He's an award-winning musician with a busy summer of touring. But Dallas Green (Alexisonfire & City and Colour) found time ahead of the playoffs to sit down with Jeff and Elliotte for a lengthy chat about how the pandemic reinvigorated his passion, playing in legendary venues, opening for Rage Against the Machine & The Red Hot Chili Peppers, how athletes and musicians have to find a level of obsession and an ability to set aside criticism, his writing process, and he tells us about his feature piece with Ryan O’Reilly at Massey Hall.

Really great interview. Love everything Dallas does, and it's interviews like this that really show us how lucky we are as hockey fans to have 2 incredible interviewers like Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman, who can get the best of answers out of anybody, even when the sports aren't involved.

Did Marek ever monopolize that interview!!

I have to say, he gave some really good questions that didn't come off as typical easy questions. He deserved that monopolizing of the interview

As a band musician, hockey is the best analogy

It's funny how Dallas doesn't even realize how timeless his records are. He's so surprised someone would still be listening to or influenced by his first album. He's been saying the same stuff since day 1, no matter how many records you try to evolve with, you're still you. Writing about sadness or death who Dallas is. The sad thing is how he doesn't write enough songs about his anger or contempt for people. He's one angry motherf*cker and he is holding it all in and only showing one side to him.

As these two jamokes confirm, NHL media are some of the laziest butts in the biz bar none. Doesn't anyone want to do their jobs any more? Really, the only Dallas Green who I know checked out years ago. #Pathetic
