Can we just take a moment (or several) to appreciate how Jaron is able to recreate the hardest parts of these vocally challenging songs like they're nothing? Bravo!
He’s fun to watch cuz he loves what he does and when he gets excited it gets me excited until I try and sing then it reminds me why I watch! He should take one of us and see if he can handle it😂😂😂
Lisa is incredible! She was in a documentary called 20 feet from stardom where she states that being in the forefront was too much for her. She prefers being a background singer.
I met Lisa too. Such a divinely sweet and soulful presence. I’ve followed her on social media a bit. My instinct (not based on anything she has expressed directly) is that the fakeness of The Industry, its extreme demands on the psyche of women singers who are expected to be perfectly skinny, beautiful, and sexual wasn’t something she wanted to carry alone. She adored Luther and being a part of his background vocalists. She loved the work, and learned tons from Luther on how to perform and captivate a crowd with your talent and artistry, with elegance and class. She did her Rolling Stones solos for 20 years, where she was the female foil to rocker Mick Jagger, where she displayed lots of wild and raw sex appeal. And then she went back for the background when it was over. I think she retained as much of her authentic self as she could … Now she is solo and she can be Bohemian, focus on her artistry, and not be worried about her age or her weight. And I’m so here for it 🤌🏾🤌🏾
Exactly! She has the whistle tone ability of a Mariah Carey/Ariana Grande with the richness of a Whitney Houston/Patti Labelle! Indeed, she is the total package and for this reason is my favorite singer!

So glad you chose to do Lisa Fischer.....you read my mind. I had been wanting for weeks for you to do a video analyzing her out of this world vocal skill.... She is truly in my opinion a freak of vocal nature even today. I love and am completely blown away every time I hear the sounds of music coming out of her. One of my favorites of all time. She's definitely a force of nature as well. Beautiful!!! Thank you !!!! I wish you can do one on Lisa in present time and how she manipulates 2 microphones to create such amazing sound and atmosphere.....she reaches the stratospheres. 🥰🙌🏽🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wait a minute. Now how can he do that type of critique, sing like Lisa, and then sing Bach on the side. He did THE most. And then there’s Lisa, another vocal beast. This was all too much☠️
I get chills every time I hear Lisa deliver this song and hit that one note like it's nothing. I love how you compared it to a whistle, but it's still in the realm of voice.
I remember her from singing background for Luther Vandross. And I thought...WOW..she is absolutely amazing. I often heard about how picky Luther could be and how he didn't play about his music. He only wanted the best of the best on tour with him and he didn't disappoint having Ms Fischer on board. Lisa, by far, is the only one that could match Luther's vocals. Together, their performances were second to none.
The differences between this and the original recording shows the mastery of her voice. The slight changes of what she did in studio and this live version....amazing
i just love listening to discussions about vocal techniques. analyzing how she's using precision, placement, air release, vowel sounds, phrasing, texture, placement, vocal folds, diphthongs, vocal stops, vocal studies.. ah! you even talked about her torso alignment! just so much knowledge about the art of singing. thank you your sharing your gift! this absolutely fascinating to me.
