Nice video! I have been trying to compress my shots more on the range recently. I find that I have to twist my forearms more just before impact in order to get the clubface square (rather than open) when using shaft lean. Is this a normal feeling or am I doing something wrong?
With respect, why isn’t this stack and tilt? And you are not leaning the shaft forward. Your hands are forward but the shaft is leaning backward. I am still a big fan of your takeaway drill.
It’s a drill. I’d have players go from this and gradually work their way into a “traditional movement”. Not saying you can’t swing like this everytime but it has limitations… very difficult to hit a 4iron with a ton of shaft lean. So as a drill I’d have a player “feel” this, then slowly lessen the feel over time
Drill? This is my goto stance when my game decides to leave me mid-round when I start to get tired... Weight on left foot, minimise rotation and don't swing too hard... I lose a little distance, but it gets me through the round...
Great tip🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for sharing this great video. I will take it to range, and practice. 😀😀😀
I’ve been using this method and it really works!

I wouldn’t do that. I’d advise getting the face in a stronger position first through other ways. Then u can lean the shaft
Stack & Tilt ?
Not necessarily. I say I’m the video it’s not “stack and tilt”… it’s just staying forward to make sure the ball comes out low.
Stack/tilt……Justin Rose sets up 60% weight left leg….40% right

With this drill your head is ahead of the ball not behind the ball as pros has.
Watch them hit a low shot…
Good for your irons but not driver or woods
Yup, the video was about irons not woods.

Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes we just need to get through the round and work it out on the range afterwards
