some hideous car creations and that guy is Bad Chad. Some are truly hideous, others like the Bugatti replica are auperb. I wouldn't have put you in the hideous league of car creations. A lot of armchair welder car designer trolls on YT.
When you started this I was so happy as I have never seen how this was done. Over the years I've thought about the geometry and how folks got around all of that & the glass work. I was so happy to see you go into all the ins and outs. I wish I'd said all the good things in that 1st video so you may have not felt so bad. I was deeply impressed by your skill and the time you were taking. I have several old British cars (Jaguar E-Type, Austin Healey, Triumphs and such) and a 1957 GMC 100 that I love. I never do heavy metal work like you and I truly was impressed and had zero ill feelings and any part of what you did. I am watching you on the top of the truck now that you're making round again. As far as I am concerned, and I in the trenches with you on the old cars, I think the work you do is great. I have heard other TH-cam guys like Eric O say that welding gets lots of negative comments and when it comes to welding I am about the worst as I seldom do it. Anyway keep up the good work and don't let the naysaying bastards get you down. Most times they have nothing but mommas basement and Windows 10. Bobby
I don’t think I’m old enough to watch this sort of thing. It’s like a snuff film for cars. The most interesting part of this is he is more than capable of repairing everything he did and erasing any evidence it ever happened.
Fascinating deconstruction of a car clearly too far gone to save. Seeing the extensive rot at the 23:00 mark in the video confirms this thing is nothing more than a donor for the chicken truck build. Still subscribed and awaiting the next action packed video!
It's crazy how many people leave bad comments from their lounge chairs. Your the only true old fashioned body metal guys on TH-cam. Besides the tig welder , you do everything like my grandfather and great grandfather did. It's a lost art. Thanks for keeping it alive. Your also a true artist.
Wow, I'm stunned by the really mean spirit of these people. They all think your a waste of time, but I noted some of them made numerous comments over many months, seems to me that if they don't like your work ,they should find another youtube channel. I'm 75 and this old dog has learned a lot and amazed with your metal working skills. Try to disregard their opinions, like assholes, everyone has got one. It's a quirk of genetics and environment that a perfectly good sphincter can grow a perfect asshole.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these comments were coming from a competing channel. Who would take the time to do this? I won’t share my guess. Many of the comments were so similar in writing style that it is likely to be the same person, using different names.
Not many people can use the TIG welder like you do to keep metal from warping and finish the weld in a time efficient way. This video was very gratifying. Your method of disassembly is very unique.
This video is the perfect example of the genius of Kyle Carter. The goofball with the Pearl Harbor comment had me rolling. Well done Kyle, give Edgar, Allan and Poe a pet from me.
I loved how you shared a lot of the keyboard critics comments most of which probably never built anything or anything custom. Keep up the good work! Also I am glad you saved the waterfall trim from the hood.
What a wonderful job of reducing a 53 Pontiac to the parts you can use in the advancement of the Chicken truck project. Along with just enough cat content and sparkling commentary. Reminded me of watching Buster Keaton in my youth.
You Rock! I knew what you were up to the whole time because I watch your videos every week and understand your weird sense of humor. I could tell how delicate you were being with certain panels as you harvested parts from the clapped out Pontiac for the Chicken Truck like you said you were many videos ago. These fly by night armchair body men cant hold a candle to your metal working skills. I own a classic car restoration shop and understand what it takes... you are a master metal man. Keep lighting the trolls' hair on fire!
Some of those comments were hilarious. The spelling and grammar mistakes are a clear indication of the intelligence level. As you were hacking and chopping, I was thinking of pieces for the chicken truck. Keep up with what you're doing.
Ha me too. Sometimes that happens when you are comfortable with who you are and don't need to try to impress strangers with fancy clothes or cars or whatever
@CarterAutoRestyling, i understand your clothes looking like a homeless person lol. When you take a car apart, and then do body work, it destroys your clothes, and if you don't cover your hair, it will be all dried out and full of whatever you've been grinding, sanding, or painting. I live in Michigan, and when it's cold, i don't have much heat. The damn sleeves get all tore up on sheet metal along with everything else. I have stuff i wear only when working on my 54 m38a1 jeep, because otherwise all my clothes would be tore up, and I'd be looking homeless all the time. You had a long sleeve shirt on in a couple video's that the sleeves were all tore up, and i could relate. If you wear short sleeves while grinding off paint and rust or body filler, your skin changes color, so i have certain stuff i wear just for that. The way you dismantled that car was interesting, it actually looked planned, like it could be reassembled, fixing all the hidden rust between the panel's. I'm 53, and the comment about all the younger generation not caring about history, and some other bs wasn't right. I know a lot of younger people working on old car's, interested in the past, not all young people live on a video game system. As a lady, I've taken a lot of crap for working on car's, and building stuff over the year's, but i don't give a crap what other people think about it, because my dad and grandpa taught me a lot growing up, and i just like it. You do have to not give a crap when people ask you if you are gay because you can fix car's, and ran a cemetery. You are all right Kyle, just keep doing you. G-d bless.
...next week on... VILE KYLE! Wouldnt it be hilarious to have either Tony(Fitzee) or Brent(Halfass) dress scantily and walk around the shop doing selfies like a princess!?!? 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, do you have a Dunning-Kruger effect filter setting on your youtube app to list all those comments? I particularly liked the one that chagrinned you about welding all one way at once wit no back stepping or wet rag or air cooling blah blah blah and this is a $10 hour helper etc. He thinks he is defying physics with his suggestions from his "Bro laws of welding". All of the top pro's tig the whole seam in one hit when there is access behind for a dolly. Keep doing your gig dude. Your content is among the best for showing how it's done properly with some theatre thrown in.
1954 Pontiac four door sedan a classic ? I'm an old man they were shit when they were new. All the GM cars had overhead valve engines Pontiac had a flat head, the whole drive train was out of the thirties, a young man wouldn't be caught dead in one, they were not chick magnets. So shame one you dragging that rusty pile of junk out of the swamp and recycling it, one of your critics could make a beautiful classic piece of shit out of if it. Young people don't know that old cars and trucks had much thicker metal then they do now, so what Kyle is showing us is how to work on old cars.Back then the body men could pound out dents and leading was how the imperfections were finished, Kyle is showing how to work on old cars. leading is a lost art and how he wields is metal finishing not putting 1/2 inch of mud on poorly finished metal.New cars sheet metal is very thin I think leading an new car might be impossible, thats why on new cars when there is body damage panels are replaced not pounded out. I enjoy Kyles sense of humor and his expertise I'm glad I found his channel! .
For the last few days I have been looking for your latest video and here it is! It didn't disapoint. I wanted to check out all the peoples TH-cam channels on here that are telling you you're doing it all wrong, but I couldn't find their channels. I guess they keep their awesome abilities secret and not to be viewed by us mere mortals. Anyhow thanks for the help on my question about the rust on a inner fender well. I had no idea that wax for that even existed before you told me about it. Seems it would work even on painted inner fenderwells too. Thanks for the tips and including the kitty's in the videos. They are awesome!
I love your channel more than anything else on the internet. Unfortunately for you, your content involves welding, which is 100% guaranteed to fire up a comment section. Doing welding on YT is like jumping out of the trench into machine gun fire and I respect your f-all attitude, which is definitely required for this. I have an old truck, and I don't think I could handle the amount of work it requires without your videos. I owe you. Check is in the mail.
That was awesome. Bless the trolls for their valuable insights. And the preservationists for their furor over the destruction of such a “pristine “ example of a vehicle that no one would ever restore. Keep it up, Sir, and I’ll keep watching!
I had a friend cut his whole van into under 2 foot steel to get a better scrap price. A week later he had more in sawzall blades than the scrap was worth. I don't know what that means but you made me think of him.
@@CarterAutoRestyling Sometimes when I see videos of people using a lot of zip wheels, I wonder why they don't use a plasma cutter when they have one ? Don't pay any attention to the haters, they are just stupid !!! I consider your skills to be equal to Scott's at Cold War Motors, and that's a very big compliment...Keep up the good work.
A buddy and I pulled the 390 out of a ‘67 Galaxie convertible to put in an Edsel drag car. We gave the rest of the hulk to our friend to cut up for scrap. Haha, take that!
Personally, I really liked your chopped Pontiac, Looked mean. But, the chicken truck waits for no man. Bondo is the standard of the industry, No respect for history. I don't know how all you guys on youtube do it with all the armchair, welders, body men, and mechanics. Ill keep watching, go for it.
As for any arseholes giving you a hard time, just politely ask them for a link to their channel, so you will be able to learn how to do things better in the future, though there is very little chance that they have ever produced any content themselves.
This video just reminded me that I need to go to CDN Tire to get more cutting discs. Used my last one wrecking the shiz out of some rusted on shocks on my truck. Hurrah for cutting discs and reciprocating saws. I love the way you hurt the feelings of suck a tits. Most notable being tc bridges.
just so you know, i`ve learned so much from this channel, yours, Fitzee, Make it Kustom, Cold War motors among others. I be no where near as far along if it wasn’t for guys like you. Would love to hear what people would have to say about my projects, and i`m no where near half as skilled as you. Most of those rude comments from arm-chair body men who’ve never welded anything other than their ass to a chair proves to me that they sure are smrt. I did get to sawzall a 58 Pontiac this spring, got what i needed, and tossed the rest into my scrap heap. Not sure if it was fun, but it was satisfying. I did see one thing that was sad once. A guy near me bought a car crusher, and his ad for his service he was offering showed a crushed 54 Chevy. Complete. I messaged him and offered 1500$ for the grille, front bumper, hood and a few other parts. If they were not damaged. That was a crying shame. Crushing it to make $100. Love the channel, keep doing wat you’re doing, get back to work on the 36 Chevy truck.
For some reason, this reminded me of my time on the railroad. One of my responsibilities was cleaning up a derailment site. This particular site was deep in the woods, very narrow and inaccessible by road. one car that derailed held new Cadillac's and one had popped out the loading doors with minor damage. For those who may not know, the railroad self insures the cargo and even the value of a new Cadillac is minuscule compared to even a minute of train delays. The order came down to clear the track and this Cadillac was in the way. The keys were in the ignition and the car started up and ran beautifully. The radio came on and played music beautifully. The excavator operator said, "Well, let's do this to music". So, with the engine purring and the radio turned up high, he wadded that Cadillac into a ball and pushed it into the woods. The trains must proceed on schedule!
I've always thought hacking up an old car would fun and now that I know it pisses so many people off I think I'll start a TH-cam channel dedicated to just that. Thanks for the inspiration. Your the man.
I just watched this again and wanted to say one more time, you are the best body man on youtube. There are allot of haters in the world, and they are driven by jealousy. In the music world, the guys who have the shiniest guitars, loudest amplifiers, and know the name of every chord, are usually the guys who cannot even play a single song. They hate the guy who can make the ugliest guitar sound beautiful (without even trying). The guys who leave the negative comments probably have the biggest shops, the fanciest tools, years of training, but no talent. Money cannot buy what you have. Keep doing what you are doing (including your comedy), your channel is growing for a reason, (because it's good).
The comments were a little hard to take, I must confess, I did laugh at the Homeless one. I guess if your pissing off the haters, you are doing something right. I will be a supporter by next week. I paid off CRA. I got Audited. Oh well. Love the channel and willing to contribute.
It was an exercise in how to chop a top on a rust bucket 4dr Pontiac. Not worth restoring. Don't let the trolls get to you. The car is not rare and with all the parts that were missing and the metal work it needed it would have cost more to restore than what it was worth. Most of them that comment negatively more than likely can't screw in a light bulb let alone weld and fabricate with minimal tools. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos.
In this episode our friend Kyle channels his inner Whistlin Diesel. Butchery, Debauchery, Metal Mayhem, Dastardly Destruction for the triggered, do nothing, couch constructors!
Do you known who the real " *loosers* " are? People stuck on hooked on phonics, who spell " *_LOSER_* ", " *looser* ", unless they are saying something about something not being as tight as it once was. How can I accept criticism from that type of mindset, suffering from arrogant ignorance?
Don't let the keyboy cowboys get to ya . I knew exactly what was going on . Should have enough sheet metal now for the truck and easier to haul away whats left . Thanks for the vid ....
Shocking that some people just want to criticize a master craftsman at his most creative moments. You and your cats are rare genius performers and experts in your professions. However, the cats seem much more relaxed and content in their perspective roles.
Meanwhile im out in my barn blowing holes through sheetmetal with my 110 fluxcore mig. This "hack" warps the f out of a roof with a tig torch, then masterfully taps it into the perfect shape/crown. Truly amazing skills
Not to brag but I think I've got ya beat. Back in 1970 I took apart a running and driving 55 Victoria with nothing but an axe to make a dune buggy and transported the entire body in pieces to the scrap yard in the trunk of a 65 Malibu coupe. LOL. Great minds think alike.
Kyle, you did what I have wanted to do to a few projects but I was thinking gasoline and a match. If the people who had the negative comments would step up and save an old car that would be great. Probably just need someone to bitch at. I also just watched you wrenching on tour old Chevy sedan. Probably get some crap over that. I was EXCITED to hear you are getting back on the chicken truck. Best Ray J.
At first I thought you really let them get to you. Then I remembered all the times you said you were doing this just for fun, and this car would never see the road again. Anyway, I like your shows and will keep watching you ruin classic cars. Aint none of them clown commenters who would or could ever restore that car, they just sit on their ass and whine.
That was very satisfying! I did look up some of those names of the commenters to see if they were creators themselves. I found two before I got bored, both tiny channels. I wouldn't worry about the 'name - 4 digit' ones. They don't even have enough imagination to change the default username so not sure they are qualified to comment on, well, anything. When are the jackets going to be available in your store?
@@CarterAutoRestyling I'd be in for that. If I won I would proudly display it on my shed wall. Or walls I imagine given the state of the jacket! A piece here, a piece there...
Loved every minute of it. Thanks for keeping it old-school, SCTV style. Superb delivery/timing/atmosphere. You've been making comedic jazz this whole time. Thanks for publishing something that challenges the status quo. Bigger fan
That was fun. I really enjoyed the music. Please do another. I'm up for anything to antagonize those on you tube that feel it necessary to tell someone they are doing it wrong. I made my living in a bodyshop for over 40 years. Your skills are legit. Anyone that says different is a fool

@@AlanG58 Good point.
Yeah lots of bondo
If he'd bought BC's double-decker he could've had a Turkey Truck too!
Well said
59 here and amazed everytime i turn to Kyles channel. Best stuff right here at Carters auto restyling
I have a jacket just like that. My favorite one.
You are a genius.
RUDE COMMENT. If this is the action we get from rude comments, I should have started making them a long time ago. 😁
Definitely! Sometimes, a little negative reinforcement can go a long way!

Best troll feeding video ever
He definitely triggered a few with this one
And allthe people said AMEN. He fried the trolls well. Bye the bye, fried troll goes well with humble pie and warm crow.
Finally! TH-camr that enjoys what they do and tells the world where they can stick their negative comments! Great work man!
People are stupid!! Dude you are doing great. To me you showing people how to do great work with minimal tools. To me that's amazing.
How dare you destroy all those rare classic cutting disks just to cut up that piece of shit Pontiac! Cats rule.
A+ on troll sniping, A+ on chichen truck plans, and B+ on kitteh content. I had to wait through an entire video for kittehs.
You gotta admit, the homeless one was on point 😂
Oh yeah, I don't even disagree with a lot of the comments hahaha
Ha me too. Sometimes that happens when you are comfortable with who you are and don't need to try to impress strangers with fancy clothes or cars or whatever
A new jacket every 5 years seems like it should be in the budget somewhere 😂
G-d bless.
Homeless yeah, It isn't even rare nowadays.
Tune in next week as Tripod Trixie is going to weld it all back together IN A THONG😃
Hahahahahahahaha
...next week on...
Your content is among the best for showing how it's done properly with some theatre thrown in.
not all old cars are classics. Some are just old cars. I drive a rusty old 1950 Dodge Coronet, so I should Know!
Young people don't know that old cars and trucks had much thicker metal then they do now, so what Kyle is showing us is how to work on old cars.Back then the body men could pound out dents and leading was how the imperfections were finished,
Kyle is showing how to work on old cars. leading is a lost art and how he wields is metal finishing not putting 1/2 inch of mud on poorly finished metal.New cars sheet metal is very thin I think leading an new car might be impossible, thats why on new cars when there is body damage panels are replaced not pounded out.
KYLE i love your channel every show teaches me a lot and i'm 70 years old.besides it will take a while to weld that back together as a GTO.
Ur the man Mr. Carter. Those idiots wouldnt know a good metal man if they tripped over it.
Haha yeah I went through $40 in zip wheels and sawzall blades and got $28.00 in scrap. Totally worth it though!
I like your videos exactly the way you make them. If someone doesn't like the content, they should just not watch.
Constantly amazed at the quality of work you do with lots of skill and a few tools. Love your sense of humor.
Those shocks were a part of automotive history.
@@david929190 Now they can become rebar.
just so you know, i`ve learned so much from this channel, yours, Fitzee, Make it Kustom, Cold War motors among others.
I found this video so soothing and relaxing , love baroque music.
Yep it’s rotten just like you said in a previous video, do these viewers not listen? Keep up the great body work, I wish I had that much talent.
Hahaha that's awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I've always thought hacking up an old car would fun and now that I know it pisses so many people off I think I'll start a TH-cam channel dedicated to just that. Thanks for the inspiration. Your the man.
Haha right on, go for it!
Funny how people mistake a cat video channel for something else. Lol
The homeless dress far better
It was an exercise in how to chop a top on a rust bucket 4dr Pontiac. Not worth restoring. Don't let the trolls get to you. The car is not rare and with all the parts that were missing and the metal work it needed it would have cost more to restore than what it was worth. Most of them that comment negatively more than likely can't screw in a light bulb let alone weld and fabricate with minimal tools. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos.
The car will become part of the chicken truck build. That's why he bought the car in the first place.
Screw those people. Your car, your channel. They don’t have to watch
Kyle. Never take an idiot with you. There will always be one when you get there...
I love watching an artist at work.
Haha that's awesome!
It’s OK people. This vehicle checked the organ donor box.
Now that's funny.
And some people still won't get it. :)
What a hoot! You're taking the term "trigger" to a whole new level! Bravo!
Thanks!
Wow thanks! That's very kind of you!
Keyboard commandos are the worst.
If you play this video backwards, it looks like he’s building a car!
Hell yeah !! Thanks for another , Brother !!
Best
Ray J.
I was actually digging the chop on that old 4 door, lol even though I knew it was bought for the rear panels etc for the chook truck
Just realized this is an auto body repair channel. All this time I was thinking Kyle was some kind of weird Prop Comic.
I bet good money you will get hate mail telling you "you didn't stack the parts in the truck properly and I would have done a better..........."
You're my hero, keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
I'll be doing a jacket giveaway at 50,000 subscribers!
@@CarterAutoRestyling I'd be in for that. If I won I would proudly display it on my shed wall. Or walls I imagine given the state of the jacket! A piece here, a piece there...

I'm sure many will not recognize that you harvested all the good stuff off that Pontiac. Good job.
