Nailed it. They sacrificed quality for quantity, story for lackluster content. The MCU was built on solid stories and fleshed out characters, and they seem to have forgotten that.

P.S. Madam web is trash and I put it there because it mentioned the web, that’s it. May god have mercy on the souls of the people that made this movie.
@snowmonkey1 it's both. Listening to the way show runners and fiege talk about it it's all about the tropes the cameos the mystery box, not the story. Story takes time to develop and get right, which means less content, which means to them less product to sell. It is driven by greed. But even hearing them talk about the marvels, or antman quantamania or whatever its all... superficial aspects. Spectacle, surprise, not story.
Marvel never had quality. The quality of marvel movies today is exactly the same as it was in ten years ago. You marvel fans have simply grown up and don’t like movies made for children
@damiantirado9616 Ageee to disagree on that since I was an adult when Avengers came out in all its campy glory. It had solid storytelling, at least, and a grasp on how to manage a cast of characters in an engaging way. There has been a change, a noticable one, especially in writing, in how they approach their characters and projects, if one isn't a dismissive twerp, I suppose.
After rewatching phase one and getting through early phase two I think I worked out why it felt so good. Phase one was all about individual heroes and their journey eventually coming together in avengers. Phase two for the most part was just Agents of Shield and The first couple of Netflix shows with a few post Avengers catch up movies sprinkled here and there. Pretty much all of phase two was just Agents of shield doing their thing and occasionally crossing over with whatever movie was coming out. We need to just have a baseline story that connects the dots and let’s us see what earth is like outside of the movies and shows and cut down on the sheer amount of side character/ side story tv shows.
I'll give mcu this. Spider-man no way home was a good epilogue movie after endgame to introduce "multiverse" then loki and dr.strange dived into it more. Captain America was solid to showcase how the "blip" affected everyone's lives on earth which was cool... then they just started introducing waaaaay too many characters with the shows to the point you don't even know who's really the next avengers. Then Quantumania fumbled kang as their next big bag villain
@@Andre-vt4np winter soldier is a sequel. You better compare iron man with Doctor strange, ant man, Captain marvel etc. arrogant character gets into an accident, wether it’s car crash, bomb explosion or arrested. Then they develop technology or superpowers. Their mentor dies (except for ant man) They got a black or Mexican friend(aka diversity friendly guy) A boring love interest with barely any development And a mediocre villain that has the same powers. That is literally all marvel solo origin movies, and the sequels are even worse. Occasionally they are some good ones like winter soldier but in general the writing is the same mediocre and lame. Mcu hasn’t changed it’s always been the same. You just hate it cause of diversity or you’ve grown up.
@@damiantirado9616 you basically summarize the Heroes journey that has always been the case. You said you dont like the common trope for hero origin stories but do you even like Captain marvel? Basically an origin story that the character is so perfect that you dont even see the character arc? Oh what about She-hulk? A spin on an origin story where the "hero" is the "best hulk" as far as controlling it in the mcu? No, the diversity isnt the problem it is how they give mediocre movies just to get a quota
@@Andre-vt4np the heroes journey is nothing without any form of complexity in the characters. Your comment just shows that mcu fans have one dimensional view of writing and don’t understand movies very well. Doctor strange 2 is literally the heroes journey but instead of Doctor strange it’s American chavez. Does that make it good? To me nope because heroes journey doesn’t make a film good, lots of well written heroes journey and marvel movies doesn’t know how to write heroes journeys. While you probably hate Doctor strange 2 cause of diversity of cause that guy from fantastic 4 died. Finally the fact that you mentioned that in she hulk the writers wanted to tell the audiences that she is the “best hulk” shows your bias and brainwashed from right wing propaganda. At no point did they ever say she is better than him. They only showed the differences between a female version of the hulk and a male one. That’s all. But again your comment proves my point that you don’t care about the writing, you care about black or females in your movies. If Doctor strange 2 was all white oriole you would’ve loved it, or if Thor 4 didn’t have gay characters you would’ve liked it unlike me and others who actually criticize the writing and we know the writing has not changed since phrase one of the mcu the only thing that has changed is that they have gay people now which makes the racist/homophobic nerds angry.
Heavy agree with the non-mandatory shows. First it was Loki, if you missed that you were basically screwed for the rest of the phase. You wouldn’t know what the TVA is, Sacred Timeline, and other crucial plot points. You could’ve missed a few shows like Hawkeye, Moonknight, SheHulk (xd), etc. But anything else and your basically screwed and confused for any future shows/movies from marvel
That’s how franchises work. You can’t just skip entries of a franchise and expect to know what’s going on. There is no point at all to these shows if they have no impact on the films. That doesn’t feel like a connected universe. That’s why I never watched any of the defenders shows. Why would I watch something that’s not connected to the franchise besides in name. Now I’m finally watching Daredevil since he seems to be finally coming into the MCU, 9 years after his show started. I don’t watch every movie or show and I have no problem following along. I’ve literally only seen 4 movies and 2.5 shows since Endgame. WandaVision, Falcon and the WS, Loki Season 1, No Way Home, Dr. Strange 2, Ant-Man 3, Deadpool 3.
What phase are we again...? I can't even remember now. Edit: OMG. When the clip of Cap saying "Avengers! ....Assemble" still gave me goosebumps and visceral feeling. I'm actually surprised at how long-standing this one scene still is. It probably still be 20 years from now, I'm sure.
Part of the reason people love superheroes is because of their relatability. We all love a good character story/arc. It’s cool you have powers but even COOLER that they’re pretty much an ordinary, flawed person who happens to have powers. Forgoing that element pretty much removes all of the potential for good writing.
I think another thing they could do is to stop telling us every movie coming in the phase, the whole “oh no the end of everything” means nothing when you know everyone gets another movie
I imagine in the hands of a capable writer, the lack of focus currently running throughout the franchise could be used to an advantage for the next incoming threat, but with all the focus now on RDJ's version of Dr. Doom (which, btw, takes every bit of excitement I had pending for what Marvel might do with the FF and Doom and removes the wind completely out of my sails), it's going to take more than focus. They need a solid plan, but also a core set of characters people care about. Whether people liked or didn't like Shang Chi, the Eternals, any of the Marvels, She-Hulk, or Moon Knight, none of those characters have an ounce of the drawing power that Iron Man and Cap had even before people knew who they were (say what you want, but Iron Man and Cap sustained their own comic book lines for decades). And Shang Chi doesn't even have the history of someone like Iron Fist. I love Moon Knight as a character, but nothing about his show was working for me. If the plan is to use RDJ to get people into theaters and use him as a villain to prop up the lackluster replacement heroes, I promise you, it's still going to be Spider-Man and Wolverine's presence that brings anyone to the cinema. After Infinity War, people's hype for Thor was at an all-time high, and Endgame left us with intriguing possibilities, but... *wet fart. She-Hulk managed to devalue Hulk even further than Endgame did, and that was the one character other than Spider-Man that Marvel had with some name recognition when the MCU started. I really thought that they'd start the next phase with smaller stories, introduce new characters into the bigger picture, have a plan...but holy crap, the thing has looked rudderless for half a decade now. They REALLY seem to want us to care about legacy characters, and I just don't view my heroes through that lens.
Yeah there are some Phase one movies that are not very liked but, they managed to improve these films by actually using them to build the rest of the story and because they have fan favorite characters in them they are now in a better light, and it is possible for them to do the same thing but not with the next avangers coming out in 2 years already, thats the way of total destruction
Cool video. Nicely edited and I can see you put a lot of thought into it. Ultimately, I agree with needing the team. We NEED The Avengers. That's what I've learned about this multiverse saga. 👍
Why in the flying f*ck does this have only 8 comments and 250 views, this video was so good and insightful i love marvel but i am not going to lie recently i have been going more and more away from marvel, until phase 3 i watched everything with my heart and soul into it but then i just started watching marvel for the sake of being caught up to marvel rather than enjoying the actual movies still i watched everything until guardians 3 except a few like black widow and hawkeye but now i just dont like watching these movies and tv shows, i havent watched secret invasion, the marvels, echo or even deadpool 3, though i have heard that deadpool 3 is good and its evident in its box office collection of a billion dollars even after being a r-rated movie but i just dont want to see it because for me to understand it i have to rewatch all the fox movies of x-men even the shitty ones because of all the shit that marvel put out, my interest is now gone and now i cant even bring myself to watch the good movies sorry for all the rambling but i just really liked this video and wanted to share my frustration, you deserve much more than this, just keep going trust me you will make it you earned a new subscriber and a regular viewer
You don’t really have to watch all of the Fox Xmen stuff to understand Deadpool and Wolverine, basically just the first two Deadpool films and Logan, that’s about it as far as importance to that film goes.
I can't agree more, the infinity saga is the Star Wars of our generation, i keep rewatching Endgame's Avengers Assemble scene and get goosebumps again, its just a super satisfying culmination of a gigantic project and we might never see anything like that again.
8:19 Exactly. EXACTLY!! I was so proud of Marvel Studios when they released "Black Panther." I remembered how that film brought so many people to watch it. People who don't usually watch Marvel films. So when T'Challa got turned into dust, I was super devastated. I was MAD at "Infinity War." It was even more infuriating at the time that IW was making more at the box office than BP. Now I LOVE IW. Anyway, all that to say how much I truly cared aboit the MCU back then. And now... 😒
The problem is most of the current heroes are all horrible like She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, America Chavez, the Young Avengers, the Eternals, and the characters from Phase 4 to 5.
The reason why you don't need to see dune prophecy to understand dune messiah is not only bc its set thousands of years before the first two dune movies but also bc its part of a prequel trilogy in the dune books which wasn't even written by Frank Herbert but by his son. So there was always an element of choice there bc the main storyline of dune kinda concluded with the book chapterhouse dune. All the books after that were not written by frank Herbert but by his son and the dune fandom is split on whether these brian Herbert books are even canon or not. Also Disney plus isnt the problem here the problem is their lack of a cohesive vision. For the infinity saga they knew they were building up to thanos and their stories were centred around the infinity stones, but now? Their movies dont even feel connected anymore. No more avengers movies at the end of each phase, lack of a cohesive vision, we don't even know the current line up of the avengers, the events of loki should've been atleast mentioned in multiverse of madness, the events of eternals should've been shown and mentioned in other movies, and not to mention so many unnecessary projects like she hulk or that baby groot show which don't add anything to this saga and also when they do make something good like moon knight, shang chi or werewolf by knight they don't continue with it and abandon it. Also they don't put much effort in their projects anymore which shows bc their Disney plus tv shows are glorified 6-7 hour movies than actual TV shows. They can pull off Disney plus shows along with the movies given they hire better writers, make each show unique and creative and treat tv shows like tv shows and have their phases properly planned out. Their tv shows are tooo damn short. How the hell are you going to conclude a storyline within 7-8 episodes each being 30 minutes long or sometimes 40 min. Thats just not possible. They're half assing things now. They're half assing the multiverse. I've heard people on this platform talking about how everything everywhere all at once was a better movie than multiverse of madness ( which i completely stand by and agree with ) but i have also seen people here who say that marvel shouldn't even have went with the multiverse too begin. They are sooo wrong bc the multiverse was introduced wayyyy back in 2016's doctor strange so it was a natural progression for them but where they went wrong was not using the full potential of the multiverse and only using it as a plot device for cameos. You can do cameos but cameos shouldn't be the goal of these movies. Stories are. They're the key. You can do so much with the multiverse, make experimental groundbreaking movies set in the MCU but instead they decided to do "haha look this is that actor from that thing lol" and that's it. They could've explored Kang the conqueror and showed us why he is far more dangerous than Thanos but they fumbled.
Marvel Writers don’t want you to think. Her plan should’ve been to break barriers across every single universe in Marvel’s Multiverses (Marvel’s side of The Omniverse) so it can all be one single universe where everyone’s desires come true. That should’ve been her twisted plan. I’m a big fan of multiverses but like time travel you have to be clever when writing them as concepts. If you try to simplify them in a story you create questions that tear the foundation of your narrative to shreds. No Way Home, & The Spiderverse movies did this better then Loki & Multiverse Of Madness. DC Animated Crisis On Infinite Earths Three parter did this better. Back To The Future, The One & Everything Everywhere All At Once also did this better. Heck Star Trek 2009 did this better. Star Wars Empire Strikes Back even did this better. The Reason why I say Scarlet Witch should’ve concluded that all universe should be merged together instead of separated is because after discovering the existence of the multiverse, she could’ve seen multiple versions of herself suffer like her when there are other universes where she’s happy. She could then see this is the same for all of her other friends on The Avengers who have lost people they cared about or made decisions that altered their lives for the worst. She can then be tempted by Myphisto (The Devil In Marvel) to see it as injustice That The Gods Of Marvel’s Side Of The Omniverse deem that infinite universes should all be separated when they have the answers for anyone who experienced a type of loss they can’t go back & prevent just like her. From there she can go up against Sorcerers like Strange who’s job is to keep the universes stable and separated to prevent incursion events where they die after submerging together in collisions. She can be out on some crazy tirade by Myphisto believing she can break universe barriers and combine them while preventing them from dying Just so everyone can have what they truly desire. She can deem the gods who serve The One Above All (Marvel’s God) as cosmic tyrant oppressors for making variants suffer like this. She could’ve tried to appeal to Strange by offering him variants of his sister or Universes Where Christine is in love with him and not someone else, and have Doctor Strange wrestle with refusing everything he desires to protect the sanctity of the multiverse and prevent all life from going extinct, helping Wanda realize that loss has to happen for someone to grow. That sometimes what other variants get are meant for them and not for her. Like they could’ve tackled deep philosophy & psychology with a multiverse story but instead they chose to waste it on dumb jokes. Okay cameos, and mediocre story plot points. Loki’s show would’ve been better if Kang attempted to end an ongoing Multiversal War against his variants as he who remains in S1 leading up to the finale while Loki & Slylvie figure it out & try to stop him instead presenting that he already did it before the events of Loki. Imagine The original time Variance authority under the time keeps watched over all the alternate timelines within every universe of the multiverse and only erased the timelines that became a bigger threat to the rest in order to prevent chaotic multiverse wars which could unravel all of reality. They' re job is to keep the timelines in universes separate to prevent mass destruction on temporal co smic scales, this the purpose they were given by their creators The Time Keepers who were actual deities this time like in the comics. The downside is they failed and unbeknownst of their own knowledge The Kangs Of The MCU Multiverse got access to the library of worlds under the control of the One Above All & Their Beyonders. That way they' re able to make The Time Keepers and The Original MCU Time Variance Authority unaware of their existence and Their secret Multiversal war for control of all space time itself across the infinite cosmos. This makes The Time Keepers & TVA unaware of what really causes more universes & timelines to crop up out of nowhere and they believe The Variants that are created are the cause of it since they' re actions create new timelines. The Kangs agree to kill The Time Keepers after the war under The Kang who wins becoming their leader and the new time lord. Who Remains was one of those Kangs, but he doesn' t want to play fair with the other Kangs in an honest fight because as an outcast of his Multiversal species they don' t share his vision for a better future where they all get to rule at the top as cosmic Kang kings: Kill The Multiverse best to prevent this war from going on indefinitely across infinite realities because he knows each decision they all make creates a universe & timeline. The other Kangs disagree, wanting other universes to be around after The Victor wins so they can rule over infinite realities with their own greed. Because of this foolishness He Who Remains has an idea. He comes in secretly conguering The Time Keepers In The MCU Multiverse and enslaving them to help him have an edge on his variants in the ongoing secret multiversal war. With control of these gods he believed this was hijacks their TVA altering its purposes with the power of the magic lizard gods, now that He Who Remains Is In charge he makes The Time Keepers create The New TVA to help him erase timelines in any universe across the multiverse where his variants pose a threat to him but the TVA are taught to believe they' re only doing this to prevent universe calamities from destroying the fabric of time itself by sending variants to a dimension where they can be erased. The TVA even in this situation are still unaware of what's causing the anomalies across space time. It can then be established that He Who Remains succeeds in killing off an entire multiverse of timelines in the season 1 finale as he then erases The TVA itself leaving him as soul ruler of time. Loki,Silvie & Mobius along with the remaining Loki variants they form an alliance with could storm the his base and try to undo what he did but despite this Loki & Mobius just want to capture He Who Remains to have him recreate The TVA and only bring back some universes & timelines that can't cause calamities and prevent future multiverse wars while Silvie and The Surviving Loki Variants believe they should just kill He Who Remains bring back The Multiverse and let The TVA remain erased because to them they' re shouldn' t be any rule of time and al1 universes that exist have a right to flow freely leading to the big fight between Loki & Mobius vs Silvie & The Loki Army while Kang watches them fight as he planned. He then taunts Silvie into killing him and undoing what he did because he believes he can just do it again after getting time reincarnated as he set the existence of the multiverse in the MCU under a temporal loop of being created & erased by him with his Loom.
I honestly dont know what could save it. But some thoughts i had throughout the video: Characters feel shoehorned in and rushed. Monica literally pops up out of nowhere with her powers, no character development, or time spent with her outside of Wanda's storyline now here she is in a whole other storyline and barely any mention of her story. And also the whole ”their powers switching" just feels stupid and contrived. I guess that all boils down to bad writing. Because any P4 project has bad writing moments. Wether its because they had really bad writing or because the pacing of the writing didnt allow the writing ideas to really come together, i.e. Wandavison finale And i agree with the avengers needing to team up. Wanda going through EVERYTHING she went through and us getting no further elaboration or discussion with anyone is so.... Lazy?? Like if she wasn't literally an Avenger. Even in doctor strange 2 they mention it so weirdly and unnaturally. The same way monica mentions it in Marvels. It doesnt feel like a thing that even happened on screen. If the characters treat one of the best projects, who has like FOUR connecting projects to it, (strange, monica, vision, agatha) like its some background noise that doesnt matter, what exactly does that say about every other project? Maybe im bias because im a fan of Wanda, right? But i feel like its a massive missed opportunity. Instead of capitalizing on Wanda, a prominent main character that people know, love and are invested in, they randomly bring her in a doctor strange movie randomly, make her spiral/be book-brainwashed off camera for a cheap "omg shes evil now" moment and "kill" her off. Theres no development with her powers, story, knowledge of either the multiverse or the darkhold in general. Like why tf wouldnt the darkhold book tell her about Wundagore? And also she does, what on paper seems like an immense sacrifice, but isnt because we barely had any time with the so called "booked of the damned" with terribly evil spells that could aid wanda in the destruction or enslavement of the entire multiverse. Like for that i feel like the book of the damned shouldve been way more prominent in our universe. Not just yet another shoe-horned thing that they destroy in the same movie its officially introduced in. Rushed and sloppy. Now i know this is the bias in me talking, but Wanda definitely deserved her own movie AFTER wandavision. Her learning about the darkhold maybe? trying to find ways to cross into the multiverse? Maybe trying to make deals with the demons hoping they could help her. Traveling to different realms in hope of a window into the multiverse on the way, maybe fighting to baddies, demons, magical users. And with every dead lead she grows more desperate, and the book slowly making her much darker not only aesthetically (wandavision to MoM) but morally. Maybe going from fighting off and winning against beings, leaving them defeated on the ground to eventually killing them. But i think she also would benefit from maybe seeing on of the avengers for the "last" time before she "dies" most likely Clint since he's pretty much the last official avenger she has any ties with. Maybe where she explains what happens, shows remorse and is comforted by him. Maybe they could frame it being right after she leaves Westview. And then her journey to that remote place where she first just tries to understand her powers and everything agatha told her about them, but then the book showing her spells and information that could intrigue her wants and wishes leading her into her MoM arche. And to be fair they still COULD do that. Black Widow style but why exactly do they have to do that after the fact? Do they think it'll bring intrigue? Cause im sure they're scared about a women led movie to begin with. Which is why Black Widow exists after she appeared in 7 other movie before that.
One issue here I have is that doctor strange 2 contradicts wandavision- i was there, soneone who loved wandavision and it just didn't do anything to tie up to it at all except feature the kids that get explained in the film, and while I loved the cinematography, set design, costuming and performances, narratively, it felt like a blur and didnt really tie to wandavision at all, she only turned bad in the last 5 mins of the show and even then its way more jarring the way doctor strange provides no buildup at all than what wandavision did to make it tie to doctor strange. She turns from savage mode to emotionally unstable in seconds without much explanation- that concept is hard to get audiences engaged with, the fact that a magic book can do that and they didn't even show much of this as it happened off screen- it is really weird.
Noones talking enough about how this saga has the specific goal of introducing multitudes of characters so it's a massive ensemble when world's collide in secret wars, and the characters from the other universes (sony's spidermen, xmen, etc) all join into one. Across the spider verse showed the same sacred timeline branch as in loki, there's clearly well planned schemes happening in the background and it should be a satisfying payoff in a different way to the infinity saga
Great video! Agreed with every point, especially the disney+ point. I think that's why "What if..." worked, because felt like a different taste of the mcu. It could be a great oportunity to explore other characters that (probably) we are never gona see on the big screen, like nova, beta ray bill, excalibur with cavill as captain britain, the first guardians of the galaxy, hell if they get risky they could do a knowhere tv series made like a mockumentary, to capture some of the style from the 2008 comic. Idk, just throwing options here, but they can do whatever they want. I'm not gonna hate series like she hulk, secret invasion, or whatever, cause despite i didn't like it that much, had some fun moments, but it's also sad that here is so much more to explore other than what we are getting.
Yeah, you're right. Marvel hasn't been the same since endgame. And honestly. Like I feel like they would just reboot the series or so I'm like, or just away for us to enjoy Marvel. The way we used to back in the day Where they used to crash cars and all the cool stuff they used to do. I really wish they can do it again. Maybe thou will help Marvel out. What do you guys think? What are your ideas for marvel to be fixed

Here’s how u fix marvel. Soft reboot. Everything that Disney wants to release like for example blade, nova, etc can be released after secret wars in the reboot. Daredevil born again don’t have to reference anything in the mcu because although it’s releasing before secret wars u can easily write the story in a way where post secret wars it’s canon. Reboot certain characters like iron man, captain America, hulk, Thor, etc… Post secret wars X-men Spectacular Spider-Man Hulk vs wolverine World war hulks F4 sequel Black panther X-men 2 Here’s a general plot/what to do in the these movies X-men: introduction of the x-men with cyclops, emma frost, beast, iceman, Kitty pryde, gambit, rogue, archangel. Main villain mr sinister. Jean gray falls into a coma in the beginning of the movie and doesn’t wake up til avengers vs x-men.Prof x teaching and helps the x-men telepathically. Spectacular Spider-Man: Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man and the events of Spider-Man freshman year are now canon. Hulk vs wolverine: introduction to this universes hulk and wplverine. Post credit scene wolverine meets prof x. World war hulks: the new rebooted avengers introduction is in this movie. MCU needs a hard reset NOW. And I think you're right, building Avengers type of team from begining is the way to go, they could do a new phase that is completely separate from the current MCU, give these guys a fresh slate. They obviously can't manage universe this large, it's impossible to have this many heroes and villains on the big screen without it feeling overwhelming. You don't need to up the stakes, you can reset it. They doubled down with multiverse so they could cram as much brain-dead fan service as they possibly can at the expense of everything else, everyone's praising (apparently) Wolverine and Deadpool but I guarantee you, like No way home, it will not stand the test of time, because there's no meat to it, there's nothing timeless about it. They need to reset it, take a risk and focus on good storytelling
Very thought provoking narrative. Thank you! What if they modeled things after CSI (and I’ll admit I didn’t watch that so I may not know what I’m talking about), But what if there was: Marvel Cosmic Marvel NYC (essentially the Netflix series which I really enjoyed) Marvel Earths Mightiest Heroes Maybe there is a 4th or 5th brand (I still remember the West Coast Avengers Comic Book)
I always thought that after endgame they should have had 3 sections- stuff happening on earth, stuff happening throughout the rest of the galaxy (cosmic), and stuff happening with the more magic or multiversal characters like doctor strange.
They've used up all the jeopardy in the universe, literally. You've made killing off half the universe a story point. You can't get much jeopardy or tension than that. Everything else is small beans. Doing it all from square one is star wars all over again.
@@mrmxyzptlk3911exactly, the quality has been on a steady decline since then with a sharp drop after endgame. Ironman 1 is still the best movie in the franchise.
Marvel is dead bro. Accept it. The only reason people will still go is because of the cinema experience and some innocent dopamine. No one is invested in these characters no more, No one is invested in the storyline, most people probably don't even know what the events are. Mcu became an activity for when you're bored. Nobody cares about the story anymore
For me MoM, No way home, Shang chi is great to build up the multiverse saga, and Quantumania, i think it can be a better movie to make kang as a threat, Then the marvels, shehulk, and ms marvel are unnecessary or maybe can be better movie/series... but for loki, it was great other one is secret invasion. i remember one yt video he said that secret invasion should be avengers film before we going to avengers doomsday(before was kang dynasty), to mix up other hero because it seems like skrull is an avengers level threat with super skrull For eternels idk i dont like it at all... and thor 4 is unnecessary or maybe they can wait up after multiverse saga because gorr seems like a interesting character with his necrosword which we know it from Knull... i think this movie can set up Knull as the next threat for avengers movie after multiverse saga
is anyone really that much interested in a long superhero saga anymore ? millennials were the OG consumers of superhero "films". They are getting older now. reaching their 40s and not much interested to that much of commitment to a long running series. Gen Z were never really a follower of superhero material that much as they dont have any patience due to being a ticktock generation. They mostly consume 10-20 sec videos only. So all these plans are gonna suffer badly.
maybe put thor as a side character? make him an extra muscle for the main people to go to. and put captain marvel as a main. i feel like people would enjoy her more if they make a few tweaks like make her a danger to people she works with(cause you know she's indestructible and acts like it no matter who she's with) that'd give her a flaw. make her more impatient and make rash decisions. i don't know i feel like the mcu can still save her. also i think the new nick fury should be sam. cause you know he needs to build a new team. i say make him a side character that's trying to build a new team, have him fail as a leader on doomsday and let him rally on secret wars. i feel like some movies forget the value of failure now. awesome video btw👏
No, stop making this one long story with the same actors who age and die. Recast-reboot. It's about the characters, not the actors. Now they're tying in old actors and stories from other studios. Marvel has superior (see what I did there?) characters to DC, but they don't know what to with them. I'm dreading everything I've heard of they're future projects.
Maybe you should ask? What quality? The military propaganda that wanted shovel into our face over and over, over twenty something movies, that nearly every MCU movie was founded, promoted and even their review the scripts of the movies, and that is common knowledge, is not a matter of quality, because the quality was pretty shitty if you began to look deep down, some movies were more overt with their military propaganda than others, and of course, Disney always have a scapegoat, to never do something meaningful or change the status quo, the heroes were there not to do something for humanity, but to keep things how they are.
@@petermj1098 Actually no, it about no making deals under the table, but creating technology that benefit Stark Industries and Tony itself there is no problem, Tony created a nano suit and only use it in himself, when that kind of technology could help countless people. And now at days in the comics Tony Stark had become more of an antagonist, than a hero, but he always like that since Civil War, his mismanagement of SHIELD lead him to be framed to murder and they put Norman Osborn in charge, that wouldn't be in charge if Tony didn't foster a ambient of corruption around him, that make him even him expendable at the end, he try to make amends later, but it was to late, so Tony began to fall to the deep end, and began to behave more selfishly, to the point that even Pepper couldn't stand him and resign, now Tony with Scott Summer had become the antagonist in the comics, no heroes.
@@TheKeyser94 Stan Lee himself he made Iron Man to comment on the military industrial complex and Tony Stark is essentially if Howard Hughes secretly became a superhero. Stan said no one would expect an arms dealer would become a superhero. You are only talking about bad writing from Mark Millar lol
@@petermj1098 And those comics where written by the end of the Cold War, where Natasha try to kill Tony and then switch sides, Marvel have many superheroes like this during and after Stan Lee took over, like Captain America, that was more overtly racist before Stan Lee took over Marvel. And seeing that when Disney brought Marvel, they collaborated with the military for founds, promotional material and the Pentagon even revised the script, so yeah, Iron Man is military propaganda, most of the MCU are.
@@TheKeyser94 Yeah an assassin becoming a hero is propaganda simply because she is Russian and not cause Stan decided he wanted to have a new female hero. Lol The Stark Logo in the MCU is literally mocking the Lockheed Martin logo and Lockheed Martin is known for corrupt arms dealing. Lol The entire point of the movie is criticizing Tony’s company’s own corrupt arms dealing. Lol
Spider Man no way home I think was great. Dr Strange 2 I think is okay, Ant Man 3 I think is fun, Black Panther 2 I also enjoyed and is fun and Black Window is fun too. Now for their mistakes. Eternals, Thor 4, The Marvels, Guardians 3, Shang Chi. And now with Deadpool and Wolverine as the most recent bounce back enjoyable success that’s 11 movies post Endgame and I’d say they were .500 went 5 for 10 before bringing In Deadpool and Wolverine. If we only got this i strongly think we would all be way more tolerable of the MCU post endgame. It’s the Disney plus series that ruined it in my opinion. Marvel’s identity with the MCU was their movies. DC had the Arrowverse. And then played terrible catch up in the shadow of the MCU on the big screen. Marvel should’ve stuck to their identity and I agree with what you say about pace. Take time and tell the stories properly with proper pace, use the team ups as check points this is my favorite MCU covered video I’ve watched in a long time. I was definitely a fan of the Netflix Defenders and tolerated Agents of Shield. But they didn’t ask the casual audience to know about the Hand or the Kree or Quake when you went to go to the theater. That’s why I’m not a fan of the Loki show or Ms Marvel etc. yes they have great success in animation which is cool. They should’ve prioritized What If and Xmen 97 as their animated projects. The over saturated series that we all know are the main issue. I strongly believe if they weren’t a thing all of our thoughts on post endgame from casual fan to die hard would be a lot more positive.
6:04 I've LONG wanted Disney to bring back the original Avengers actors for a monster-of-the-week/semi-anthological Secret Avengers series set between Civil War and Infinity War, about Cap and Nat fighting villains while hiding from the government
honestly they should have taken a few years break after endgame. endgame was such a good and powerful ending, it woulda made sense to lay low for a bit. but nope, right after 1 big thing, they immediately start pumping out more projects on big scales like the multiverse (btw i think a show about spider man on disney plus would be cool and bring in a lot of money it doesn't have to be mandatory just a show about some street level conflict)
It has little to do with woke culture, it has everything to do with corporate pandering, emphasis on nostalgia, brain-dead fan service, lack of direction and them doubling down on multiverse, self-referencial humor and over bloated nonsensical world building. It needs a hard reset
It’s the downtrend that’s concerning, not the profits. They still make profit but the writing is on the wall, people don’t care as much because the projects are worse and worse
@@RaymondJonesrejliveSpoiled really? The stories are just rubbish, and besides from a Billion dollar company that’s been doing this for almost 20 years, you can expect some well thought out writing

Bro did you not watch the video? These shows feel mandatory to watch in order to understand anything new from Marvel Like if you miss Loki, Wanda Vision, Falcon & the Winter Soldier, your screwed. You could’ve missed a few shows like Hawkeye, Moonknight, SheHulk (xd), etc. But anything else and your basically screwed and confused for any future shows/movies from marvel
Nailed it. They sacrificed quality for quantity, story for lackluster content.
The MCU was built on solid stories and fleshed out characters, and they seem to have forgotten that.
I don't think they forgot, disney just got greedy and wanted see how much they could squeeze the cash cow

Then Quantumania fumbled kang as their next big bag villain
uggh like eternals what was that
8:12 I never thought of it like that, wow… that’s actually a really good question to ask MCU fans.
If Marvel focused on good movies most of these complaints would go away.
Marvel always made the same mediocre movie
@@damiantirado9616 Really? Winter soldier and Iron man was the same mediocre movie?
@@Andre-vt4np winter soldier is a sequel. You better compare iron man with Doctor strange, ant man, Captain marvel etc.
arrogant character gets into an accident, wether it’s car crash, bomb explosion or arrested.
Then they develop technology or superpowers.
Their mentor dies (except for ant man)
They got a black or Mexican friend(aka diversity friendly guy)
A boring love interest with barely any development
And a mediocre villain that has the same powers.

I think we are in phase 5? Or phase 6 will start in 2025?
Excellent insights. You should submit that to the powers that be at Marvel MCU. This was an objective assessment, but as a fan. Totally insightful.

Part of the reason people love superheroes is because of their relatability. We all love a good character story/arc. It’s cool you have powers but even COOLER that they’re pretty much an ordinary, flawed person who happens to have powers. Forgoing that element pretty much removes all of the potential for good writing.
That’s why homelander is so popular, I guess everyone has a small bit of him in themselves

I hope mcu see's this
The reason why you don't need to see dune prophecy to understand dune messiah is not only bc its set thousands of years before the first two dune movies but also bc its part of a prequel trilogy in the dune books which wasn't even written by Frank Herbert but by his son.
Imagine The original time Variance authority under the time keeps watched over all the alternate timelines within every
universe of the multiverse and only erased the timelines that became a bigger threat to the rest in order to prevent chaotic multiverse wars which could unravel all of reality. They' re job is to keep the timelines in universes separate to prevent mass
destruction on temporal co smic scales, this the purpose they
were given by their creators The Time Keepers who were actual deities this time like in the comics. The downside is they failed and unbeknownst of their own knowledge The Kangs Of The MCU Multiverse got access to the library of worlds under the
control of the One Above All & Their Beyonders. That way they' re
able to make The Time Keepers and The Original MCU Time Variance
Authority unaware of their existence and Their secret Multiversal war for control of all space time itself across the infinite cosmos. This makes The Time Keepers & TVA unaware of
what really causes more universes & timelines to crop up out of
nowhere and they believe The Variants that are created are the
cause of it since they' re actions create new timelines.
But some thoughts i had throughout the video:
Characters feel shoehorned in and rushed.
Wandavison finale
And i agree with the avengers needing to team up.
5:31 they were like dlc, extra content like you said that could be more to watch, entertaining, but its not a part of the main story
I hope Kevin sees this video and takes it into consideration.

Testing a bunch out
One issue here I have is that doctor strange 2 contradicts wandavision- i was there, soneone who loved wandavision and it just didn't do anything to tie up to it at all except feature the kids that get explained in the film, and while I loved the cinematography, set design, costuming and performances, narratively, it felt like a blur and didnt really tie to wandavision at all, she only turned bad in the last 5 mins of the show and even then its way more jarring the way doctor strange provides no buildup at all than what wandavision did to make it tie to doctor strange. She turns from savage mode to emotionally unstable in seconds without much explanation- that concept is hard to get audiences engaged with, the fact that a magic book can do that and they didn't even show much of this as it happened off screen- it is really weird.
Thats because the writers of Doctor Strange 2 didn't watch wandavision.
Iron Man was the heart of the MCU, Captain America was the soul. Without those characters the MCU feels blank and hollow.
I only ever watched the MCU for Loki, and since Loki S2 is one of the best things I've ever watched, I'm perfectly content 😅
Marvel needs a new “Big Three” for audiences to be invested in
Maybe Captain Falcon, Dr Strange, and Reed Richards
Spider-Man??
Or spider man, Wolverine, hulk.

P.S. Madam web is trash and I put it there because it mentioned the web, that’s it.
May god have mercy on the souls of the people that made this movie.
i think deadpool can play a part in this too, his movie did make a billion
Here’s how u fix marvel. Soft reboot. Everything that Disney wants to release like for example blade, nova, etc can be released after secret wars in the reboot. Daredevil born again don’t have to reference anything in the mcu because although it’s releasing before secret wars u can easily write the story in a way where post secret wars it’s canon. Reboot certain characters like iron man, captain America, hulk, Thor, etc…
Post secret wars
X-men
Spectacular Spider-Man
Hulk vs wolverine
World war hulks
F4 sequel
Black panther
X-men 2
Here’s a general plot/what to do in the these movies
X-men: introduction of the x-men with cyclops, emma frost, beast, iceman, Kitty pryde, gambit, rogue, archangel.
The leader is the main villain and has a bunch of hulks running around and the avengers have to stop it. The avengers gets the help of hulk and they defeat all the hulks but the leader ends up taking control of the hulk and the final battle is the avengers vs hulk. Hulk is freed in the end and we don’t see him again till avengers vs x-men. The avengers line up is iron man, Thor, ant man wasp(Hank janet), captain America Sam Wilson, Hawkeye, black widow.
Black panther: rebooted tchalla. Storm introduction. Sam Wilson captain America in the movie. So 3 main characters tchalla, storm, and Sam Wilson cap. Flashbacks of tchalla grandfather and captain America steve Rodgers. End credit scene tchalla meets Sam Wilson cap and is asked to join the avengers.
X-men 2: same team as movie 1 but now wolverine, storm, and night crawler are added to the team.
F4: sequel to the first movie
Phase 2
X-men 3
Blade
Wolverine 1945
Captain America secret empire
Spectacular Spider-Men
Avengers vs x-men
Explanation
X-men 3: third movie in the trilogy
Blade: reboot movie with mahersha Ali
Spectacular spider-men: Peter and miles kinda like Spider-Man 2 ps5.
Wolverine 1945: wolverine and captain America steve Rodgers team up. In the end steve gets frozen in ice.
Captain America secret empire: Sam Wilson captain America movie. Sam Wilson in this timeline became cap because he was inspired by the old ww2 cap Steve Rodgers. Steve Rodgers was found in ice by hydra and they experimented on him like in the old mcu how they did bucky. Steve becomes hydra cap and now Sam Wilson captain America, winter soldier, and falcon have to unfortunately face Steve. Steve ends up sacrificing himself in the end.
Avengers vs x-men: the Phoenix force is coming to earth for Jean grey and jean wakes up from her coma as the dark phoenix leading to the avengers and x-men teaming up to face her after they fought each other. Hulk returns in this movie to join the avengers.

I’m not familiar, what does this mean?
@@ElvisMenezes1 lots of video game franchises were pumping out games every year and eventually had to change their release schedules and brew better games. That’s what resulted in battlefield 1, assassins creed origins, some cod games even Pokémon had a formula which they changed for Pokémon legends arceus
Phase 4 shxts on Phase 1
Very thought provoking narrative. Thank you!
What if they modeled things after CSI (and I’ll admit I didn’t watch that so I may not know what I’m talking about),
But what if there was:
Marvel Cosmic
Marvel NYC (essentially the Netflix series which I really enjoyed)
Marvel Earths Mightiest Heroes
Maybe there is a 4th or 5th brand (I still remember the West Coast Avengers Comic Book)
I always thought that after endgame they should have had 3 sections- stuff happening on earth, stuff happening throughout the rest of the galaxy (cosmic), and stuff happening with the more magic or multiversal characters like doctor strange.
good video
Thanks
They need a new 10 year plan from Alan Horn. Look him up.
They've used up all the jeopardy in the universe, literally. You've made killing off half the universe a story point. You can't get much jeopardy or tension than that. Everything else is small beans. Doing it all from square one is star wars all over again.
goddamn, we need to bring back artistic integrity
Based 👍
Wait, the current MCU has a plan?
10:57 the MCU's narrative leading up to Thunderbolts is actually super underrated
You say Marvel. I prefer to say Disney. It all started as soon as Disney bought the property. They did the same to Star Wars
Marvel was under disney since Iron Man 2🤡
@@mrmxyzptlk3911exactly, the quality has been on a steady decline since then with a sharp drop after endgame. Ironman 1 is still the best movie in the franchise.
11:10 u forgot No Way Home
Marvel is dead bro. Accept it. The only reason people will still go is because of the cinema experience and some innocent dopamine. No one is invested in these characters no more, No one is invested in the storyline, most people probably don't even know what the events are. Mcu became an activity for when you're bored. Nobody cares about the story anymore
That’s an opinion, not a fact. Don’t treat it as a fact.
does 1 followed by 9 zeros sound "dead" to you?
@@thecloggedtoilet5249 deadpool didn't save marvel. People didn't leave the theatre thinking "I'm gonna follow the mcu now"

For me MoM, No way home, Shang chi is great to build up the multiverse saga, and Quantumania, i think it can be a better movie to make kang as a threat,
Then the marvels, shehulk, and ms marvel are unnecessary or maybe can be better movie/series... but for loki, it was great
other one is secret invasion. i remember one yt video he said that secret invasion should be avengers film before we going to avengers doomsday(before was kang dynasty), to mix up other hero because it seems like skrull is an avengers level threat with super skrull
For eternels idk i dont like it at all... and thor 4 is unnecessary or maybe they can wait up after multiverse saga because gorr seems like a interesting character with his necrosword which we know it from Knull... i think this movie can set up Knull as the next threat for avengers movie after multiverse saga
bro wipe ur camera! good vid
Appreciate it
I am a huge marvel fan but I don't watch the shows
How can this video reach marvel😫
Well the end of Infinity War wasn't impactful at all.
Bro is Dopinder
is anyone really that much interested in a long superhero saga anymore ? millennials were the OG consumers of superhero "films".
Thank you 🙏🏼
No, stop making this one long story with the same actors who age and die. Recast-reboot. It's about the characters, not the actors. Now they're tying in old actors and stories from other studios. Marvel has superior (see what I did there?) characters to DC, but they don't know what to with them. I'm dreading everything I've heard of they're future projects.
i hope that the MCU dies, it's been around too long and don't know what the hell they're doing anymore and it needs rebooted with an entirely new cast
Incels gonna spam every darn comment box.
Iron Man is literally about being against the military industrial complex lol
Lol
The Stark Logo in the MCU is literally mocking the Lockheed Martin logo and Lockheed Martin is known for corrupt arms dealing.
I thinks it’s too much or too over…
6:04 I've LONG wanted Disney to bring back the original Avengers actors for a monster-of-the-week/semi-anthological Secret Avengers series set between Civil War and Infinity War, about Cap and Nat fighting villains while hiding from the government
honestly they should have taken a few years break after endgame. endgame was such a good and powerful ending, it woulda made sense to lay low for a bit. but nope, right after 1 big thing, they immediately start pumping out more projects on big scales like the multiverse
(btw i think a show about spider man on disney plus would be cool and bring in a lot of money it doesn't have to be mandatory just a show about some street level conflict)
I think they should have gone all in with the shows instead of the movies. There are so many stories to be told and movies don't have enough time.
Go woke AND go broke is the current marvel strategy
Step 1 to save Marvel, STOP THE WOKE BULL SHI!!!!
Yassssss! Let’s go back to sleep PLEASE 😴😴😴
It has little to do with woke culture, it has everything to do with corporate pandering, emphasis on nostalgia, brain-dead fan service, lack of direction and them doubling down on multiverse, self-referencial humor and over bloated nonsensical world building. It needs a hard reset
Over 30 billion at the box office isn't good enough for you all? Don't think anyone in here can do better. Marvel doesn't need saving.
Fr they had a good run why can't people just accept that
It’s the downtrend that’s concerning, not the profits. They still make profit but the writing is on the wall, people don’t care as much because the projects are worse and worse

You could’ve missed a few shows like Hawkeye, Moonknight, SheHulk (xd), etc. But anything else and your basically screwed and confused for any future shows/movies from marvel
