They do suck man
Well it can pretty much take away 75% of a gigantosaurus health
Well that's disappointing to hear, especially since it's a much cooler Concavenator
Yep they suck even on a boosted stat server, I found the quickest way to knock them out is to only go to the rock salt deposits as they give the second most torp, until insaluna got it's fasos their rather easy to knock out on there.... Soo worth it tho
Please read these things about Fasola:
-Base fasola is as strong as rex (dont know abt higher ones)
-Submerge atk dmg depends on drag weight and current hp (from 25% to 70%)
-Yes it can submerge giga, it'll do 56000 dmg to wild giga (doesnt work on worms, golems etc)
-If u stay in one place it while underground, it'll burrow itself with u, making u invisible u other players
-Its as fast or faster than sarco in water
-Its bite reduce armore by 2.5%, max stack is 10
-Doesn't take topor dmg (great for manticore boss)
-Debri whip atk depends on drag weight too (0.5 to 10sec) yes, it can stop worms from attacking for 10 sec!
-Gets movement speed boost while going down hill
-Good for travelling just turn off harvesting
So pump its stam and hp as it's main dmg is hp/weight based...its more usefull in pvp than pve...and thats the reason its dossire said it's weak against multiple or smaller targets
a very useful information for the Fasolosuchus, thank you for this information it would be useful for me and the others who have a problem with Faso, Syntac could use this useful information. appreciate it 👍
it can do 56000 dmg to a giga?? thats actually insane
@@phantomsrage6523 yeah thats 70% DMG but giga takes a long time to submerge...remember if u take more than 10% DMG during the process, it'll cancel the submerge atk and stun fasola...so always use debri whip before submerging
youre a friggin life saver thank you
I hope syntac will see this
Reginald dying is just a way of him saying hi at this point
Oh my god, they killed Reginald !!
@@LotuswalkerOh no! Anyways
love how he labeled the way points salt and just kept calling it sand.
Actually, as well.
Literally looking right at the words "salt" and still saying sand. :'')
Fun fact: The irl Fasolasuchus is the largest terrestrial non-dinosaur predator
i just searched it up and its 7 metres
tall apparently dam wow
@@ikeabrandlamp296long, it was 1.5-2 meters tall
Being 7 meters long and around 6ft tall is crazy
@@peeperleviathan4970hey I did some research it’s actually 8-10 meters long and 2 meters tall and its also longer than both sarcosuchus and ceratosauarus
no its the andrewsarchus
Name in Pita. Acronym for Pain In The Ass
I was about to write that up lol
Perfect name😂
Guh
My friend named his Megatherium that... If you saw the trouble that bastard put us through, you'd understand
lol, great minds. Came here to say this as well. Take my upvote instead ;)
Automated server restart is a Nitrado setting, it's required once a day at least, I have mine set to 4am local time so there is very rarely any overlap between playtime and server restart.
For the rollback, that's also dependent on Nitrado server settings, there's an "autosave interval" or similar verbiage , which I have set to 5 minutes, the smallest window available, so if there are server restarts, it only rolls back 5 minutes max. Also doing a "Admincheat saveworld" when the server restart message pops will let you load back in after restart exactly where you were. Hope this helps! :)
He'll probably see it, but the streamer vision definitely blocked the slaughter button when he pulled out the hatchet. It was the bottom option.
“Streamer vision” is an overly nice way to put it.
Syntac: I like non conventional taming without the same old knocking out Dino’s, also Syntac: (new tame) is the worse ever! Every single time 😅
He’s not the brightest bulb in the room
He's right. For one, you can get kicked off without the control meter being all the way down. The torpor takes ages to go up. And I honestly cannot imagine anyone taming this thing and being like "yeah this is so much fun, just smashing into rocks all the time for 2 hours". Conventional taming can get boring too, but at least you can move around and shoot.
@@ZillaGame77your wrong, the reason he was getting kicked off was cause of the fasola going up cliffs and it was pushing the fasola out the ground, and the only way it’s going to take 2 hours is if you only hit the normal rocks, salt and some metal makes the knockout time at most 15ish minutes, I’ve seen it before in base game settings.
@@jaxsparrow1963 Then programm it so that he doesn't count the ruins as a cliff, because it's not? I don't see the argument here.
Maybe if you get lucky, doesn't change the fact that it's boring.
yea honestly, if one of the biggest issues is the torpor rising rate than the issue is with the numbers and not the actual taming method
Call salt, sand one more time .... i dare you, lol.
I'm sitting here thinking "damn syntac lmao. When are you gonna finally realize you're calling it something else?? Lmao" I mean 2 times I get at this point. Lol. Even 3 times with syn. Lmao. But like 8 DAMN TIMES?!? THATS A RECORD!!!😂😂😂😂
Sand
Sand.
Wow guys, way to pour sand in the wound
@@firebreathingcow he, he
Gotta love how they made salt deposits one of the most effective ways of increasing the torpor on a fasolasuchus, and then decided to spawn many of said salt deposits RIGHT next to ruins, one of the few things that will immediately knock you off of a fasolasuchus while you're trying to tame it. Which might have made sense if the salt deposits increased the torpor by A LOT, like 25% or more per deposit, giving it a risk/reward situation that makes sense, but as it is, it just feels mean spirited.
Around the map border are lots of salt deposits with nothing else around. Most of them (atleast North side) can be reached before being knocked off. I was able to tame a 145 and was only knocked off twice.
Trying to reassure players that you can more easily tame a Faso with salt/metal instead of rocks is like telling someone that they can get a million dollars faster by saving dollars instead of quarters.
It’s terrible no matter what you do
Terrible taming terrible tame 0/10 wildcard
I remember all the day 1 videos, "You're taming the Fuso WRONG!!!" Only to be told we need to hit really out-of-the-way nodes for a 1-2% increase of torpor. Gtfo content creators.
@@LeBakasura Terrible taming method, I'll give you that, but 56k damage to a wild Giga with submerge attack and the ability to stun a worm for 10 whole seconds kind of disproves the "bad tame" thing. This thing is an absolute MONSTER in the right hands.
@@IchbinX EXACTLY!! That was arguably the most frustrating part cuz to hear them talk about it, you’d think they had discovered an easy way to do it, when in reality it’s still near impossible.
The concept of the taming method is absolutely awesome, it just needs some serious changes. Most notably its torpor needs to go up WAY faster, and you should have more control over its turning. I haven’t tamed one myself yet (challenged myself to beat The Island before moving to Scorched), but it looks so frustrating.
meh i tamed a 150 and it was not "hard" Just takes a long time to knock out.
I like to compare this one to the Amargasaurus. Really cool taming method, that really needed to be tweeked. But, of course, Wildcard doesn't like revisiting anything, or doing work.
I honestly think the tame could be far more tolerable if you just kept control over it instead of constantly getting swerved wildly into walls and getting thrown off so much.
@IchbinX atleast with the amarga there's way to cheese it
Faso you're screw by either creating salts routes
Or taking risks by riding it to metal spots near cliffs
@@IchbinX*snail games
Pro tip: you can see all the salt or rock deposits on the map, they are the green/brown patches in the dessert , you can look at your map while riding the fasulo. Also if your at a salt deposit with ruins, hit 1 salt or rock node and go to the next deposit.
Name it Nibelsnarf. It's a leviathan from Monster hunter that swims through sand you can blast it out the ground with explosives just like the Fasola!
A diablos would be cool too, but it isn't a firebreathing devil like being so, yeah good name suggestion, though taming it might just be trying to beat the devil.
Name it concavenator to create the ultimate confusion 😂😂
The Fasola does an armor break with its bite, so the more you hit something the more damage you do to it. I think the stacking stops at around a 25% armor break.
The armor breaking stack can also start from things biting you (fasola does a tiny bit of recoil)
And I believe the sand submerge does percentage..? Does loads more damage to larger creatures like rexes or paracers than small things like pegos.
I think Atreides would be a cool name. Little Dune reference.
Syntac: is in desert full of sand
Also syntac: searching for "sand" deposits
godzilla ahh thumbnail

A Pro tip to tame fasolasuchus IS TOOOOO
pray...
Me about to go tame a fasola
The fasola: Did you pray today!
I love how I knew immediately after the last episode that he was going to HATE Taming these guys, I got a good chuckle the second I saw the title 😂
*Fasalosuchus submerge attack can sink ANYTHING including wyverns, gigas, and carchars.* The only exceptions are burrowing creatures(like deathworms and purlovia) and bosses.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, it does damage BASED ON MAX HEALTH. I've hit gigas for 4k damage in testing before, and it stuns anything halfway submerged so you can stop gigas from attacking for several seconds while your tames kill them.
DEATHWORM HUNTING! Your debris whip stops deathworms from attacking you, but they don't run away! This lets you hit them for several seconds without punishment, and fasas make AMAZING deathworm hunters! So far none of my other tames have done as well, a single high level fasa can kill 6-7 deathworms in one run before it needs to heal(my fasa has 15k health and 380% melee for reference).
SWIMMING! For some reason, fasalosuchus is an amazing water tame. It swims faster than sarcos and attacks twice as fast underwater! If you transfer your fasa to other maps, it might be a great tame to clear out sea caves with and hunt alphas!
ARMOR PENATRATION! Fasa attacks put a stacking debuff on enemies that makes them take more damage from all sources! It also reduces/removes armor, making creatures with natural damage reduction much weaker against fasas that will almost always deal full damage! Only bosses ignore the armor penetration.
Overall, they're great utility tames and do decently at every job. They also get lots of health per level and regenerate stamina while burrowed, even during sandstorms. If you burrow during a sandstorm, your fasa will gain stamina like normal making them great traveling mounts during bad weather!
I just wish they had less torpor, the knockout taking so long totally ruins taming them.
Took out a 212 imprinted Fuso for a test drive. For the amount of work you need to do, to tame a breeding pair, and raise it? It is beyond not worth it. It's literally just a powerful sand sarco.
It’s not that hard if you have the patience for it
@@raydoncarroll5612 Nah, for what you get out of it, they need to increase the torpor gain. Keep in mind, you're only using this thing on this map. It's next to useless everywhere else.
Womp womp, it's a fun creature and it's a little weaker than a Rex imo. Cry harder
@@acoustyx6063 lol, you lyin p.o.s. XD
You think the ability to stun a Deathworm for TEN WHOLE SECONDS and to deal 56k to a Giga when it submerges it is underwhelming? It's submerge damage and debris whip stun time are based on drag weight, being more effective the bigger the target is, with the highest weight class being stunned for 10 seconds on whip and taking 70% of their max hp on submerge, granted that Golems and Worms are immune to submerge and the bigger the creature the longer it takes to go under. Plus, it's base damage is comparable with a Rex without accounting for mutations, while also having it's regular bite apply a debuff to armor for 2.5% more damage, stacking up to ten times, meaning anything it fights takes up to 25% more damage, as the armor debuff applies to any and all resistances, not just things like armored body parts (like a Trike's head taking reduced damage) or saddles. It gets faster moving downhill, is immune to torpor, can swim just as fast if not faster than a Sarco in water if transferred off map and is great for land travel on-map if you disable resource harvesting (plus if you don't, it is by far the best method of gathering INSANE amounts of flint for gun/sparkpowder production). On top of this, it is entirely immune to torpor damage and it's whirpool forces fliers who stray too close to land upon activation, both of which make it extremely useful in the Manticore fight, and standing still while buried long enough causes it to fully submerge making you invisible to any players not in your tribe, as well as all wild creatures.
Check the Automated Tasks option under tools on the left hand side of your Nitrado screen for the server. There might be a task set to occur that if deleted, should stop the Automated Restarts from happening.
Yoo I'm finally all caught up with the scorched earth playlist. Been watching them nonstop for the past week. Keep it up brother.
Just wanna put this out there syntac i do thank you for all your videos i learned playing ark through your vids and i hope to one day join you on a server keep up the good work
The strat we've been using is to have a mate follow with an argy. We ride the faso as far as we can towards a great area near green obelisk, as it loses control the mate with an argy grabs us and flies out of aggro. Then rinse and repeat until we get it to the right area.
I cant imagine trying it on official rates or a PVP server.
Watching you struggle the same way I did with a lvl 115 brought me joy
Bruh I tamed a 130 and went thru hell 😂
I´ve noticed while taming one that you can indeed control it. So what I´ve found out was that it will go the direction your looking at, but once you hit something like a rock, tree, salt rock, etc... it will loose it senses and just do half a turn and then it will go again to the way your camera is facying, hope this info helps anyone looking to taming the Falo :D.
the fasola does gain damage from melee %, its just not as clear as with other dinos because of its armor shred, and the armor shred applies both on your bite and when the fasola is hit, so damage tests on wild dinos that fight back is difficult.
I've got my fasola up to doing 900 damage per bite before any armor shred (with imprint) and it can easily kill deathworms, so its not a weak creature by any means, but it is definitely not worth how hard it is to tame, but once tamed its very fun
Thanks for the info. I was really hoping that these guys would be good because they look so damn cool
I like how there was an option to slaughter when he had the hatchet but just didn't see it lol
I love how the vid ends with Syntac about to tame the fifth Reginald
One of these days he'll tame a couple and breed spares... as well, Actually.
Btw Syntac, the grind for the Fasola MAY be worth it. Fasolas do NOT take any torpor damage from anything (to my knowledge) including the Manticore. These things are amazing against it, so instead of using Rexes for the fight, maybe use Fasolas? I have the Acro mod, so I'm going to use those for the first time, then I'll try Fasolas. Apparently thorny dragons are capable of killing the Manticore, so that might say something about the difficulty of the Manticore xD
you can see under the sand in first person by just staying still for a bit of time and holding a spyglass in your hand. it will burry underground, and normally when it goes fully under it forces you to third person, but when holding a spyglass it keeps you in first person and lets you see under, and also slyglass under wich is useful.
Wait so if you need a name judging by the colours maybe zilla sesne it doesnt quite look like godzilla but has mord upright spike's (love the content👌)
Could name it Dirty Croc. Lol, love your videos. You have helped me out so much on my ark runs.
Yeah there’s really not much sand in the desert. Only a few big sand crystals, but rolling hills of salt as far as the eye can see
After taming 6-7 of them I've Cole to realize the best tools to use for both resource and ease is the basic grenades. Don't have to be too far and you can knock em out of the ground more safely
OOH! syntac you should breed them and mutate the fasolasuchus and create colors like godzilla!
Whenever he's riding the Faso, I run it in 2x speed. It's so funny hearing him talk and laugh with a sped up voice 😂
Syntac always makes my highs 10x better
Knocking out a sand gator through blunt force trauma and concussions is amazing, almost as great as feeding beer to the Ark Additions elephants
The burry swirl attack works on wyverns
Fourth. Going into surgery before I get to finish it :(
Stay strong legend 💪
Hope you get better man
Have a safe surgery
Hope all goes well!
Stay strong pal
Not sure if anyone's mentioned but the submerge abilities damage scales with the current hp of the creature you submerge. I submerged a creature on my server that had 500k health and it did 238k damage. These are vanilla rates.
Thanks for all the hard work Syntac
Fasolasuchus ability i think does % dmg so the more hp they have the more damage it does and Undertaker would be a pretty cool name
Can't wait to pull my hair out trying to tame this thing. It's gonna be "fun"
I always take a specific path in the desert and it works perfectly. I also use grenades since its waaay easier and resource wise cost way less. Lmao
Name suggestion for it: Tremor(s) I can't not think of graboids and that franchise when I see a pain in the ass sand monster
watching panic syntac will cease to amaze me. you hovered over the slaughter button twice man! :D
You could name her Mohs (or Mohlly). the Mohs scale measures hardness of rock and minerals!
When you are in sand and don’t do anything for about 2-3 second, it will turn into sand mount, and take out your spyglass on first person mode, you will be able to see under :) submerge damage is based on opponent’s hp. Each bite or enemies melee attack to fasola will decrease their armor by 2.5% which stacks up to 10(25%)
can try to do a saveworld command right before a server reset and hope it will help to prevent a server roll back..
I also agree that most passive taming methods just end up to be frustrating buggy mess.
I haven’t got a lot of fasos but what I can say is there’s a lot of salt rocks at the bottom of the map, decent distance between each one also but if Faso isn’t in the area, you’ll possibly need more explosives to drag them there
once you hit something with them it will go its own way for a couple seconds until you get control back. just make sure to stay away from any solid obstacle it cant destroy then you are good. it can take a long while but if you know what you are doing its not that hard :)
and yes it can also glitch out of the ground sometimes like you had 😅
new drinking game: Take a shot everytime @Syntac calls "Salt", sand. lol
Lol Good ol' Agent Travis the home boy!
There’s a setting you can turn off to make the explorer notes shut up when you close them. I saw axe do it, ask him
"Reginald is dead." Classic reginald
Watching Syntac struggle made me feel so much better about my own 😂
Great video again syntac 😊
Syntac never fails
And there goes another Reginald. At this point, I lost track of how many Reginalds were lost😂
I think they should make all the taming methods like how it us for the Moschops; you CAN do a knockout tame, but doing the special method either gives a better result in general or *guarantees* a perfect taming effectiveness.
Also, they ought to just make Fasolasuchus the minigame, with no babysitting afterward. Do the thing and it's tamed.
Finally he will experience our pain
Grenades are much easier to use, brother. You can throw them from a further distance, as well! Also, salt, metal, crystal, and obsidian nodes are all helpful in knocking these guys. Finding a ton of normal rocks in a tiny area helps a lot, too.
I don't disagree but I wasn't out there looking to tame a fasola, didn't want to go back home just in case it disappeared, I had tons of c4 on me though
@@Syntac Makes sense. Either way, though, these are absolutely STILL a PAIN to tame. xD
Syntac dude how do you create such amazing long videos each day. You’re amazing at TH-cam keep up the work!
The way I tamed mine was I just had my map open and went from salt node group to group. Took me nearly 1/2 an hour, I found it quite a fun challenge
Oh man I knew this was gonna be a bad at the end of the last episode 😂
I love how he kept calling it sand even though he was reading salt 😂
The name for the fasolasuchus could be Juggernaut, since the way to knock it out is ramming into stuff lol
Great video dude. 😄
you need to have your spyglass out while on the back and then K cam for the worm finding to work
Numbskull sounds like a great name for it 😂
To go under the sand so you can look through the mesh for deathworms all you gotto do is stay still for a few seconds and it will bury itself and then pull out spyglass. Although imo best way to farm deathworms is to just do gamma manticore and kill 6x deathworms every fight while wyverns focus boss. A single rex is enough
The out of context i heard while.u were learning how to tame it....priceless I only listen to urvids sometimes when I'm working
Servers I play on do a daily server restart at a scheduled time so at least you know when it will happen. Still can have up to a 30 min roll back but better than the “surprise” restarts. When we don’t forget we usually just fart around base close to server restart.
Did a shiney last night lvl 170 and it took some time to finish the tame, patience is the key word, and I found that grenades work much better and is way cheeper👍
Oh Syntac 😂 this was stressful just watching you. Ya know, idk about this dang thing.
My best method in taming is to follow along the outskirts of the actual scorched earth part, that 9/10 has a mountain nearby there are tons of stones that trickles it up steadily and an occasional metal node as you get closer to the mountains that brings his torpidity up by A lot more than salt and bones. the only issue that I have is this method it him constantly getting distracted by other creatures, but the higher lvls can handle most things with ease.
U suffered soo much for that, syntac is regreting his decisions😂
I also hate that Nitrado has a reset scheduled by default and that it doesn’t do a save first. There is also a new “feature” to automatically restart on minor updates. I had to disable these in the Nitrado UI for my servers.
I was able to pump melee just fine my sand croc does does 1000 damage imprinted (on official settings)
Can’t wait to see mutations on these easily one of my favorite creatures in ark
6:31 that is the best part about Ark!
woah never been this soon
same
I have
They are really good for collecting flint
the thing with these new taming methods is that they mistake what people want. it’s not about having a new thing, it’s bout having fun.
people are bored of old taming methods not hate them. so the right way would be making a new AND interesting way to tame things.
but ark being ark… instead of trying to make a fun taming method, they just thought of a “new” method and leave it at that. and because ark is “supposed to be difficult” they just make it tedious. the problem is not that it’s challenging, though it is a factor, it’s that it’s annoying.
if they pump the knock out meter faster, make bumping into most things not completely useless, and make metal more accessible I’m sure people would actually enjoy the process. not make it easy, just less tedious. something they have failed to do for a while now.
from my experience, i think that if you ride it into the rocks and look right it,s gonna go left, so if you don,t want to go to the ruins on the right just look to the right and it,ll go to the left
hmmm, Fasola's are probably the reason why they removed most of t he ground metal notes. Would have been too easy/fast to knock them out. ^^
Although there's still some around the ridges south of green Ob; might be worth a try to get a Fasola up there to tame it?
11:38 they immune to manticore torpor and have the health pool that falls in line with a spino.
When he is calling salt deposits, sand deposits XD rip Reginald, poor thing is becomming a meme at this point :'D
I tamed one of these today, and it’s excruciating!
Im screaming SAAAAAALT here... lool
I know when I tamed it for the first time I had to do several salt nodes and rocks to get it to go down, plus there technically really strong against the Manticore cause they won't take any torpor
I think a good name for the Fasolosuchus is Headache. Because he bonks his head a bunch mixed with the taming being a headache.
k first of all yes you can see under the sand how to do it press space to submerge then you wait till the fasolasuchus decides to burrow under then use the spy glass then you can see its also not effected by the sand storm when your submerged so it dosnt slow down i noticed it goes faster down hills and slower up hills the bigger and stronger the dino the longer it takes for it to submerge it to take a chunk of their health out its slightly over half of the dinos health it can also force land flyers if they get close enough to the sandnado
You should name it Himani because of the white pattern is like a snow leopard pattern
