In this video I will show you how to breed dinos for mutations, I will show you how to create bases, combine stats, and even show the newer mechanics implemented in this game. I will explian how negative mutations works. Hey, first of all great video and explanation! I’ve been taming hight level pteranodons and i wrote everything down but the higher stats that i want to use are on 3 females. Should i breed one of them with a random other high male so i get a male with the same stats as the step dino i want to use? Or is there another way? Thanks

yeah, you just need a male to start the process. if all of your stats are on females any level male will do@@dennisdelsael1485

Iv got to melee 4 done about 1000 eggs and cant get the 5th I get them in orther stats but not melee
People tend to mislead people by saying there video is the best. I can honestly say I have over 4k hours in Evolved and have watched a lot of videos to try and understand how breeding and mutation works. This video so easily explains it all to me know. Thanks very much for your time and effort in making this video. People may complain about the length of the the video but I think it was perfectly done. Going through every repetitive step of the damage mutations helped drill it into me to the point that I finally understand it.

@seeshellgaming6883 it seriously helped out. I jumped into breeding (mutation stacking) after over a year of just combining stats and calling it good. This vid makes it clearly understandable
I loved your old ASE breeding video. This one is even better. Great job explaining how the mutations work in ASA. I had no idea that the 254 was on top of the regular stats. And this is one of the few videos that I have seen explaining negative mutations. Most people just say to double the females when you go over 20. Thank you and I will definitely recommend this video to other players when they are asking about mutations.

that was not only the best breeding guide but a really great put together video amazing and thanks for putting as much effort in as you did i usually get 10 to 15 mins into a breeding guide or switch off but this was really interesting to watch the full way made a 2hr + guide seem like it was 30mins ❤

I think this might be the single best educational video I have ever watched regarding ark. I have over 1000 hours in the game and have ascended off of a couple maps in ASE, but most of the breeding I did was not optimal at all, and was very surface level breeding to maybe 5-10 mutations of a few different dinos. I love getting into the nitty gritty number based things so breeding and min maxing have always intrigued me, but I’ve never been able to fully understand it until now

Thank you! All my ASE breeding was based on your previous video. This one is even more detailed. Trying to understand why not starting with LVL1s and only the stat line like before.
what do you mean, like when I was halfway through the video? Do you mean like why I had that level 1 about halfway through? Let me ask you a question, are you playing singleplayer, are you playing unofficial, or are you playing on an official server?
@@seeshellgaming6883sorry for being not clear - hard to explain. private server (Astoria). In ASE I had my whole pool of base females as level 1s. I leveled the individual chains with a clean "only DMG" or "only HP" point male. and kept doing this till maxed out on the chain. later combined the chains. Do you see an issue with this on ASA?
no not really, but i never start out personally with a level 1, but you can do that as long as you are cool with mutation a lot. @@jakman76
