    At first I thought you had a Merchant Service pipe, I didn’t know Savinelli had a band on the Bing pipe. Looks great!
    I love the classic style.

      Yes, with straight acrylic stem! A merchant service would be nice but those are very hard to get over here!

    After being a pipe smoker for 43 years I have to agree with you Chris. Many years ago I went through a faze of buying freehand shapes and unconventional pipes. Now a days I prefer my Bulldogs, Rhodesians, and Billiard shapes.

    Most of my pipes are classic shapes, but my favorite stems are acrylic. Therefore, some of my Savinelli’s have swirl patterns in them. I do not like vulcanite stems, because they require too much maintenance to keep them black and shiny. I don’t clinch any of my pipes, so the hardness of acrylic is not an issue either. I have quite a few Peterson Silver spigot pipes, that have subdued acrylic stems that I like really well. You have a blessed week, my friend.

    I was going with the classic shapes from the start. Classic English and Danish. Even the very few freehands are rather classic shapes. The most fancy pipe I baught is a Peterson Halloween with an orange stem. But also this one is a classic shape as always with Peterson. Also the tobaccos I like are on the classic side. Natural virginia based, very often flakes, English mixtures and rarely an aromatic. Though I like the S.V.H. by DTM as it's on a very good tobacco basis. Enkoy your smoke and Greetings from Ulm, Germany

    I agree that I like classic shapes the most. My favourite though is the Zulu. I find that it is the best both for walking clenched and for smoking while sitting.

    • @BrutalEnough

      @@BrutalEnough It is true that the Zulu shape is rather rare these days. The only factory pipe that is being made at the moment seems to be the Peterson 268. I have three of these which I like very much. I also have a W. O Larsen estate and a Pierre Morel Zulu. I also like the Cutty and Devel Anse shapes. I haven't commented before but have been following your youtube channel for a couple of years and really like your content.

    Im enjoying the book - In Search of Pipe Dreams by Rick Newcombe - in there he says Bo Noordt was saying test a pipe when empty - there should be no dog whistle sound - no sound means , well drilled and polished etc and a good smoke. My homemade pipe has a rasping noise - so going to see if i can fix that .
    Interesting as uaual Chris - thx

    • @BrutalEnough
      @BrutalEnough  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh, don't take Mr.Newcombe too serious! He has very special expectations on his pipes! But when you habe a brand new pipe, forcefully blow into the pipe! You will be surprised of the amount of dirt that will come out of it!

    I do like the classic shapes better as well. My favorites are the straight billiard types. I don’t know if lumberman is included in that because I know there’s some different ones but I do like the ones where the wood extends further and the actual bit part is shorter. I find myself reaching for this style more than any of the other ones I have. And yes, when we are watching a persons video it’s nice not to have a TV distracting in the background! Have a great day!

    I’m absolutely not interested in how the pipe looks on me!😄
    Firstly, I need to like the shape and design… and secondly if I’m lucky it has to be comfortable and smoke good!
    I do not buy anything flashy, extravagant, colourful or avant-garde! I don’t like excessive carving, ornamentation like on most meerschaums, neither sci-fi Falcon looks!😂
    I don’t like pipes that have bits and bobs sticking out in all directions or require concentration and meditation just so you’ll be able to hold them😅…
    I like pipes that look like pipes!
    Cheers!

    I dont care for the brightly colored stems and i dont think i have any. I do like a silver band or ring on some pipes. Especially a billiard. Many of the basket pipes i bought in the first 10 years i was smoking had red stain. Because cheap basket pipes here are often that color. I didn't like it much at the time and many of them i sanded down and removed the stain. Now i find myself a little bit nostalgic about the cheap red pipes of 10 or 20 years ago. Funny thing, nostalgia.
    Your video was definitely offensive. How dare you tell me to turn off my tv when i don't have a tv. Or put my phone on airplane mode when i already do that. I do have wind noise and mosquitoes sounds. People really love those😂. Take care

    • @BrutalEnough
      @BrutalEnough  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nothing wrong with a red stain! But nowadays we habe blue bits, gold ring plus red stain on a disproportional pipe! 😂😂 and btw; when you see yourself in black and white the red stain is no problem! I have screaming children and city zraffic as background noise, but I haven't figured out how to turn these off! 😁 i'm fine with misquitos and such! 😁😁
