I met my girlfriend at City And Colour in Auckland, 2012 at the Albert Town Hall, I was 17. We saw him again in Wellington a handful of years later. Now I'm 26 and we're engaged, Dallas' music has been a staple for our whole relationship - any time he's playing in a city nearby, you can bet we'll be there - thanks for the tunes ♥️🇨🇦
The first time I ever heard City and Colour, I was 2 or 3 weeks into a 9 month deployment in Afghanistan and a friend gave me this CD - he said nothing other than "listen to this!" It became my solace, my joy, my escape from the "Little Hell" and changed and influenced what music I listened to, then and ever since. It 'IS' all about the moment, because that is all you have - this moment in time and space.
And in many ways this became the soundtrack to my war! Who would've thought?

can't believe this album turns 10 this year, I was 14 when it came out.
I was 15 when it came out, my god this album still hits the same, but differently now.
I was 20. Now I just had my 30th. Feeling old here.

This album introduced me to music. I was 11 years old and my brother was playing ‘weightless’ in the other room. I burst in and demanded to know who it was. Made me pick up the guitar and find my life passion. Thank you so much Dallas!

Gosh I can't describe how "city and colour" music helped me out. And still do.
I rarely saw somebody sing as Dallas sing, it seems to me he always put all his heart on it.
Knowing I'm not alone feeling what I was feeling helped me so much. If Dallas at some point you read this, thank you so much for sharing your talent and emotions with us
So yes, Dallas. We need one of these for every album
I feel like we all have those one or two bands that we can go back to any time day or night, and they just keep getting better and better. Dallas is that one artist for me. Top of my list since I first heard ‘Save your scissors’ nearly 20 years ago. Still remember hearing it for the first time. I was pulling into the Walmart parking lot with my girlfriend (now my wife of 20 years). It just hit me, I couldn’t turn the car off.. i just sat in awe of that voice and the sound.. to this day City & Colour is still my all time favourite. I also love the fact he’s from Ontario, like myself (London area).
It’s been such a pleasure going through my life with his music by my side.
I hope one day I can just shake this man’s hand and thank him for all the great music he’s given us. A true Canadian legend!

Little Hell was the first time I heard City and Colour which has made it special to me.
This album will forever be one of my most favorite albums. Just like you said, it has got me through some of the hardest times and I am so thankful that you shared your heart with us through it.
Man the ending was so powerful because that song saves me multiple times at night. Thankyou for this story telling video
This acoustic version of Hope for Now in the End made my day.

My soon to be wife got me into you very early in our relationship, I come from a strictly metal background and was quite reluctant at first, but you’ve quickly become a staple of ours for road trips, and one of your songs will more than likely be our song for our wedding. This album blue my mind, sorrowing man is my all time favourite song.
This album came out the day I met my high school girlfriend. I was so excited when it came out. We listened to the whole thing that night and it had a big hand in us falling for each other. It ended up being a soundtrack to that summer and the background to a lot of great memories.

When you started singing hope for now, I was so emotionally invested in the video. All the memories I’ve had listening to little hell when it came out, and how much that album still affects me today. That verse you sang brought me to tears, thank you for everything man. Cheers from Toronto.

I saw this tour at Molson amphitheatre. Greatest show I've ever seen!
Still one of my favourite albums of all time. Spent night after night learning how to play along to these songs.

Dallas I’m glad you spent the time to go out of your comfort zone to bring us Hope For Now. My absolute favourite song. It’s great to hear your thought process. The risk of doing something you usually wouldn’t paid off and you’re an inspiration for me to live in the same way. Thank you!
When AlexisOnFire came on Much Music, we knew it was going to be a fun loud video. Bonus was hearing Dallas sing the choruses. Then C&C came out with 'Save Your Scissors' and it was amazing from the start. Each album matured and some took me longer to get into but they all hold a different part of history. Thankful to have been along for the ride and can't wait for what the future holds!
Few artists have music that has healing quality. Dallas’ music is one of the them. I’ve seen him live twice and that’s not near enough. Come back to Vancouver soon!!

The past decade was a decade of great Indie music. Little Hell was a stand out album during that time for me.
I remembering getting the LITTLE HELL box set, & interviewing Dallas December 8, 2011, @ the Trocadero (RIP) in Philly and it was experience I’ll never forget! Everything Dallas does is absolute 🔥!!!! LITTLE HELL IS NO EXCEPTION! Can we all agree?!?!

The last concert I attended was in Calgary in Nov 2019 (it would of been my 5th one but Xfest was cancelled due to a rain a few years back). You started to play Little Hell and I just busted out in tears.Thank you for your music!!!!

Hearing him describe the thought process behind hope for now really hit me hard. I remember when I was still in high school I would listen to this song when I was in a really dark headspace to remind myself to keep going. Really powerful song.
