    I just had 2 negative experieinces with e-bikes lately-planning on getting a 50cc next year. I doubt this bike can take the rain.

    The best in my opinion is the other model from that brand, the Niu NQI GTS

    Good review. I own this exact scooter. It is not a moped a moped has peddles and a motor like the name mo-ped motor + peddles = moped. I had a few issues with mine battery drain it has been a week at my dealer waiting for warranty approval to replace BMS. Unfortunately all repairs have to be done with dealer unless you are mechanically inclined and can find parts that mostly can only be obtained in Europe. NIU customer support is useless since they always respond saying take it to your dealer. All in all I am happy with it less than 900 miles and September will be a year since purchase. I am having electrical issues that hopefully will be addressed soon. Still at dealer as writing this comment. As far as the app. Notifications are up to an hour late in receiving NIU says take to dealer, dealer says can't fix notification issues. As nice as this cooter is, I would not recommend until more user friendly parts are available and maybe more dealers with the ability to repair. I hope this comment helps those that are considering this scooter. 3 years or longer for cell plan since NIU has not figured out how to continue cell plan after 3 years for the customer to continue and pay for.

      Shame. Had the same bike since October & over 1,000 miles & not a single problem/ issue with it. Love it!

      buy a honda ruckus or yamaha zuma.
      more efficient, faster, way cheaper since they can be had used, and much less likely to roast your nuts.

    Man... These are so expensive in US compared to in China. You can this bike for literally less than half that price and assuming that's before tax.

    Isn't this actually a scooter since a moped has pedals like a bicycle?

    • @andythorn3099
      @andythorn3099 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends where you live. In the UK a moped is a classification, not a description. So anything that's 50cc or equivalent and limited to 28mph is a moped, regardless of if it has pedals or not

    • @wyckedknight
      @wyckedknight ปีที่แล้ว

      @andythorn3099 It's the same here in California as well. However they classify any motorized cycle that has pedals like a bicycle a moped.

    • @TheFreshPeddler
      @TheFreshPeddler ปีที่แล้ว

      demonocus - you mean you have to take it into stores with you because you dont trust leaving it locked outside for more than 5 minutes.
      the big scooter is far better during the day for leaving outside but the standing scooter can more easily be brought in at night for some people, be carried in a car, ride on sidewalk and get away with other things a big scooter cannot.

    They retail for around $3,399.00 now thanks to their popularity and inflation.

      scott - not thanks to inflation but thanks to the assholes doing their best to trigger it.

    I have the MQi GT EVO. It's without a doubt the worst quality scooter I've ever had.
    -Suddenly cuts power to engine
    -Sensor alarms triggers randomly disturbing neighbors
    -steering violently shakes when driving
    -Battery useless going under 25%
    -makes a notice for everything, disturbing everyone.

    I have 45 MPH streets where I live. This electric moped is too slow and underpowered for my needs.

    • @rabbieburns2501
      @rabbieburns2501 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, only problem i've had is that I wish it would be 40mph minimum, otherwise love the thing!

    • @r.d.9399
      @r.d.9399 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're definitely overpriced at the moment. The moped market needs more competition.

    • @darkmanx2g
      @darkmanx2g ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats what the law requires. Mopeds can only be 30 mph max sadly. After that its in motorcycle territory.

    • @stumpusMaximus
      @stumpusMaximus ปีที่แล้ว

      30mph (50cc) is a basic license CBT with L plates. In the U.K. you can ride this with a normal drivers license provided you passed before 2001. A 45mph bike is classed as a 125cc which requires a motorbike license or CBT every 2 years which no doubt applies to other countries
