Imagine if the Gigaleak had contained 64DD content, would’ve gone from the event of the decade to the event of the century. So many mysteries would’ve been solved.
Nintendo wasn't entirely honest about Ura post launch. Clearly they planned more, in the 2000s they downplayed how ambitious Ura was in its youngest days so people wouldn't pester them about what they missed out on. They apparently did make extra Ura content, the oldest Kokiri Forest we have, which is very different, has DD in its filename. They probably didn't make a whole lot for Ura and it could've shrunk in scope as they wrapped up production on the base game. This would explain why final OoT has limited 64DD functionality.

We forgot Majora's Mask, you in the video and me in the comments heh. The game was codenamed Zelda Gaiden, it was supposed to use the 64DD's real time clock to give you a week to complete the game. The game may have used more of the add on's features, there's a lot of hearsay exchanged between people and on old sites and less properly cited documentation of lost 64DD software. I imagine Animal Crossing lost a lot of features when it moved to cartridge, it's not a game I care much about. IIRC it was born out of Mother 3 experiments.

After GoldenEye Nintendo should have asked Rare to make an expansion pack adding online play for the DD. It would have made it sell like hot cakes without much effort. Creating that all important compelling software lineup

I didn't "forget" Majora's Mask, I brought it up in the video multiple times & even gave it a small section in the "Ura Zelda" part.
