I also want them to keep the creativity of raid bosses they had in 3. In two what is terramorphis other than just a big thresher with every thresher ability? What is hyperius other than an engineer with novas and a shield? Wotan was a 2 peice maliwan mech with enough fire power to level a country, and scourge yes was a roided up guardian but actually had mechanics that aren’t just shoot it till it dies, you have to shoot the explosive enemies to make him weak you have to survive the areas he teleports you to, and clear them out and get back before he regenerates too much health. @@Cashew1405 yeah. My big issue with them in B1 was that they felt like slower versions of existing weapons. Not that they were just like other weapons just that they felt like it.

I really like the suggestions in this video. Raid content (Traditional and Takedowns) is my favorite in the franchise. The way Gearbox hyped up Takedowns, I actually thought we were going to get something akin to one like every three months or so. Maybe that is too much to develop, but I certainly thought we were going to have more than two, especially with Randy talking about BL3 going to have the most robust end game of any game up to that point. I think that maybe they succeeded in some ways with the quality of content like Maliwan Takedown, Cartels and the Bloody Harvest, but I felt it came up short just based on raid content.
Bloody harvest and cartels were not fun events for me since you had to do each at the very least 25ish times to unlock new news skins, heads and gun skins. They unapologetically waste your time. Kinda crazy how we only got 2 takedowns in retrospect. I would've thought we'd get atleast 3, but I suppose too many people left after the guardian takedown fumbled the bag that hard
I don't have ideas for a bl4 endgame, but I've got one for a hypothetical Wonderlands sequel. I call it "The Fatemaker Trials". It's something similar to one of those last few things you mentioned, being a combination of Arms Race and the Chaos Chambers that takes what's good about the two modes and does away with what I think doesn't work as well. From the Chaos Chamber, we keep the partially randomly generated nature, but do away with basically everything to do with Chaos Levels. Instead of getting the same legendaries we've been getting but with an extra word added to the item card that somehow adds a fuckjillion extra damage, we get a new kind of rarity that is in parallel to Pearls that I will call "Celestines" for now, even though I have no idea how they should be differentiated. Instead of a steadily increasing damage resistance, there are enemy types and bosses exclusive to The Fatemaker Trials, as well as Champion versions of them. What's more, every modifier you accrue during a run will have both benefits and drawbacks to them; as an example, let's say you get a modifier that makes elemental puddles when you kill enemies with elemental damage, enemies will also take way more elemental damage. From Arms Race, we take the extraction shooter elements, but unlike there, we get to keep our character perks. You start with no gear, but with access to your character class(es) with all the perks you've unlocked, and as such, while you're at a disadvantage, you're not completely helpless if you're caught with your pants down by a slightly-chunkier-than-normal swarm of enemies. Between every fifth floor (which will always be some kind of bossfight) and the next, you get taken to a Loot Room where you can pick up new loot and extract anything you want to keep. As a way to balance this, however, you no longer have a Backpack, having to store everything in your equipment slots, meaning you can't just carry a mountain of loot into the Loot Room, no matter how good it is. As for special modes, you'd have your standard Fatemaker Trial, which is around 10 floors with two bosses randomly selected from a pool of bosses that you've fought plus some exclusive to the Trials, then you'd have Boss Rush, which is 10 consecutive bosses, also randomly selected, and then you'd have what I call "The one-hundred floors of suffering", which as the name implies is a Trial that goes for 100 floors, for a total of 20 bosses, and finally, the Endless Trial. Every floor you go down in the Trials increases the chance of a Celestine of dropping from a Boss or the Loot Room by .1%, meaning by the end of a normal run, you have a 1% chance of earning your Celestine from any of the sources you can earn them from.
I don't really care for pearls but if they want to bring back an extra rarity that is a lot harder to obtain, at least make them fixed parts or with very few varying parts. Same with quest rewards, make them fixed parts or add an actual ingame way to farm them instead of having to read only farm.
