TIP: Feeding Trough can be configured to only allow specific dinos (like Achatinas) so you could put cake in the trough and not be concerned other dinos will eat it.
if i remember correct, the feeding cooldown will still apply in the trough. so, once 1 snail ate a cake from it, it will have the 30 sec cooldown and only after that another snail can eat. with good level/high food snails that should not become an issue tho.
taking a brake is good don't feel bad for doing so. it helps keep you grounded and reduces burnout. i use to work multiple jobs that took all my time and had a complete brake down. so take brakes often. i also noticed that i was more motivated and my brain worked better after a long rest. i just recently came across your videos and started watching your old ones along side the other guys. you guys drown out the silence when i work from home. so thanks for that. so ya take brakes often helps you make better content.
I think your concept of "Quality" is waaay higher than what your fans actually want. Quality for me is the fact you can play the game with amazing graphics, that you can play without boosted settings and mods cause you have this job. And on the cherry on top, you are a really fun dude!!!
Don’t wanna be that guy syntac but is there anyway you can bring some awareness to wild card about the single player issues cos a lot of people can’t play cos it isn’t saving anything and they don’t listen to anyone unless they have a following
I've had a few issues but after using the save world command then exiting to the main menu then closing the application, I've had no issues on ps5. Don't get me wrong, they need to fix it, but that's been a solution that works for me until they reintroduce the save button
I know the issue you’re facing. There is a solution. The problem is there is an assist overflow at coordinates 50 50. I don’t know why this is, but a dinowipe will fix it. It’s only a temp fix, but it is better than nothing.

Snail farm tips and tricks. (sorry, this is very late). Snails can be on follow and wander at the same time and still produce. This means snails do not have to be caged like before and once they settle around their guide they stop moving! Making collecting even large numbers of snails organized and easy. Snails have no oxy stat, one way to keep them safe is shallow water on follow to a water dino. Few water creatures attack them outside the swamp making this a very safe no wall space to keep them. Once you get food stat over 10K (you can do this even with mid-level snails) they only really have to be feed weekly or every 10 days. Still, I like to just make cakes daily once setup. Veggie cakes and Theri combo for boss fights makes keeping up on the cakes worthwhile.
I have my snails on top of my kibble farm and they're constantly falling through the ceiling. I'm glad to see I can fix it so easily by just weighing them down. As always, cool build and great video!

There was a cave in the mod map Caballus in ASE that had "Cave Level" Achatinas all around level 350 that could actually be tamed. Those things could make THOUSANDS of Achatina Paste per day.
The snails seem to fall through the floor when bumping into each other. I've found that separating each snail into a walled off quarter square allows them to be on wander without having to overload them with stone. One advantage of this is that you can then use them to store surplus organic polymer.
I like the pointy structure/ It looks really nice. I've got to say it's good to have you back and I look forward to what your new design for a greenhouse will be.
Tip: Do not use wooden railings - they do get like "meshed" in the gap and go under, you can use stone railings, those work for us. Question: will you add superstructures mod? basickly S+ migrated into ASA Fun tip: The snails can wear ghillie helmet - makes it look like wandering bush XD

Why am I not surprised to hear that WC messed up the christmas update mod. Generally whenever you remove a mod, it removes all related stuff for that mod. If structures added by the mod are removed, stands to reason skins would be as well. For structures and players. There's no way those guys would get it set up correctly right away.
Ik it went from a video every single day to like 1 every week or so. And there’s not like a recognizable pattern. Sometimes he posts one in 5 days and sometimes it’s like. This time jt was 2 weeks. Does anyone know if there’s a reason he isn’t uploading often anymore? Bc as far as I can tell there is no explanation. It make me wonder if there’s something going on in his personal life or if he just isn’t interested in the game anymore.
If you want to just put out videos whenever they're ready, I think that's gonna be great. As much as I enjoy having a new video every day, there's plenty of other daily stuff to watch and it gets hard to keep up with it all. As for Sossage Party, Green Hell is a really interesting game. Can't wait until you guys start making stuff with mud. Also, great build. I'm definitely gonna adapt one of my current buildings with this design. And the little monkey would be a great option for something to put with the snails to pick up the paste.
Tip for taming snails next time Syntac. You can grab the snail in a beak of your argy by C key. That way when you dismount your argy it is still holding the snail for you to shoot it.
I believe Achatinas can eat normal crops and berries once tamed. I think that the only benefit to feeding them veggie cakes past taming is that it boosts paste production (don’t quote me on that though).

Syn, take as many breaks as you want man. Any video you put out is a click from us anyway, and believe me when I say that we all enjoy them the way they are already. But mental health comes first always. Put out videos when you can, but just know I’d end up watching just so I can hear something as silly as “snorgy”. Keep it up man.
Not sure if the settings on the server I play on or if you’ve figured it out after this video was made but you can change the alter the greenhouse to look normal like on ASE. Hope this helps

I was just enjoying it because it was a new game that you’re exploring and even if it’s not “exciting” I’ll still have it playing while I eat😂
They really need to give Mesopithecus the ability to picl up items. And I also think Gigantopithecus should be able to access Inventories and put things from a creature Inventory into a vault. Automating the gathering of basic resources like Wood and Stone needs to be a thing (there is a reason why Automated Ark is one of the most downloaded mods and also why Palworld is so popular)
I just have my snails in little triangle cages of stone railings on a triangle ceiling. Just need to be 1 foundation apart and they won't breed. Can walk up to the rail and access inventory over it.
Picking up the paste would be a great job for the little thief creature. Pego I think it’s called? Everybody already hates that thing. But it would give it a use to tame.

Does wildcard have some sort of bug reporting page or anything? It’s only if they are on wandering and come in contact with another snail they will fall through a ceiling/floor or even the ground through the world. RIP Jerry the snail.

Should be able to get all of the paste under them by dropping something on the ground near them and hitting F. Not sure if the yield is worth the effort though.

I use the mod SCS collections….basically comes really close to the way the soul terminals worked in ase. So far no issues! :) I’d highly recommend you check out dude! Great vid btw!!! :D
Sorry. Late to the party. Anyone know where I can find the breeding settings Syntac uses for his ASA server? I was watching one of Axeman’s videos where he got 100% imprint with one care on this server and I would love to have that for my single player game on Xbox.
I also still have my winter wonderland mod running, will do until there is conformation that my stuff will stay after taking the mod off (without doing ini magic), give me time to get all the chibi's, lol.
I love watching these videos cuz it’s the only way I get to enjoy this game I’m not going to waste my time on a game that won’t save my progress this game is so broke
Man I love achatinas they are great. I just wish the were a little smarter. I left mine on wandering inside my base and it decided to climb on top of a furnace and killed itself.

Also if you store your unused organic polymer in snails, it triples the spoil timer

I'm on xbox and it doesn't make me save, it saves automatically. Haven't had any issues

If you place a snail in a wooden cage and have the cages 1 foundation apart they will not mate.
Also they have a harder time escaping the cages.

Stick a Pachy in the middle of them and put them all on long distance follow.
if you want to get rid of the stone, the cages still work. i keep a snail, oviraptor, and dungbeetle in them and havent had them escape once

As far as I know, that’s a mod. A server I’m on and my own server both have it. I haven’t noticed that they’ve done anything in the base game like it.

Buildings despawn before dinos so they fall through. If you teleport to or from your water pen you'll kill your fish too

if you put the stack that is about to spoil on top of the stack that isn't about to spoil, you can extend the timer

Try looking into the Automated Ark mod, it’s quite useful and can maintain the vanilla feel

Im sure someone has already suggested this but a cage should solve your escape artist issue. I keep all my snails in one and have never had a issue.
I had issues with my snails getting under the map, not just buildings. Seems to not be an issue if you have them in a cage though.

Interesting fact the first snail that had 79 paste had all higher stats (Lvl 226) than one that had 82 paste (Lvl 204)
