The 3D World mode actually has a playable mode where you can explore the world in question and take photos, it's even how you unlock everything that you can retexture. - Talent Studio's Movie making mode is definitely something that takes a lot to understand, but to add your character into a movie, you need to go into the character selection menu in the movie mode, there's also a background selection menu, and then you can make a movie using those in its own editing menu where it gets a lot more complicated, somewhat robust in certain aspects, but also pretty limited at times. - Polygon Studio is where I think you missed way too much, I think you went into the Simple mode on the left which is indeed just editing premade stuff, while the Expert mode on the right provides way more options, including a full actual model making mode, and the same premade parts mode but way better where you can add way more to it instead of just editing what exists, and a diorama edit mode. The premade objects mode is where the minigames are, which I'm almost surprised how you didn't say it's where Wario Ware's concept originated. There's also a full open world mode in it, where you make use of vehicle parts to help you explore the world, to find more vehicle parts in that world that makes you able to explore further. Polygon Studio is actually the game with the most content in it, there's a lot to do in it, but I can understand that it is not always easy to get it, especially when it's all in japanese, and even if I did translate them all into english, it's not always a lot easier to figure out. Also all of the Mario Artist games are compatible with each other and can import images, 3D models and stuff. About the 64DD cartridge port saving, it does not save back on the SD card if you use a 64drive, however on Everdrive 64, as in the official ones past version 2, the latest versions of the firmware should actually save back the content, IF you reset the console before turning it off. This transparent effect with the N64 on top of the DD64 is really cool!! Lot of people say the gamesack can't do transparency effect, like the Sega Megadrive.... Well, take that !
People finally noticing that Japan Pro Golf Tour 64 is the rarest released N64DD disk and also most likely the rarest officially released N64 game on the entire platform. Extremely rare and when you do find one costs an arm and a leg. Great review!!
I remember this when I was in Japan serving the military, back in the early 2000s. I think I saw it around the Akihabara electronic district area. It was very expensive. Anyway thank you Joe for doing a video on this!
That expensive price was due to the expansion never been released in stores. Nope, you had to order it by mail. Thats how nintendo planned to cover production costs ,but also the low number of orders made them realize that maybe the consumers were not as interested in the product, which cause it to never be localized in the west.
If only! Some of those graphics tells you how the N64 could have shined as a competing console! There's a certain warmth conveyed within the graphics from this system that I love. Shed a tear in wonder. 😪
When I was young and impressionable, I loved anything and everything related to gaming. My uncle used to give me the hardest time about this stuff over pc. He’s was always telling me pc is the master blah blah and while I could agree with him, in my young and impressionable mind, I wanted to try some exclusives everyone else was. I was denied a n64 growing up because my uncle said it was junk. While that was unfortunate and I made up for lost time, I now see what he was talking about. Because of inflation, the stuff probably doesn’t look too pricey nowadays, but if you were to go back in a time machine, you would realize that $20 was an exactly easy to come by let alone save up like now days. And the N64 was $100 for the longest time before they made it about 80. This tech of the 64dd is burning silver to mine gold… like for the price, all you doing is making your game look a little better, and access to exclusives.
Very, very cool joe.....this is the one system I've always marveled at, yet new absolutely nothing about, thanks for the education. This has always been the rune stone of classic game systems to me.....I've seen it but had no idea what the hell i was looking at. The end skit was priceless as usual.
Polygon Artist has a lot of weird side modes and minigames, and I've seen people make things like a 3D model of a Gamecube on that thing. But if you can't read Japanese the menus are a little difficult to get around. The racetrack minigame is some kind of Chicken Race minigame where you have to get your model to the end without falling over the cliff. Sound Bomber is literally Wario Ware before Wario Ware, even using the boombox from the first game. And there's Experiment World, an open world adventure thing where you take your model, drive it around a world where toasters give you tutorial tips and you get more parts that allow you to explore the world easier. There is a fan translation, too.
on the original snes mario paint, we used to use the animation feature to show a person on a bike hitting something, and then the red spray paint would show blood.... yeah, i think i was 11? was awesome

I dont know, man... i think Joe used dithering, gamesack can't be that powerful, can it?
@@MaxwelThuThu Sack processing at 7.6Mhz can do everything. 😉
Due to MEGA power indeed
People finally noticing that Japan Pro Golf Tour 64 is the rarest released N64DD disk and also most likely the rarest officially released N64 game on the entire platform. Extremely rare and when you do find one costs an arm and a leg. Great review!!
I'd like to see another "Games we just want to talk about" episode.
Fun episode this week, Mr Redifer!
*glad this channel still uploads.*
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you Westley!
28:30 I was able to save them on the everdrive x7, via the old method used for x5 and lower.
The reset button method.
Wasn't expecting you to show off your love of Green Dog on this one lol. Nice artwork Joe 👍
Thanks!
Thanks!
Glad that the channel still exist
You gotta admit the 64DD is pretty stacked.
Very good sack episode, Thanks Joe.
Good to see Game Sack is still going strong.
Game Sack Is Back Thanks Joe For All Your Work
This is the best edited episode to date, congrats
One of Joe’s lifelong goals is to bring up Green Dog in videos as often as possible.
Your custom F-Zero craft is quite evocative of a classic Colonial Viper. Nice work!
0:54 That is a VERY cool shot!
The skits at the end definitely need Dave back.
I love that Joe fixed the biggest issue of the 64DD: not having Green Dog.
Great video as always Joe.
64DD is a very interesting piece of hardware indeed.
The f-zero ship needs longer wings to look more like the viper. Knowing you're a Battlestar Galactica fan makes me like this channel even more!
6am & it's time for Game Saaaaaaaack! 👍🏻 Cheers Joe 😁🙏🏻
If only!
Some of those graphics tells you how the N64 could have shined as a competing console!
There's a certain warmth conveyed within the graphics from this system that I love.
Shed a tear in wonder.
😪
Spit my coffee out when I saw you were drawing Greendog. And -- very well! Would love to see a timelapse of it coming together.
“The radical surfer dude!”
Wasnt*
The production quality of these videos is👌🏾. You guys are a cut above the rest.
Oh Joe, your skits are ALWAYS entertaining!
Crazy that you were able to get your hands on this thing
Very, very cool joe.....this is the one system I've always marveled at, yet new absolutely nothing about, thanks for the education. This has always been the rune stone of classic game systems to me.....I've seen it but had no idea what the hell i was looking at.
The end skit was priceless as usual.
The only double D's from the 90s still playing with POWER!!
There is a fan translation, too.
on the original snes mario paint, we used to use the animation feature to show a person on a bike hitting something, and then the red spray paint would show blood.... yeah, i think i was 11? was awesome
As soon as I saw the stop motion in the beginning I hit subscribe. TH-cam needs more of that.
Yesss! I'm glad I stayed up for this!
I was literally looking for a game sack video about the 64dd yesterday and was confused why I couldn't find one... well done
2am perfect time for Gamesacks 👍
Did not expect this to ever be covered
64dd IS region locked, but it never released outside of japan. But there exist north American prototype discs that only run on north american 64dds
Joe, Game Sack is the best TH-cam channel of all time
That Doshen the Giant game is like Black & White.
Kind of. Yeah
Personally, I think this is the best episode of Game Sack yet!
I remember many, many years ago seeing an N64DD on ebay for around $500 and I didn't pull the trigger. I'm kicking myself hard for that
